I probably need to dispel the rumors before I go any farther. We are not, and never have been related to, or adopted by the Padron family. Now that's not saying we would turn it down if offered. If it gave us access to the Padron family's line of cigars, it may be worth it. Here's another hell of a cigar from Padron. The Padron 2000 accomplished success in a different way than their much talked about Anniversario line. The 2000 is a combination of three rare characteristics in a cigar, quality, value, and availability. The Padron 2000 has them all. Each reviewer received 2 Padron 2000's. The reviews we received ranged from "I have nothing bad to say about this cigar" to a much more wordy version, that basically tried to nominate the Padron 2000 for the next presidential election. Although a bit far fetched, after watching some of the candidates debates, I wonder if a cigar may not fare better just by keeping quiet. A beautiful white ash graces the tip of this cigar when you light it. As the ash grows, it does so uniformly, showing that great care was taken in the rolling of this baby. The flavor was talked about at length. Consistency throughout the cigar, lack of any aftertaste, and the immediate desire to light their next cigar were the predominant comments. The only reaction that could even be viewed as semi-negative, were a couple of comments that mentioned a lack of personality. You always have to be careful with "personality" comments. It seems that the milder cigars always bring out personality issues with folks that desire a more full bodied smoke. Although in the case of the Padron 2000, I'm not sure it should be classified as a "milder" cigar. Anyway, we'll let you decide. A rarity in a good smoke, is that you can find them! Padron 2000's are everywhere, there on the internet, in your local tobacconists shelf, everywhere you look, they'll be waiting. Top25Cigar is going to start labeling affordable cigars that receive good reviews in our "Best Value" class. This is a fantastic choice for starting that category. If you have never tried this cigar, it's worth it. Buy a couple, and I'll bet there's a good chance you'll be back looking for the box.
