If you look up the word schizophrenic in the dictionary, it will have a group picture of the five folks that reviewed this cigar for us. Again, Top25Cigar has been able to randomly identify the 5 people who are able to give us opinions that perfectly contradict each other! Take that one step further, and we have located 4 people with vigorous opinions, of course 2 from each end of the spectrum, and one person who just doesn't care, or suffers from "Extreme Cigar Shyness (ECS)." Don't believe us do you, here are a couple examples: "One of the worst cigars I've ever smoked. The taste was putrid, like dried spoiled fruit. I would give up cigars if this was all I could smoke" "If you look up the word cigar in the dictionary you should see a picture of this one. Flawless!" The Cifuentes Rothschild is your fairly typical Connecticut Shade robusto. It looks like a mild cigar, and doesn't do anything do scare you away from giving it a try. We were drawn to trying out the Cifuentes, as it is one of the last common cigars still made in Jamaica. For what it's worth, general positive comments all revolved around the wrapper, ash, and aroma. The general consensus on flavor (except for the little quote above) was ordinary, and of good to average quality. It was twice mentioned that this would be a good "guest" cigar for those that are not regular cigar smokers, or those that prefer a milder, less imposing cigar. Realistically, the Cifuentes Rothschild probably sits in the middle of the range identified by our rabid band of reviewers. In fact, maybe we shouldn't be to quick to rip on our reviewer who suffered from ECS, his lack of comment may have been the closest thing to an accurate description of this cigar! Vital Statistics: Shape = Robusto Length=4 3/4" RG=49 Wrapper = Connecticut Filler = D.R. Binder = D.R. Estimated Cost = $5.00
