"OVER rated"
Did not like this at all. It burned very fast with TONS of smoke. Flavors were ashy and leathery with a long finish on the bitter and harsh side. I stored this cigar for almost a year at perfect levels so it's not my fault.

"Great For the First Inch"
I tried this cigar based on the ratings on this site. When I first lit it up, it had some of the best flavor of any cigar I ever tried. As I got through the first inch or inch and a half it really lost the great flavor and turned into a more ashy flavor. That being said, I will try another one just to make sure it wasn't this particular cigar because it was great for about 15 minutes

"good smoke"
good smoke with a nice flavor, but i'm not crazy about nicaraguan gars when they get down to the last third, the flavor gets really bitter but all in all tatuaje has done well with this robusto.

"Like It"
I like this cigar alot, my first one today, and I have to say dispite what the other reviews have said I think this cigar is a little stronger than the starndard brown label, more spice , the smoke smells like pancake batter(which sounds funny but is great) and it burns your nose. After about an inch of smoking it does calm down a bit to a nice nutty smothness that I enjoy. I would like to rate this cigar higher but as many tatuajes are known for it doesnt have the best burn , but saying this another part of the construction has a pretty free draw which is great if you like a ton of wafting spicy pancake smoke. Highly Recommended.

"A great Tat"
A great cigar. My favorite Tatuaje next to the Verocu No. 2 of what I've tried. Needed a few touch ups the toward the end, but all in all an excellent cigar. Major complaint I have is I had a hell of a time getting that black J21 band off to finish the smoke.

"Tat smooth edition"
This cigar packs a lot of flavor in a small form. Hs that pepin kick but alot more creamy than its brothers in this line pretty impressed.

"I could smoke this all day"
Cigar looks awesome and has a great smell. Little spice with earth and leather taste all the way past the band. Had to touch it up once but that was it. Nice burn and strong ash. I do wish that there was more to enjoy.

"Nirvana!"
I must admit I was skeptical about this cigar. Like so many of us seem to do, we look and buy countless stogies to see if that next one will be exactly what we are looking for. All too often we end up disappointed and keep going back to blow some more coin on another one that is good in some respects but has some drawback to it or will become tiring quickly.
This cigar is perfect for me in every way (OK. So the price is the drawback here.) This is NOT your typical Tatuaje! It's almost like the flavors were "dusted" onto the cigar. EVERYTHING here is in perfect harmony!
It starts off with a dose of white pepper and in 1/2 inch begins the change. Everything here is, in my opinion, much less "in your face" than the other Tats. The flavor turns to a dry earth with wood flavor. The spice begins. Then a wonderful honey sweetness stays in the background until the final 2 inches. Spice really raises its head the last 2 inches and there is just a bit of chocolate in the background. What is so different about this cigar to me is that the pallet is left fresh with very little aftertaste the entire cigar! This is not the typical aftertaste of the rest of the Tatuaje line. It is very clean.
This is a is VERY complex smoke but at the same time is medium bodied to me and does taste very Cubanesque. It tastes well aged out of the box (coded Dec. '07). There is NO harshness whatsoever. I will admit that the box I received was a bit moist and I had to keep relighting at first but 68% humidity has taken care of the problem.
If you want a very full bodied smoke this will be a bit of a let down. Other than that, 'Please sir, may I have more?'

"impressive performance"
so enjoyable. Looks great, burnt fairly well - just a few touchups needed. Savored every last flavor. Strong spice and chocolate. One of the rare occasions where you do get what you pay for.

"You sure this isn't a Cuban?"
By the shear strenght and construction, you would swear it was a Cuban. If it wasn't fo the wrapper and the fact I can purchase these in my local cigar shop, I would say it is. Full bodied cigar with lots of power. The draw and burn was absolutely perfect. The spicy/pepper flavors complimented the wood and dry/earthy tones throughout the cigar. A pure pleasure to smoke. Just wish they were more in my price range to purchase a box... guess having a single or two is good too!!

"great"
Spicy and peppery but pleasantly sweet at the same time. This seems to be a quality that all or most of the Pepin made line possesses. Excellent draw and burn. Not a hint of harshness toward the end, in fact; it got more full bodied and tastier. Remarkable smoke.

"Excellence"
Beautiful well made cigar, perfect draw and burn. Plenty of peppery spice to go around with some nutty woody tastes going on. I too would like to see the price go down on the Tats because they are among my favorites. But they are great cigars.

"Is this a Cuban?"
Wow. What power. Beautiful construction and roll with the triple cap. The was can tell you a lot about the construction and it held together splendid. The flavor possessed so much power. Honestly this has as much power as many cuban robustos. Earthy tones with some peppery hints. A little steep in price but at least they are legal to purchase in the states.

"GREAT SMOKE!"
I am a huge fan of the Tatuaje brand and various lines. This gem was another reminder of what a cigar should be. Pre-light aroma was nice, wrapper was somewhat thicker than the other Tat. lines and a little more rigid in construction. Burn was perfect and even throughout. Draw was perfect, and this guy produces some nice dense rich smoke. I must warn the light hearted or weak stomached this is a serious smoke with robust flavors. (aka full-bodied) I even had a little buzz going. There was the charry woodsy taste which grew into a nice spice. Not overpowering to the palate and certainly did not make me green, but it is full of flavor. Smoked down to the nub and enjoyed every minute, although it could have lasted a little bit longer, I was able to get a solid 30+ mintues out of it. It probably went a little faster than normal since I kept drawing from it to drain out more of that lovely flavor and smokey aroma. Definitely worth the try, I do prefer the Havanas VI a tad more, but this guy is nice for a change. Enjoy!

"Awesome"
I smoked one of these last night. It paired fantastically with a Taylor Fladgate Porto. The construction is superb, and draw and burn perfect, and the taste is the best I've experienced in some time, Cuban or non-Cuban. A tad pricey, is all...

"Rico"
A bold robusto. Easy draw. An even burn. Dark wrapper that has an almost espresso bean smell to it. Great flavors once lit. Earthy, very earthy. Lots of peppery spice on the nose. Powerful, but not overbearing. You need a strong beverage to accompany this stick. Don Pepin has done it again.

"Excellent cigar"
I echo the Prof's sentiments, and excellent cigar with exceptional burn and draw. Love the spicyness of this cigar and its my preferred size as well. One of my favorite nc's.

"Very nice"
I smoked a pair of these last weekend. As expected, the construction was superb. The taste was excellent ... I thought much better than the regios that I smoked last week. Well worth the difference in price. These cigars are in stiff competition in the price range, but if you want an excellent NC robusto, look no further.

"Disappointing"
I had very high hopes for this cigar after trying the Especiales, but was severely let down. The construction was great, but the flavor was absolutely dull. The first few puffs had some life to them, but then it turned to very smooth cedar with a mild grassiness to it. It was never unpleasant, just far from what I expected - especially after such a good experience with the Lancero and all the high ratings in CA.
