"surprised"
I've seen a lot of bad reviews for this cigar, and many good reviews for the same stick. I believe the difference is in the aging/proper humidifying.
The one I had the pleasure to smoke was surrounded by cedar and kept in a glass tube, original seal unbroken until smoke time.
Now this is coming from a newb who's only had a chance to sample a couple ronseca and a. fuente.
The first few puffs were much nicer than my previous cigars, some costing eight bucks a stick. The taste was pleasant and not overpowering. Aftertaste was fresh with no bitterness or numbing effect. Taste and body intensified, as expected, but then went mellow near the middle. Strengthened again near the end. I don't usually smoke past the band, but with this I was inclined to do so. Not disappointed.
The burn was consistent, needing little rotation. Smoke was reasonably thick, and ash broke about every quarter.
I did have a problem with draw, was constantly massaging, right down to the end. Perhaps some one had a bad day?
Overall a great smoke, will definitely enjoy again.

"Bland and a bit Boring"
It was a decent cigar, not bad, but not really good. Burned well, but was harsh due to it burning so hot. Would not go out of my way to try again.

"The best I ever had"
I have smoked a lot of stogies in my time and this by far is the best I ever had, hands DOWN! I picked one up from Earl, my good buddy, that got a box and I must say...if it was not illegal I would sneak in his house and take them.

"Trading on the name"
This is clearly a placeholder for when the embargo ends and the RyJ name can mean something in the US. Devoid of substantive flavor, this is a beautifully constructed mockery of a cigar. Plain, grassy taste.

"Powerful Tasty Treat"
Perhaps these R+J Reals need some humidor time, because I am following several reviews stating they lack flavor. I have had these for a couple of years, and the cigar I just smoked was just screaming with a bounty of flavors. A complex mix of tangy fruit, strong coffee and a powerful tobacco taste. Well rolled, very good draw and even burn. Full body, not recommended for a beginner. Very much like a Cuban, certainly worth a try. The fatter ring sizes are a bit less powerful.

"1/2 of a cigar"
Pros: Perfect burn, draw and ash.
Cons: Hot and no flavor, literally. It started out with hints of sweetness which soon disappeared to straight tobacco flavor which was on the harsh side. If it wasn't for the nic buzz I was getting, I would have tossed it.
Overall, I'd say not worth trying. Period.

"Verona's Court Better"
This is a less than decent cigar, I've had a box for awhile. But I bought a box of Padrons because I needed a better everday smoke. The Verona's Courts are killer though, wonder why there is such a difference. I'll be getting Verona's Courts only in this RJ line from now on.

"Sorry No Cigar"
Tried these a couple of times, just not my smoke. Boring then gets hot at the end. Looks pretty, burns great.

"Middle of the road smoke"
This was a mild to medium body smoke with some flaws. It had some fun, spicy, peppery flavors through the first half, then turned bitter. Never burned evenly and got pretty soft. Not bad, but not great, just average. Pretty good price.

"Nice Job, Great flavor"
Smoked this one walkin down the beautiful beaches of Florida. An excellent taste that is hard to describe I got a pepper and wood taste out of it but some may have tasted something different. Never the less the burn was even and so was the taste throughout the entire cigar. Other than the Punch Champion this is the best 5.00 cigar I've had.

"excellent flavor"
just finished this on a drizzly evening in a patch of dry under an oak tree in my back yard. This stick burned well despite a fitful breeze. Cap cut well; no unraveling. A bit soft. The highlight here is the outstanding flavor - much different than the maddies I've been smoking, and lots of it. A beautiful evening, a relaxing cigar . . . very nice.

"Another good cigar from the Reserva Real line"
A smooth, good-looking cigar with a nice cap. The burn is mostly straight and the draw outstanding, producing lots of sweet smoke. Has spicy and nutty flavors that are chewy and have a nice texture. Gets creamier as you go along. It gets a bit soft and mushy at the end, but i still smoked it down to an inch since it tasted so good. I recently tried the tubed version of this corona (verona's court) and it performed better, but i liked the taste of this one more (it might be just the same cigar and the differences are all in my head, but anyways.....). Costs less too. All the cigars in this line that i've tried are good, and this one is no exception.

"Very Good"
Extremely enjoyable taste. Loved it. I can't really describe it but it was smooth, tasty, relaxing. Best burned cigar I've had. I rate this slightly below the RyJ numero dos tubo in my list of favorites, simply because I like the numero dos tubo's taste better. But the value is outstanding. Glad I tried it. I will certainly buy a box or two.

"Not too bad"
Disclaimer: I am a die-hard Toraño fan. I consider them the best cigars for value and taste...with that said...
This cigar was not bad at all. It has a very pleasant Oak wood taste to it. Nice aftertaste.. Went extremely well with cherry coke. Worthy of the #3 ranking (currently ranked)... Negative... but I'd say somewhere around #10 is more appropriate..

"Bliss"
This cigar first caught my attention when I was tired of constantly smoking the Robustos so I tried the Corona. An amazing smoke from beginning to end. Solid construction and appeal. I would say in the beginning it has a supple oak-like taste that blends in so well to the well awaited center which is more creamy and smooth. This baby burnt even, didn't run hot and had me in heaven the whole way through. When there was the need for more stronger pulls, thats when it told me it wanted to die gracefully. A superb smoke!

"R&J reserva real"
A most enjoyable smoke. Has a wonderful mild flavor (not at all boring though) with just a hint of spice. One of the, if not the most well constructed cigars i've ever smoked. I was amazed at the cigars lack of after taste; it didn't leave me with the usual "i just spent an hour smoking a cigar" taste in my mouth. My one complaint is that the flavor; as great as it was, seemed to only last approx. half way through the cigar then quickly became less enchanting, but not unsmokable. A fine cigar.

"Excellent Cigar"
I would humidify this cigar at 70%, mine was at 66%. When puffed hard it burned a little harsh, but when puffed lightly the cigar turned silky smooth. I cut like butter and is a medium body smoke. It was delightful all aroundwith many dimensions.

"Worthy of its cuban heritage"
Beautiful Cigar. Mild to Medium with a Creamy Cedar flavor. Not as smooth as the churchhill in this line but. The best non-cuban R&J in a long time

"First Review!"
Let me just say I am excited to be the first reviewer for this size of cigar. This cigar was wonderful. It burned even, was very delightful to look at, had an excellent draw and was very mild. While smoking a woodsy flavor developed without any heat. This was perfect for my tastes but would not fit someone who likes the bold power cigar.
