"Stick with the Rancho"
The Punch Gran Puro is one of my all time summer favorites. Its slightly bitter finish is great with a few cold lagers. But i feel a bit disappionted with this size does not let the woddy cinnamon hints build up as much as the slightly larger Rancho does. Also this cigar seems to have more burn issues than the Rancho. I love the Gran Puro

"great mistake!"
I was in the humidor of my local cigar shop with my toddler son in my arms shopping for some Olivas, well my son grabbed this one out of the box and squeezed it hard. I felt obligated to purchase it, Im glad I did.
What this cigar lacks in size makes up for in aroma and smoke time. It took me almost 2 hours to smoke this little sucker. The aroma was absolutely wonderful. The draw was a touch tight for me, but not enough to ruin this smoke for me. It did require a few touch-ups along the way, but it never got hot on me even down to the nub. I cant really comment on the ash because i wasnt handling the cigar very delicately for the first half of the smoke, but most of it held on nicely. I would definately pick up a box of these if the price was right.

"Fan-freaking-tastic"
easily in my top 5 cigars of the year. tastes similar to a VSG, a tad less complex, but for the money, it's downright awesome. If you like sungrown wrappers, this one is beautiful and tasty!

"Excellent flavor, terrible construction"
I was excited to smoke this cigar as i love other Punch smokes, but the experience was less than I expected. Once the cigar lit it began to burn unevenly and the wrapper split slightly near the foot. I had to continually light the cigar to maintain a somewhat even burn. About half way in I finally got an even burn and the wrapper split again. The flavor on this full bodied smoke was excellent, but having to continually light the cigar killed the whole experience. I may give this another try because of the taste of it.

"My Hero"
I love this freakin' cigar! I tried my first late last year and am on my third box. This is (for me) the perfect drive time cigar. After about 60 of these behind me there were only three that fell short (2X odd burn and one had a draw like a garden hose). As consistency goes (especially for the $) that's damn good. The pre-light aroma is wrought with deep earthy tobacco yumminess. The flavor is very consistent with med-full solid tobacco flavors. Nothing nutty or fruity, just an earthy core taste with a subtle natural sweetness and a very pleasing aroma. I highly recommend this as a daily treat for the experienced smokeer looking for that great taste/value combination.

"nice"
had this one sitting in my humi for 18 months, looks really lovely... oily in deep chocolate hue. The band itself was very oily brown having absorbed a lot of the oils. Construction was great on this simple robusto. Burn was perfect and smoked nicely. not a whole lot of change in flavor, but gave a sweet earthy undertone that made it very enjoyable. Nice one to age for sure

"Average"
Being that this was my first experience with a Punch Gran Puro, I had expectations of pure, classic Honduran flavor. Draw was tight at the start, but became more manageable half-way through. Medium-bodied and smooth with notes of cedar, mild spice and nuttyness. I've had better Hondurans but this was by no means a bad smoke. Needs more spice and lacked overall complexity.

"Sweet Scent of Winter"
I wish there was a smoke scent category here. This Punch Gran Puro smelled exquisite. I think I inhaled more of this cigar up through the nose than any other I have ever smoked. Wonderful. It had some burn issues, had to flame out a canoe or two along the way. Flavor did not live up to the scent of the smoke, although it was quite fine in its own right with a Punch familiarity that includes burnt almond and scalded caramel. Mm. I haven't had a cigar under the stars in the cold calm in a long time. There’s a whole lot a charm to a cold clear night and a wonderful cigar. This one topped the Experience chart.

"Not Bad"
This stick looked and felt good, but the flavor wasn't what I was expecting from a Punch Maduro. It started out OK with a little spice, then got flat after a 1.4 of the cigar. Probably wont go back to this one.

"50-50 for me so far..."
I first one I smoked had been very well aged in the retailer's humidor and I received a very tasty and exceptionally sweet experience. One of my best cigar experiences actually. Consistently Punch in taste. Unfortunately the 2nd one I bought was not that good and a little to "earthy" for me. My theory is it needs more aging, considering I gave my full attention to the 2nd one.

"Flavorful, but not a great performer"
With a dark, oily, and streaky wrapper, this a solid and well-made cigar. It draws a bit tightly. The burn is uneven and requires some retouches, but it does produce a nice ash. This is a very flavorful smoke, with earthy, sweet, and cocoa flavors, medium to full in body.

Happened across this cigar at my local shop and thought it looked pretty good. Went back to the little lounge they have and fired it up. Dark and oily with nice construction and easy draw, even burn. I've nubbed everyone.

"not too shabby"
Not a bad little smoke. I was surprised because it actually took a while to burn for its size. Flavors were good when present, but I wish they were stronger all the way through. Went out at the halfway point and the ash was like a prostitute - blowing everywhere.

"Very enjoyable"
Nice dark oily wrapper, easy light and draw, no runs or errors through out. This is a nice 25-30 minute stick, rich flavor all-round good experience. Bought a box and use them as give-aways to golf buddies and baseball dads, they enjoy as much as I do. I have had a few cup out on me little but all in all I recommend.

"Flavor as wide as the Grand Canyon"
The wrapper was very dark at the foot, getting lighter at the head. It shined with an oily glow and the flawless wrapper felt lovely. An impressively firm roll expertly executed, it sported a very professionally applied cap that was large and well formed. The band is the classic Punch red with an added black ring at the bottom. Clipped cleanly and evenly leaving a level head. Great pre light draw showed real promise with an obvious dark and strong bite to the tongue.

Wow! This cigar is a real eye opener. Strong and powerful right out of the blocks, there’s obviously a lot of ligero in this blend. Medium bodied, but the flavor is aggressive with and inky woody flavor that takes some getting used to. Slightly off putting at first in its massive musculature, once acclimated it delivers good, solid satisfaction. So strong I lost myself in the experience for a bit and almost burned my fingers. Even the aroma is strong with a tall expansive scent.

Great with a latte and good conversation, the draw started tight and loosed up as it went. Towards the end there were expansive notes of toasted coffee and leather. A very nice evening smoke, not for smoking on an empty stomach.

Overall a huge, monster smoke that kicks in the door and takes no prisoners. Wide as the Grand Canyon. I bet this cigar will age very gracefully, revealing more of its depth as the years go on. Recommended.

"Pretty Good"
Well made solid cigar ,usual perfect construction. I haven't had a bad Punch yet. Decent flavor but I like the compexity of the Gand Cru line better.I probably would have enjoyed this cigar more if I didn't just smoke two Grand Cru's over the past two day's!

"Punchiest punch yet"
I don't know what all the bad press is about. I haven't had a bad punch gran puro yet. The first one I smoked was a little green but still very enjoyable. The more time they spend in the humidor, the better they are getting too. I can't wait to see these babies in a year. They do taste like honduran tobacco though so if you don't like that earthy flavor then you wont like these either. Try the rancho it is my personal favorite.
