"Good First Half."
I really enjoyed the first half of this cigar. It started very spicy with sort of a woody base (at least to my relatively new pallette). About half way through however it just died. Turned very bland and uninteresting. I found myself checking my watch and thinking about what else I could be doing. A little overpriced also, which is generally how I feel about this brand.

"nice cigar"
I got this cigar in a free sampler about two years ago.appearance-nice dark brown color.nice feel with no soft spots.and i like the band.construction-it had a firm draw which made it hard to get alot of smoke.that was the down side. the up side was the cigar burned even and had a well done cap.flavor-pretty uneventful until the half way point when i picked up some peppery flavors.at that point it picked up some nice complexities.value-well free is definetly a nice value.as for what the average price people are paying id say its worth it.overall-nice decent above average cigar.nothing to rave about though.

"Classy"
A handsome and well-made stick. The dark blond wrapper is smooth and the cap is carefully applied. A few veins from the binder are outlined throughout the wrapper, but they aren’t distracting. The roll is rock solid. It opens up with a little pepper and a sweet aroma. The smoke texture is full and creamy smooth. After about an inch the base flavor is revealed as cedar, while gentle spice pours from the wrapper. By the mid point there are still some peppery overtones on the tongue, but they are fairly muted and blend well with the woody aspect of the smoke. The burn is straight and the draw is firm. Loosen up the draw just a wee bit and I’d call this perfect construction. A really nice medium-bodied cigar, clean tasting and sophisticated. It’s a great example of a cigar that is complex in terms of flavor, but not complicated.

"Nothing to shout about"
Pretty average all around. Flavor just barely keep my interest with just a bit of spiceyness. I found this was more towards the medium end but still mild. The price is too high. Should be in the $4 range.

"LOVE IT!!!"
CREAM CENTRAL! Impressively well balanced in flavour. Always has burned well (easy draw) for me and is a true joy to devote all your attention to. Hmmm... Seems I'm payin too much though.

"Good mild to medium cigar, a bit expensive"
For someone new to cigars, or for someone who enjoys the milder side of medium bodied cigars, this is a good choice. Starts off a little spicy with earthy flavors moving in as you go, staying smooth the whole way through. Burns evenly. If you prefer something that packs more of a punch or is a little more complex/exciting, however, you should look elsewhere.

"A bit boring"
That's about the jist of it. Great construction, burn and ash on the one I had, just not a lot flavor. Hey, it's a R&J so I guess I wasn't expecting too much from it even though it's supposed to have more oomph than the others in the lineup. It didn't even hold up to my cup 'o jo from Starbucks. For mild smokers who like consistency, this is a good smoke. For the rest of us, move on.

"Nice cigar"
A blend my wife enjoyed more than I did. Medium to full bodied smoke with good burn and draw. Nice balance of spice and flavor with a poo poo smell which I like alot. Plenty of smoke and I'm sure wifey will want more.

"best ryj"
this was a great cigar, the appearance and construction were both great, burned perfectly with a white ash. the flavor had much more depth than other ryjs. i think the best part for me was the aroma its a great smelling cigar once it gets going. the filler i suspect may be the same as the monte platinum, which if it is thats not a bad idea.

"Very good, but a bit pricey"
Excellent appearance and decent construction, with some mild burning irregularities and one slightly bitter section somewhere in the middle (fortunately for only one or two puffs). The first inch was really nice, with a spicy lipfeel and fighting cocoa and toasty flavors. After that it settled down to a consistently nice cocoa/earthy tone but with little extra dimensions. Overall a medium body and a high quality cigar. That said, I find more enjoyment from a Padron 2000 Maduro or Hoyo Dark Knight, both of which are quite a bit cheaper.

"Tough to find but worth the search"
This is a great cigar. Great looking cigar with an even burn, enough complex and a fine old time cigar aroma. It took me many web sites and several stores before I found these puppies in North Myrtle Beach. This one didn't disappoint.

"Good flavor, burn is questionable."
The out side of the cigar smells like cowflop. A good sign IMHO. The wrapper is a medium brown & somewhat leathery looking, with pretty veins. The 1st half inch of this cigar is a bit rough, but it smooths out. There are some really nice tones here, with a bakery spice quality, some nice highs in the sinus & a very nice pungent barnyard aspect. The burn is a bit uneven & it hampers the draw a little. Overall, a very nice medium to full bodied cigar.
