It's rare when we see complete agreement on a cigar we review, but it sure makes writing the review summary a lot easier.  We were hoping that was the case as the first six reviews strolled into T25C, but unfortunately, review no. 7 spoiled the show.  Nobody is going to complain about satisfying 6 out of every 7 cigar smokers, so with a round of applause, we introduce our staff review of the Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Torpedo

According to the Torano website, "This cigar commemorates the Exodus of expert Cuban cigar families and their impact on the cigar industry after the nationalization of all tobacco farms and cigar factories by the Cuban government in 1959. The Toraños were one of those families."

You can't help but notice the deep rich beauty of the Honduran wrapper that graces this torpedo.  Couple the gorgeous wrapper with a near perfect box press, and you have the closest thing your going to see to a certain other famous box pressed line of cigars.

The Exodus Torpedo surprised a few people with its strength.  It's no secret this is a stronger cigar, but if your not careful, it can sneak up and kick you in the rear.  The strength was universal.

The construction and flavor of the 1959 Torpedo scored great remarks:

"This is the closest thing to a perfect box press I have seen.  A great gray ash seems to think it is being judged for consistency by the Olympic gymnastics judges.

"I'll tell you this much, if this i9sn;t a Padron, whoever makes it should be damn satisfied, as it is as close as it gets."

The lone dissenter from this cigar love fest mentioned a hot cigar that burned uneven, and left a 24 hour aftertaste.  It can happen to the best of cigars, not sure what might have caused it in this sample.

This is a go to cigar.  We at Top 25 Cigar believe that the Toraños have hit upon a cigar recipe that would make Betty Crocker proud.  Definitely worth a shot.
