"Disappointment"
A disappointment. The cigar looked great until it was lit, after which it began to crack in several locations as the flame progressed. The taste was actually very bland as well, with not a lot of character. Honestly, I expected better. I actually like the 1875's better.

"Bland, boring"
Got a sampler pack of 5 of these a few months ago. The smoke was bland, and bitter. No true flavor or enjoyment noticed. I was not impressed. Maybe it was just a bad batch and they are better in the box. But I will not be purchasing anytime soon.

"Nice change of pace"
I usually smoke maduros and stronger cigars but this was a nice change of pace. A nice looking torpedo, a few spots, prevent it from being a 10. The first few inches were smooth with a woody taste with a bit of sweetness. The draw and burn were perfect. After the first ash it started to burn uneven and needed a few touchups. It gained some nuttiness but eventually turned harsh with 2 inches left. Received this from a CS member, but have seen these for around $6.00, so I would be more than willing to pay that when I'm wanting a milder cigar.

"Big Fan"
Being new to the cigar world, i have trouble stomaching some of the stronger cigars. I have since matured in taste but the smooth draw, and semi - mild smoke make this R&J among my favorites.

"Another boring smoke"
Once again RyJ has bored me to tears! Why is there cigars so boring and bland tasting. Some wood and a touch of spice and that's it. I just don't care for lightly flavored cigars, and these are just that. I don't mind light bodied smoke as long as they have abundant flavor. But RyJ's just dont have it, so I'll let you all have them. They do have very good construction though.

"mild"
Aged 1 year. Thick cigar that looked tightly packed and had some heft to it. Subtle hints of mild spice is about all the flavor this thing packed. Body was definitely square in the mild spectrum. Might be OK for a morning cigar if you have a little time in the morning. Burn and draw were fine.

"Sweet and mild"
My first RYJ. This cigar was very pleasing to the eyes. Awesome wrapper, with nearly no veins. The draw on this cigar had to be the best I ever experienced. It produced a ton of very sweet smelling, light colored smoke, which seemed to condense in your mouth. I couldn't believe how sweet the aroma this cigar produced. I had to have mention it to a friend 4-5 times that night. The flavor was very mellow. Almost too mellow for me. I tend to stay more towards the medium-full side. It was also very sweet tasting as well. I don't know how they get it to be so sweet. This cigar was nice to smoke, and I could see puffing away on one all day. Would make a very nice gulf coarse cigar.

"Nice smoke in all aspects"
This shaped cigar is very well-made and attractive with a smooth light-brown wrapper that has a nice sheen. It performs beautifully with a consistent burn, good draw, solid ash, and lots of aromatic smoke. A spicy start is later balanced by woody, nutty, and creamy flavors. Strength dissipates a bit towards the end as it becomes more herbal. A very nice hour-long smoke.

"a better dominican than most"
a little tight on the draw at first then loosens up....still my favorite dominican cigar next to the montecristo white torpedo...the lack of supply for the entire resrv. real line at my local dealer in my area is is really holding it back

"Great Smoke"
This cigar is great from start to finish it is mild to medium bodied with an excellent flavor and construction. Consistency is the hallmark of this cigar - should be considered a best buy for those that enjoy a mild to medium body cigar with excellent flavor and a draw that cannot be beat.

A very good-looking cigar, with a clean, smooth wrapper with few veins. Construction and burn were good and cigar had a medium nutty flavor. Good Cigar just not a Great one.

"thing of beauty"
This is one of the best looking cigars I've seen! The wrapper is beautiful and it feels great in the hand. Upon lighting the draw was tight so the full flavor never really came through. What I dd get was a flavor somewhat milder than a regular RyJ. Will have to try another.

"well done"
This is a beautiful looking stick. The prelight aroma is mild and toasty. It smokes consistently mild with creamy white smoke that is medium bodied, and definite roasted nut characteristics. The only dislike for me was what makes it good to some, and that was there was no change from beginning to end, the flavors remained the same. I liked this smoke but would rather it be a little more complex.
