Introduced in 2002 to celebrate José Orlando Padrón’s 75th birthday (born in 1926), the Serie 1926 represents the ultra-premium expression of the Padrón family’s blending philosophy.
All cigars in the 1926 line are made from 100% Nicaraguan tobacco, grown and aged extensively before rolling. The tobacco is primarily sourced from Padrón-owned farms in Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa — regions known for producing rich, complex leaf with depth and natural sweetness. The cigars are aged for a minimum of five years before release.
The line is box-pressed and offered in both Natural and Maduro wrappers. Flavor profiles are typically full-bodied and intensely balanced, delivering notes of dark cocoa, espresso, roasted nuts, leather, earth, black pepper, and subtle sweetness. The draw is famously consistent, and construction is among the most reliable in the industry.
The Serie 1926 is often cited as a reference standard for premium Nicaraguan cigars — powerful yet refined, bold without harshness.
