STRADIVARIUS de los MAESTROS
General Cigar introduces Stradivarius Cigars.

Stradivarius violins have enthralled the finely-tuned ears of classic music aficionados for nearly three centuries. Precise design, expert craftsmanship and exquisite materials make these violins one of the most melodic instruments in the world. These characteristics are reflected in the hallmarks of General Cigar's most recent masterpiece: Stradivarius® cigars. Possessing a symphony of harmonious tastes, Stradivarius cigars are presented with a reserve of Connecticut Shade wrapper that has been cloistered for nearly 15 years. The extraordinary wrapper has been married to the crème of the crop of Dominican Havana seed binder which has been aged in tercios for two years. Masterfully-blended Dominican, Nicaraguan and Mexican leaf conjugate to create a taste that resonates with an ethereal depth and complexity. Cigar Master Daniel Núñez explained, "In creating Stradivarius, I worked with a team of tobacco virtuosos. From our top agronomists, who planted and nurtured the seedlings, to our most experienced tobacco experts that patiently oversaw aging and blending of the leaves, to the master rollers who handcrafted the cigars with artful movements, Stradivarius was a labor of love for us all. Stradivarius is, without question, the culmination of a cigar master's art." Each Stradivarius cigar will be individually presented in a wooden coffin, which is closed with a protective wax seal and adorned with ribbon. The collection's three frontmarks will be available for purchase as individual cigars, or in humidor-quality boxes which house ten cigars each. Stradivarius cigars will debut at select tabacaleras in the U.S. in time for the 2007 holiday season and will be available in a quantity that is commensurate with their rarity. Each of the three Stradivarius frontmarks: Robusto Major (5 ½" x 50); Lonsdale (6 ¾" x 43); Churchill (7 ½ x 49) has been developed to maximize the flavor of the tobaccos. Indulgence has its price: An ultra-premium cigar of this pedigree comes at an expense that is not insignificant. Robusto Major cigars will be available for a suggested retail price of $32.00 per cigar, or $320.00 for a box containing ten of the ultra-premium cigars. The Lonsdale frontmark will sell for $30.00 per cigar, or $300.00 for a box of ten cigars. Stradivarius Churchill cigars will be available for a price of $32.00 per cigar or $320 for a box of ten cigars.
