"Spice and nice"
I enjoyed the aroma before lighting up. Like other reviewers stated, it started off spicy but became creamy right away. The draw is easy, but not loose. Produces a lot of smoke and burns evenly down to the nub.

"Gary Cooper isn't alone..."
got these 8 mo ago at CI fest. been resting since. appearance good. lights evenly, much smoke. good draw, even burn. peppery start mellows out to medium but the flavor of the blend is lacking. nothing terrible, but a flinty backtaste that hasn't dissipated. perhaps just a bad example... will try another and report again.

"Nice Smoke"
Beautiful cigar, even oil over the wrapper and minimal visible veins. Prelight aroma was awesome, sweet with a bit of wood. Burned fairly evenly until about halfway through, but was easily corrected with a bit of micromanagement. Nice pepper at the start but mellowed out to a nice smooth and creamy medium bodied smoke. Great finish and had a little sweetness in the sinus. The people around me said it had a pleasant aroma also. Great smoke for the price.

"High Noon"
I'm out there all alone on this cigar, I feel like Gary Cooper in "High Noon". Just didn't have the same experience as most of the recent reviewers. I found the 5 Vegas Torpedo very average (or slightly above) in flavor, burn, and looks. I actually like the robusto of the same line much better. Maybe it needs more humidor time.

"A must have"
I have smoked atleast 15 of these in the past year, most with very little rest. The aroma is amazing, and the flavor is rich though one dimensional. Some of them had construction issues, but that's forgivable for the price. CI used to have specials on these, sadly that's no longer the case. If you can find these cheap, I recommend you give them a shot.

"My ultimate go to cigar"
I've ben impressed with this cigar for some time. I've smoked 3 boxes worth and have yet to have problems with consistency. The burn is always even, the ash is white and long. Very aromatic, medium in stregth, and utimately consistent from stick to stick. You know exactly what you're getting every time. Check out CI for fantstic deals on the topedo. $15 for a 5 pack. Enter code SP-5VA6054-5. You will not be disappointed...

"a solid staple"
These are the tortillas de maiz of my cigar diet. The pointy torp shape looks great and makes it easy to cut to just the right size. Almost always an even burn. Flavor is best described as moderate & straight up the middle. They mellow and gain some complexity with more age, but even at a month or two they're tasty.
And they're cheap.
And they're cheap.

"Very enjoyable"
The stick I smoked last night had been sitting in my humidor for about 9 months, and you definitely need to let them sit for a while before smoking them. If you do, this is a very tasty smoke. In addition to great though not overly complex flavor, this cigar had completely flawless construction, razor sharp burn and a long ash. In fact I can't think of a time when I've ever had anything less than a great burn from a 5 vegas.

"Yes, they're good!"
This is one of those flavorful cigars that would pass as a higher priced item to someone unfamiliar with the pricing.
It is an enjoyable smoke, and remains smooth yet full of flavor; great burn, and you will smoke this one until you can't hold the nub anymore. Recommended

"A good medium bodied smoke"
Received two of these in a taster pack from CI. I gifted one to a friend who doesn't usually smoke cigars and he seemed to really enjoy it. The second one has since been sitting in my humi until today. I'd say about three months additional rest total. A solid looking torpedo with a really pointy head and a smooth lightly veined wrapper. Pre-light aroma was very pleasant and pre-light draw was just right. Not too loose, not to tight. Lit up and was greeted with tones of earth and leather. After settling the smoke began to show a distinct coffee flavor on the finish that I found to be quite enjoyable. This flavor continued throughout the smoke and was occasionally joined with notes of sweetness. Burn was ok but needed a few corrections one of which was due to some tunneling. Draw stayed perfect throughout. I smoked this stogie down to less than an inch and it never once got hot on me. Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar. The flavors and strength are just right and at the price this stick may just become part of my regular rotation.

"Just So So"
I was hoping these would be a lot better than they were. Maybe if I let them sit a while in the humi they will improve. Construction was average, didn't burn even, flavor was "off", maybe I have a bad batch or it just isn't my kind of cig.

"Average at best"
I got these as part of a sampler and had read some glowing reviews. I let them hang in the humi for a month as this is what a lot of the reviewers had recommended. Today I had one and was not really impressed. Although the construction was solid an draw smooth, they were one dimensional. From start to end the same delivery and same flavor. If you want to settle for a uncharacteristic smoke at a good price then have at it. There are so many better cigars to smoke in this short life. If you want to be cheap then this is your championship. If you appreciate a good cigar them you wont stop here. I've been smoking for 14 years and have smoked at all price points so I don't mean to sound snobbish. However, there a so many other options at this price that blow this away.

"Very Enjoyable"
Very nice looking and smelling cigar right out of the package. I smoked this the day after I got it from ups, so no aging yet. Pre-lit draw was a little tight for my taste, but didn't affect the smoke. Lots of coffee in this one. Started a little bitter and reminded me of a R&J, only at the start though. Mellowed quickly into lots of strong coffee flavors with some cocoa mixed in. Very smooth all the way to the nub. Left a nice espresso finish on the pallette. I think smoking this with a nice cup of coffee would mellow it out and unmask more cocoa and cream. Very enjoyable cigar right out of the box, will buy more. Great price too.

"Very nice"
The construction and appearance is great. It has some incredibly white ash and burned perfectly even and produced a lot of nice smoke. The taste is mellow and not very complex, but hopefully aging the rest of these will fix that and the taste was actually quite good. Overall, I was very impressed, especially for how cheap it was. I'd smoke this over many expensive cigars I've had.

"Let them age"
When I first had one of these, I thought they were mediocre. After letting the other four from a five pack sit for about four months they improved dramatically. Medium bodied, nutty flavor with tastes of cashew and bread. These are a great standard smoke to keep in any humidor, but you must let them sit for a good three months before smoking.

Smoked a Torp today after lunch w/ a cup of joe. Nice mild - med body, with a creamy nutty flavor and a firm light gray ash. It was a bit one dimensional, but that was okay. Perfect for the afternoon. Price was good too. Recieved a 12 pack for @ 19.00. That's about 1.60 a cigar.

"Average to 8."
I've had many of these. They are at worst (with 6 months of box time) average. At best, with 2 years of aging like mine are now they can be an "8" cigar. This cigar did receive a 90 from one of those fancy, schmancy cigar magazines (I think it was a blind test too). Don't ever be afraid to lay a box of these down. Please be helpful with your reviews. This is what this site is all about. Don't bitch about cigars without stating the amount of time you aged your stick. I read too many reviews like the one below. Why did it taste like cardboard? maybe you smoked it the day you bought it? Duh...of course it's going to taste like brown paper. When these are green (like any cigar) they are not very good. I know. I've smoked these green. They did taste like cardboard and it was harsh. These Cico Vegas' are a patient persons inexpensive everyday cigar. If you want right out of the box perfection (maybe) go pay $20 for a '26 or '64 Padron. I cant afford that so I pay less but must wait a while for them to get good. Mine are fine, I had another good experience with these. You can too.

Tried a few of these and they were consistantly an average smoke. Earthy, slightly nutty, medium-full bodied. Well constructed, burns evenly. Just an all around average smoke. "Average Smoke, literally"
First off, it starts off just a little harsh, but smooths out halfway through. The last half is earthy and prominently Dominican like-spicy and medium to full bodied. Its decent, and definetly a smoke to revisit once in a while. However, I prefer Carlos Torano Signature or Montecristo #2 (Cuba), so I probably won't be buying anymore of these. But thats just the me, I'm a connisseur. BTW, just like school grades a 7 would be a C.

I have smoked 5 Vegas for some time now and find them to be a dependable everday cigar. The flavor is distinctive (satisfying to my tastes) and on the medium to full side of things. You also can get these at very reasonable prices on a consistent basis. Sure would like to know who produces these for CI/CB/Cigar.com consortium. They get a thumbs up from me!

"A solid everyday $3 smoke."
Tuesday afternoon's 5 Vegas experience reminded me how nice these can be. These are not going to win any beauty contests, they are not going to blow you away with intense changing flavor profiles, and you'll run into some minor construction issues regarding burn and draw every fourth stick or so. But for $3 a throw, once properly aged for at least 3 months, you can't beat these as an everyday smoker. You can count on them being mostly medium bodied, full of slightly sweet, straight tobacco type flavors, with some coffee, wood, and earth overtones. Enjoy.

I was gifted a few of these recently and finally got around to lighting one up, didn't expect much, just a decent bundle cigar. Was I ever suprised to find these torpedoes as complex and rich tasting as any premium I've tried, even those costing far more. At the risk of sounding heretical, when I closed my eyes, I may as well have beem smoking an Anejo #55. Aside from some burn issues in the last 3rd of the smoke, I'd say this is a premium cigar.

"A damn fine smoke!!"
All in all I found this to be a great smoke. I found that when lit correctly and smoked while turning the cigar it burned evenly and fully. The ash was super firm lasting about 2 inches before falling off. There were definite earthy notes and coffee flavors and it paired nicely with a dark cup of coffee. All in all a premium smoke for what I paid.

A must try cigar. Exceptional value. I brought one to Texas hold'em night a few weeks ago. I broke out even, but this stick's flavor was "big slick" for an hour and a half. I think you'll always have some burn and construction issues with these but the flavor is fan-@#%$&*#-tastic for $3.00 a throw. Make sure you give them plenty of box time.

"good deal on a decent smoke"
The whole 5 vegas line seems to be a great budget smoke. I am finishing my last of the box right now and still enjoy the medium body and smooth flavor it provides. The only knock I have on the smoke is the construction. From the first in the box to the last they seem to burn uneven and sometimes the wrapper cracks when burning. Besides the seemingly poor construction, the flavor and smoking experience itself is as good as it gets for the price. Age also seems to help the cigars taste greatly. Enjoy one yourself if you can today.

Floral, wheaty, sweet spice, meat(?), mild start building to medium before half way and still one of the best deals around. Now that I'm a "seasoned" smoker and these are seasoned smokes they are much milder to me now. They stand up much better to morning coffee or an iced tea in the afternoon than an adult beverage in the evening. Absolutely perfect burn and easy draw from this well aged classic torpedo.

It all depends upon the price you end op paying for these. I paid $2 a stick at Cigar bid. At $2 a throw these are fantastic. Solid middle of the road flavor and complexity. Nothing world shattering, but good. Good burn and draw. Nice ash. At 4 bucks a throw these are not bad but you can get better...ie El Rey Del Mundo, Cusano Rocky Patel seconds, Fonseca. Make sure you age the 5 Vegas sticks a month or so before smoking. They get better with "marination".

Got a 5er of these when I bought a box of something else. Let them relax in a humi for 6 weeks then had 2 in the past week. Nice looking torps, almost as well rolled as my Bauzas. Nice smooth mild smoke but picked up an edge of harshness about half way down. Draw was a bit too easy, cigar was light, somewhat underfilled, and tended to burn hot. I needed to really watch my smoking to prevent it from getting harsh. I didn't find any big reasons to dump these cigars, but I don't see a good reason to pick one to smoke.

If you want a good golf smoke try Outdorsman's Reserve, I cant stand this one. I have some extra ones and will only give to drunk friends who want ot floss liek real players. this was a lovely looking finely constructed beast of a cigar, however it tasted liked an unfiltered cigarette. I aged one for three months in a perfect humidor and it tasted liek a Dutchmasters (el cheapo drugstore cigar, while not bad tasting only costs 35 cents a cigar, and is machined made) the flavor was extremely lacking. I love full cigars but can handle a mild one here and there, however this one had NO flavor. At least with mild cigars you can taste the tobacco. Try something else only try this if its free. Buyer beware, and to those who smoke this try a montecristo or CAO gold these are acceptable mild cigars. I wouldnt pay more than 50 cents for these rags. but at least they look good.

"Cinco or Swimmo"
After reading the reviews, I must admit that I was intrigued. So, I secured a bundle of them, and well... I'm torn. The draw was overly easy, even with the smallest of cuts. The weight was strangely light, and the smoke was white and very billowy. I found the flavor to be nutty with a smooth butter-like texture, but there was a juvenile harshness to it that seemed to pull itself together at times, but ultimately reminded me that it was rough... sort of like the guy with the mullet at the symphony. The burn was even and the ash was normal, and after a minute or so, Earthy and leafy flavors popped up as well. The band is very classical, and they look nice, but it is not enough to overcome the final flavor shortcomings. This is a cigar for windy days, or long rides on the old lawnmower, and can be enjoyed with inexpensive alcohol and attention focused elsewhere.

"Golf Cigar"
Let me start by saying I have smoked about 30 of these cigars. I purchased a couple of boxes at a steal off an auction site on the internet. These are my absolute favorite golf cigar. They meet the requirements: reliably good, hearty, lots of smoke and of course reasonably priced. I hand these things out like tees on the links. The construction of these cigars is fair, but the consistency of these is where it’s at, they are always good. They are very nice to look at; they are slightly dark with the Sumatra wrapper and have some big hairy veins. Now, I am a torpedo man, so one of the first things I look at is the cap. The cap on this 5 Vegas is one of the best I have ever seen, it affixes almost seamlessly to the cigar. After cutting this cigar, unlit, the draw was great. After this baby was lit the draw was even better, and it maintained all the way through. I have had about 50% of these gars plug up towards the end (this could be due to I cut a bit short, slop them up, but if I need more draw I make a deeper cut). This one had a nice even burn until the last inch and a half then it started to burn up one side. I have found this to be common for these cigars, some burn flawless some burn every which way, what’ ya going to do? This is a medium bodied cigar, very smooth, and I want to say that I it has tasted somewhat nutty sometimes. I think it all depends on what you are drinking at the time. On the links I burn through these pretty fast, about an hour. Bottom line: for the price these kick ass, I smoke them like they’re cigarettes. I have yet to have any of my friends tell me that they didn’t like these. I bought these for about $30.00 a box, they usually retail for about $65.00 a box. These are cheap enough that if you get a bad burn, you can toss it and grab another one. Let em’ rip, a great everyday smoker.
