"Another A Series Beauty"
Man, I just love this line of cigars. Beautiful dark brown, almost black wrapper with a bit of oily sheen. Burn is impeccable throughout the entire smoke with a tenacious white ash. Produces huge plumes of smoke with a nice easy draw. Taste profile is medium and very smooth. Creamy notes of dark chocolate, French roast coffee beans, vanilla, nuts and cedar abound. For such an easy draw stays cool and smooth tasting right down to the nub. There may be better maduros out there of course, but for the price these are tough to beat!

"Beautiful smoke, killer value"
I had seen many positive reviews of these cigars. I finally decided to try a few. Wow. I ordered 10 and I will be ordering more. This stick is gorgeous. A really nice maduro wrapper is the first thing to notice. The pre-light aroma is really nice. Some sweetness in the taste along with some spice. I can't really say much that has not been said. If you have not tried this line of cigars you are really missing out on a *superb* value.

"Very good!"
Very tasty. Wrapper is very dark underneath all the cedar and giant band. Pre-light flavor was sweet; draw a bit tighter than I like but still okay. Plenty of smoke, clean burn, medium body. Taste: sweet coffee, molasses. The wrapper split but this did not affect the burn or draw. Much better now after six months in the humi. I liked this better than the Padron 2000 maduro. Goes great with hot chocolate!

"Another good Series A"
But not quite up to the standards of the rest I've had. Taste not quite as fine and had some burn irregularities.

"very nice value"
This is my favorite size in this line, and I have liked all the sizes Ive tried in the "A" line. Hard to beat the price value on these. Fairly one dimensional but its a great chocolaty taste throughout for me. Hint of nut on the finish, leaves a nice aftertaste.

"Best cigar money can buy!"
If you are looking for a great cigar at a even better price, look no more. I bought a box of these Costa Rican Maduro wrapped cigars, and smoked them all at once, all in one day...well maybe not all in one day, but if felt like it.
Bottom line is you have to by these and try them. Let them age for about 3 months and you will have one of the best maduro's in the world.

"A pleasent surprise"
I got 15 of these along with a 10 pack of other 5 vegas cigars due to a great deal on a website. i was pleasantly surprised with the smoke. it has a rather effortless draw and burns nicely. It started a bit harsh, but about an inch in the true flavor comes out. It has a great flavor with a slight nutty taste. the only problem i encountered was that after a few minutes the flavor is overpowered with a very smokey taste. Overall i got a good smoke for my money although it is far from the best cigar i have ever had. If you want a decent smoke that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, than you should pick up a few of these

"consistently mediocre"
I guess I just don't "get it" with this brand. What am I missing here? After giving the Cinco a few months to mature, I still find it to be hopelessly average. Seeing one of these in the Top 25 astonishes me. Starts with an odd, almost minty flavor. A little coffee and maybe molasses creep in, but the short finish prevents it from getting a head of steam. Then the flavor gradually fades to charcoal in the second half. Don't get me wrong... I've had worse stogies at double this price. But I've also had better ones at half the price.

"Better with age...barely"
My initial young review was pretty unsatisfactory, fortunately a good bit of time to settle in the humidor resolved some of the problems. The overbearing dry grittiness pretty much went away and I was left with a mediocre maduro flavor that was merely decent but nothing special. I'd buy a Torano 1959 or CAO MX2 for $0.50 to $1 over this any day.

"Good value"
I'm simply not as big a fan of this smoke as many. That said, for CBid prices, they're a great value. I've smoked 3 from a 5er I got about a year ago, the latest with a year's age on it. These look great and are well constructed. The latest gave me near 3 inches of ash before falling, and it burns charcoal gray. The only construction issue is that it is probably too tightly rolled, and didn't give me as much smoke as I'd like. Good flavor, but not great. I still prefer the CAO MX2, even for the extra money. The Gurkha Doble Maduro sports a better flavor, but its construction woes lead me to put this cigar on par with it. If they can be had at $12 for a 5er, its a great value. I got mine for $9!

"meh"
Aged 6 months. Nice looking, medium bodied cigar with a dark wrapper. Tasted very young with leather.cedar for the first half and leather.cedar.burnt_match for the second half. Draw was fine, burn was off for a good 1/3 of the smoke. I might try this cigar again with a lot more age on it as it did show a little promise for this price point, but then again, maybe I won't.

"Good and bad"
A nice looking smoke with a very dark, almost oscuro wrapper. Very solid and rugged looking like it could withstand being bounced around in a tool box and still come out smoking fine!
The first half was a very rich fulfilling smoke with nice rich mocha flavor but around 2" in things took an abrupt turn for the worse, becoming very bitter and harsh. I thought I could smoke through it - I even tried burning through it with my torch lighter which did improve things somewhat but the cigar never regained a pleasant flavor. Having said that, at the price I paid, they still seem like good value even for half a smoke!

"well, it's no Padilla Obsidian..."
Decent first half, but like the "Anomaly" it turns charry, dry and ashy on the second half. Short finish. Hoping these improve after a lie down. For now, average except for the price.

"Not for Me"
A friend of mine gave me one of these as he called it, 'his everday smoke'. I guess he is still used to tasting his nasty cigarettes. This is an everyday smoke for me if I want it to be a bad day.

"Still a wonderful cigar."
I simply forgot about these cigars for nearly a year and a half. Last night's hour and a half slow burning "cinco-vegas-A" reminded me how wonderful these are. My only slight negative was a slightly uneven yet mostly self correcting burn. Other than that, this cigar had all the characteristics of a well, made cigar. It was packed well, rock hard, and drew fine. This mostly medium sometimes full bodied cigar was chocked full of wonderful smooth, cool, creamy spice and molasses type flavors with a hint of coffee, dark mocha and charcoal (charcoal sounds yucky but it isn't within these other flavors). This is a quality cigar that can be had on the cheap at c-bid for $2-3/stick. A must have cigar for any medium to full maduro lover. I'll enter $3 for PP.

"Good Value"
This cigar is a good value, especially when you find a deal on cbid. The only real downside I've found is that a few have had pretty tight draws.

"Did not like at all"
I was *not* impressed with this cigar one bit. To start with, removing the band tore an inch long strip of wrapper off. The cigar lit unevenly and continued to burn that way. To top things off it tasted vile -- and I don't mean it lacked flavor -- it tasted just plain disgusting. I threw it out before even smoking an inch. I don't know if I just got a 'bad one' or what... I'll give 5 Vegas another try, but not for a while.

I have been spending too much on cigars. This is a great roll with flavor to boot. Sweet spice with cocoa and a bit of dirt (c'mon everyone says EARTH). Just plain good, and a great value.

"pleasant surprise"
Have had the regular line and didnt care for it, the gold is good but too mellow for me, but this was dead on, perfect draw and burn, well constructed, slightly spicey at beginning and end, smooth and sweet throughout, medium-full bodied, long finish, was very good will my favorite beer-Lion Stout.

"artisan is worth an"
Got this cigar from cigars international who by the way have a real good price on these. The first inch of this cigar comes on fairly strong at first but after the first inch it smooths out and developes into a sweet silky flavor, the burn was razor sharp and the ash held on for 2 inches and would've held on longer but I flicked it to avoid getting it on my clothes ( it was also the whitest ash I've ever seen on a cigar) this is a new cigar to the 5 Vegas line and it's worth the price easily. the only cigars I've had that I've liked better were a Cuban Monte #2 and an Opus.

First 1/4 of the stick burned a little uneven and was almost overpowering but then it evened out and became real smooth. Lots of body and flavor but not enough to knock you on your but. Recommend

If you like the Partagas Black line, you'll probably like these. Slightly milder (medium-bodied) than the Blacks, but better constructed. Rich smoke, even burn, good flavor. The price is right, too.

"Little Black Beauty"
Had a gorgeous oily dark wrapper. Started out fulll flavored with bits of spice ,leather, slight coffee. Mellowed a bit to a cool creamy flow of leather and spice with a hint of dark coffee. The stick was hard yet had a wonderful draw producing gobs of smoke. Cigar burn was a bit uneven. This is one of the better cigars I have smoked in a while. These babies are getting hard to find. I had to accept a small humidor to get 15. Worth it. If you don't like fuller flavored cigars this is not for you. I loved this smoke.
