There'd be people dancing in the streets all across the globe. Yes, TOP25CIGAR would break open the secret that the Leon Jimenes No. 1 was one of the best cigars on the planet. I thought this because I had had some good ones...guess that's why we have five reviewers, because they didn't necessarily agree with me. So what do we say? We had two reviewers give the LJ No. 1 "A's", a couple give them low "C's", and one consider it an average cigar. You be the judge, but we'll let you in on some of the comments. First and foremost nobody really disagreed that this is a good looking cigar. As with most No. 1's, it's huge. The wrapper is pure and claro, and going to make you think mild right away. The band is also about one of the richest shades of red one has ever seen. It lights and smokes pretty well, nothing you can write home about, but surely not uneven. Looks like the construction is better than average, and more importantly consistent from cigar to cigar. We've seen other web sites, and even some retailers advertise the Leon Jimenes as "full bodied". Well, we're the first to admit that T25C is not a bunch of brain surgeons, but we don't see it. In fact, even our guest reviewer this month saw this puppy as mild. I guess maybe we're not completely "taste challenged". In fact the negative reviews came from the cigar being classified as a pacifist! Not sure what people were expecting, but by the likes of the responses we got, if this cigar didn't raise your bench press by 50 pounds it wasn't worth smoking. I write the reviews (sung to the tune of Barry Manilows "I Write the Songs"), and I'm biased towards this cigar. I admit it, so I asked for the overall groups suggestion as to if this cigar is worth a try. The suggestion from the "panel" is that it's worth giving it a whirl, especially at some of the recent prices. Set your expectations correctly and you will be in for a pleasant surprise. Expect a tongue numbing mystical experience, and your better off trying some of those mushrooms in your back yard. You've been warned.
