"Not bad, but..."
Really not a bad cigar, just not a great one either. The construction is decent with a reasonable burn and the flavor is nice enough, just not enough of it.

"I want to love this cigar but i cant!!!!"
I have read many reviews and had many friends sing its praise, but i cant seem to get on board. The construction is nice tight and the wrapper flawless but the flavor is non discript and i have to work to smoke one more than half way. I would reccomend a st luis rey toro for a few bucks less and a lot more flavor

"Pleasantly surpised"
I have not had much luck with r&j's, so I was a bit skeptical of this cigar. I am glad I was talked into it because it turned out to be one of the best cigars I have ever had. Burn, smoke, flavor (buttery) were all top notch. Also, this cigar truly boomed out big clouds of smoke....huge plus for me

"A decent Maduro"
I found this stick on sale at the local store and I had to see if there where any good and also one of my poker pals get these all the time. I found the cigar having a nice dark binder with some veins and very well constructed. Start's off nicely with a strong yet smooth start and about the end it's get a bit harsh. Burns steady thru the whole thing with no relights with a gray to dark gray ash. I had 2 of these so far and there worth getting if there on sale or if you want to mix it up a bit. I would recommended to this to people who like a decent Maduro cigar.

"Nice, but very average"
I like trying alot of different things and was very excited to be offered this at a friends house. The appearance, initial light, burn were all good, but... it just lacked character. Left me wanting for more.

"Stinkily Good"
This is an unusual cigar. The barnyard factors high in its flavor profile, along with a sweet char typical of maduros. It’s medium in body, certainly not the powerhouse I was expecting. This is good — despite the imposing appearance of this stick the interesting flavors are fairly subtle. There’s an earthy richness which proves my initial pre-light impression correct. It’s a smelly smoke, with an excremental element that might turn some people off. I can see this being a “love it or hate it” cigar. Myself, I just found it an interesting experience.

"Coming Around"
Not a maduro fan, but I liked this one. Started slow but got MUCH better in the middle, little harsh at the end. Good construction, good draw, nice ash. Little bit of burn problem but easily corrected.

"Very Good, User-friendly maduro"
These are great. Can't say they are over-strong but they do have body, very congenial taste and produce plenty of smoke with a nice burn. Maduro "newbies" could probably start here and not move on for years. Try 'em!

"Classic name..."
pretty good cigar. Got this one in a sampler, I would have never paid 6 bucks for it. Take the band off and you have a slightly above average maduro. Begins a little harsh like a Partagas Black then smooths out similar to a smoother Onyx Reserve. OK smoke but don't pay over $3.00.

"Pretty foul, really"
Where to start? First, the draw. Tighter than insert your own metaphor here. Produced very little smoke, and did not get better as it burned. The flavor was also notsohotso. It has some notes of raisins and spice, but these were overwhelmed by some unpleasant visitors. Primarily, this was the flavor of fake butter found in your less reputable brands of microwave popcorn. The second sweet, off flavor took me longer to place. Finally I did, by looking back to 6th grade, and my first experience in marching band. Columbus day parade. We were slotted in behind some equine participants in the festivities. Yeech.

"and I thought I knew what a full strength was"
Just a note: have a seat belt handy when you test ride the
Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro. Cow-a-frickin-bunga! Full strength is a definite understatement. Even after a good meal, I gotta take this one SLOW. But don't let my whimperings mislead ya, this puppy is as smooth as a rocket ship can be. Great, even burn, oily wrapper, smooth construction, and more horsepower than a Chrysler 300C Hemi. I mean, some people could have religious ceremonies with this jewel. S'cuse me, I gotta try and stand up by myself.

"Couldn't taste em"
To my great disappointment, I bought two of these things and both of them were so hard to draw that I gave up on them after about 10 minutes each. A supreme waste of $13.00. I hope maybe it was just a bad box in peddlar's wet room...Will have to try again and re-review.

"Worth Repeating"
Attractive cigar with slightly irregular burn quality. Deep cedary pre-light aroma and semi-sweet citrusy notes during smoking complimented by deep mocha base. A bit more 'dor time may have improved burn.

"A little dissapointing"
Great looking maduro, not as dark as some others though. Really tight draw but loose construction. Started out nice and chocolatey but turned sour and really spongy. Uneven burn but a nice ash. Only had 1 so this could be the one poor one out of the bunch. I won't try again since I didn't care for the flavor profile.
