Punch Grand Cru VR III

I think that JJMD has described this cigar in perfect detail. Beautiful looking cigar, and the flavors, as decribed below, mingled very well. The cigar lasted much longer than expected, which was a treat.

This interesting-looking figurado looks a little like a bowling pin, to be honest. Very attractive shape and smooth, brown wrapper with no soft spots. Rich prelight aroma. Easy light with a firm draw through the first 1 inch, but eased a little after warming. Started with mild spice and cedar. As the fattest part burned in the first third, these flavors were joined with the taste of sweet leather. In the last half, the cedar note became more prominent, which was reminiscent of the VRI and VRII, but not as strong. This remarkably slow-burning smoke lasted almost an hour (surprisingly) and was very tasty. Lots of white smoke and a firm, solid white ash that only held its composure almost the whole way down. This mild-to-medium bodied smoke is a real treat - bought 15 more.
