"Quick Smoke"
As box-rolled cigars go, the Wafe is pretty neat. I like how it comes in a cigarette-type box, which makes it great for carrying in a pocket. These are great to take to the bar or a picnic, and they always start a conversation. People seem to be attracted to them and become curious about what it is. The Wafe is a good compromise between a full cigar and a cigarillo. The big issue I have is that there is a rather difficult draw due to how slender it is. This gets a bit annoying at times. Otherwise, the flavor is good, if not a bit strong. I like strong flavors, but many people don't.

"Like smoking a stick of gum"
I picked up a Wafe along with some of its ACID cousins. This was by far my least favorite. The shape is interesting, but the whole time it felt like I had a stick of chewing gum between my fingers. Flavor was ok, the tip has been sweetened, and had an artifical sweetner after taste that I didnt really enjoy. The draw was very loose and it got hot quickly. This is one that I wouldnt waste my money on again. If you want to try an ACID go for the blondie or kubakuba

"More Gimmick Than Cigar"
It was hard to rate and review this cigar as the shape, size and construction are different than just about any cigar out there. I expected this cigar to be thin, but it wasn't much more than a wrapper and a couple of leaves put together. It's about the same thickness as thin beef jerky. As for the taste it started very sweet as it is sugar tipped, but after the first sixty seconds that fads and you have average flavor at best. Keep in mind that I'm an Acid fan, but this cigar is near the bottom of the Acid list. That said, still it's better than many small cigars out there. However, these are drastically overpriced. The Wafe is really more of a gimmick than a cigar. I think I prefer even the Blondie to this one.

"More of a looker"
Overall, I'd say this smoke was average for the Acid crowd. Cigar tasted sweet and creamy, much like the other blue bands, and burned evenly. However, as it smoked, the cigar lost it's 'flat' appearance near the tip. Definitely meant to raise some eyebrows, and I would recommend for the price, to get a Blondie instead. Near the end of the cigar, the burn got extremely hot very quick, making the finish to be ruined by having too much heat. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and I would say worth a try if you like other Acids, but nothing I would buy again unless I'm looking to get looks.

"Loose & extremely easy"
Not necessarily a good thing in cigars, felt like the tobacco was unraveling as I smoked. Also had some uneven burn. Creamy, coffee-like flavor enhanced by the sweet tip (although not candy-like as in the Blondie,) changed over to wheat tones midway although did not overwhelm the tobacco. Medium body provided a bite on the back of the tongue. Not bad if you want a 30 minute smoke.

"Sweet Little Cigar"
The Wafe is a sweet little cigar. It has a very unique shape, yet the construction is fantastic. Like the other ACID cigars it has a sweetened tip and a nice aroma. This is a perfect size for a quick smoke. It has character and complexity. It starts sweet but then grows in flavor and strength. This one is not very mild, more of a medium strength. However it does not sneak up on you like the Blondie. The Wafe is unquestionably worth having in your humidor for those times you want to relax with a sweet little cigar. I am going to get a bunch more.

"Unique and fantastic"
Very unique cigar, definitely will raise some eyebrows. The taste and draw were amazing, as was the dense white smoke. The cigar did not last long however, definitely a 20-30 minute smoke.

"Chick Smoke"
Big fan of ACIDs. Bought this one on because of the shape and I'm a fan of the blue line. The flavor was not what I expected. Perhaps I've been spoiled by Kuba Kubas. There was a lot of bitternes in the first third and towards the end. The middle mellowed out a bit and wasn't too bad. But this thing burnt completely uneven and was really loose. Great eye candy for the box though and great for poker night.

"my favorite acid"
I have somewhat of a fan of the acid line, they were my favorite cigars when I was just starting out, but with time tastes change, and so did mine. Many of the acids are too strongly flavored, many taste too floral or too sweet, but not this one. The acid wafe is a beautiful little cigar. The shape is very unique and is a welcome change from the norm. This cigar is a good smoke from beginning to end, the only downfall is that its too short, it only lasts about 20 - 30 minutes, when its over I find myself wishing there was more. The flavor is that of honey and cream, not too sweet, and the scent is very good, it does not smell like incense like many acids, its just a pleasant aroma. If you find yourself turned off by the rest of the acid line, give this one a try, it will not disappoint.

"Cool stick with kick"
I reviewed this stick a while back and want to update after some humi time. I still say this is a neat idea for a cigar shape. I can put them in my humidor like a stack of cards and just deal em out when friends come over. Humidor efficiency aside, this cigar is a powerful little gem, but not a harsh kind of power that so many cigars provide. It has smoothness + power, and this is what I like. The flavor is unique, but for the life of me I cannot pin it down. That is often the case with ACID cigars, but this one is not like the flavored cigars that Acid puts out. Just a unique, not unpleasant flavor with nice aroma. Still a cool stick, even if it is a little gimmiky.

"Wafes are cool, but...."
I really like the concept of the wafe cigar. Java's wafe is an extraordinary quick smoke and an overall delightful experience. I had long anticipated the release of Acid's wafe. The best part is that they chose to stick to their strongest line (Blue line) with the wafe, so if you're a fan of Blondies or 1400ccs or Kuba Kubas, this is another nice quick smoke. Blues might not have the BEST flavor overall from acid, but I think the yellow lines flavor is would overpower a cigar this small. The mild sweetness and spice of blue complements the shape well. The draw is great, but sometimes the burn starts to become uneven about halfway down the stick, which is always inconvenient with one so small. The wafe is a nice cigar, but I don't see myself taking it over a Blondie (for the flavor) or a Java wafe (for the shape) any day.

"Wafe for yer wife"
This was an interesting change of pace. On our way back down the coast from the schooner trip we stopped off again in New Hampshire at the smoke shop. They were having a Drew Estate Event there. Got two of these and two others for free for purchasing three cigars in the Acid/Natural line. Funny aside: I say to the Drew dude, “These are some my wife might like.” “The Wafe,” he says. “Yeah my wife,” says I. “She might like the Wafe,” he says. “Who might like my wife?” says I. “No. Try the Wafe,” he says. It went on like that for a while, you can imagine. He had a Nor’ Eastern accent. Maybe you had to be there. Anyway. This was a bit of a delicate little guy. I felt like I could have snapped it in half. I had to smoke it with kid gloves. It tasted OK. I was having a hard time trying to narrow down a flavor and just gave up and enjoyed what it was to the funky flat nub. Lots of smoke and good even burn. Didn’t last long enough. Not so sure I’m a big fan of the flavoring, but that’s what the Acids are I suppose, so I’m not going to poo-poo it for that. I have more Acids to try out thanks to the Drew dude who may or may not have insulted my wife.

"Only fun thing is the shape"
First off, I was a fan of acid until recently. Acid was my first experience smoking cigars and I enjoyed them for a while. I have recently been turned onto the world of cigars outside of Acid, and have since enjoyed them less and less. All their cigars are "infused" with oils and such, and this one follows suit. One thing I noticed, once you get passed that sweet taste from the oils, this is a bland tasting cigar. Not much kick and some bitterness towards the end. Not an all around pleasant taste. This cigar was decently constructed, and produced a nice amount of smoke for such an odd shape. The cigar burned evenly throughout, but burned very hot towards the latter 1/3. The wafe has a lot of the same downfalls the rest of the acid line has. After smoking one, I can honestly say the only thing enjoyable was the shape.

"Favorite Acid"
After smoking most of the Acid line I have realized that they make some good and some bad. Fortunately for Drew Estate's new patented shape in the Acid line they have not let me down. The flavor that comes from this small stick is not overly complex, yet it is suprisingly tasty given the smallish size. I would personally say this cigar is the freak child of a Blondie and a Kuba Kuba. The draw and light both were easy, but the light was a bit strange with the shape but small enough to take all the flame. The draw is really what amazed me, how could they possibly get such a good draw from a flat cigar?! I couldn't believe it, from the 3 I have smoked I haven't had a bad draw, and would be tempted to compare the draw to the Padron '64 Exclusivo (definately not flavor-wise though the Padron is still #1). Overall a great new cigar from the Acid line and I am looking forward to trying the Java Wafe.

"Cool cool cool"
I love it when they put a cigar into the website that I asked for! This is a very cool and interesting gar. From what I understand, they patented the shape. This "flat" cigar is easy to light and burned very evenly. The flavor was still ACID though, so if you do not like the earthy flavors just admire it from afar. The price is not bad either. I have to give kudos to Drew Estates for not trying to capitalize on the gimmik of this cigar's shape by charging more than the quality is worth. It took me a bit to find a comfortable grip on this one, but I got used to it fast.

Cool cigar that stacks well in any humidor.
