Now on to the new La Aurora 1903 Preferidos. If you've been sniffing around the industry, you have probably heard quite a bit about this little cigar. I humbly acknowledge another cool looking figurado. The Preferidos is another cool shaped figurado, but from a value perspective, this thing is going to die quicker than the three kids in The Blair Witch Project. I ran across them in a local tobacco store, and paid $12 a piece for this little 3 inch monster. Nice oily wrapper, great looking, and pretty darn average to smoke. The whole time I smoked it I couldn't help but think that I could have bought 2 Hemingway Short Story's for the same price. I'm usually in favor of trying every new cigar a couple of times, but in this case, I'd say save your money. The flavor was nothing spectacular, the burn was average, and the draw was a touch tight. I was hoping for so much more out of this cigar, it hurts to not recommend it. It really hurts knowing that I won't be getting any samples out of them once they read this review! Vital Statistics: Figurado - Length = 4 RG = 50 Wrapper = Cameroon Filler: Dominican piloto cubano & olor, Cameroon Binder =Dominican piloto cubano Estimated Cost = $6.00
