"Another fine Anejo"
Minor wrapper flaw, great draw and a very nice burn that required one touch up. Initial flavor had a slight bitter touch that quickly smoothed over to a most enjoyable taste. Not quite up to the bar set by the No. 49, and therefore not quite the value.

"Great from start to finish"
My only mistake when buying this cigar was I only bought two. What A great cigar from start to finish burns and creates a great looking white ash. you won't want to put this cigar down.

"My favorite size of my favorite cigar"
Never had a bad Anejo of this size and the flavor profile is the best in this size as well. Euphoric is the best way to describe this one. Perfect burn, perfect draw, IMO perfect taste. I don't know what else to say.

"all hype, all cigar"
Yes, it was worth it. Minor complaint: tight draw making me work a bit too hard. After a couple of bitter puffs I backed off to let it cool off a bit and it returned to how it started: sweet, mellow and smooth. Beautiful white ash that didn't hang on too long, a bit more than an inch. One relight and a minor touch up was necessary. All worth it.

"Yummy!!!"
I was very excited about smoking this cigar, but was expecting it to be kind of a disappointment, because Fuente’s, although good cigars, don’t usually live up to their hype. However, this bad boy was very good, and I am definitely glad I have a few of them in my humidor. It had a beautiful maduro wrapper, which usually means it’s going to be strong, and it was. The ash was grey and flakey but quite sturdy. The draw was perfect and the smoke was creamy and thick. It burned pretty even until the end where it started burning towards the middle and the sides had to be re-lit a couple of times. It had a very interesting flavor, which I would describe as grassy. It also had a subtle spiciness about it, and some bitter cocoa hints. My only complaint about this cigar, besides its burn problems, is that it became a little bit harsh at the end, but it came and went and thankfully wasn’t overbearing. Overall this was a great cigar and well worth its value. If the others are just as good as this one I’m going to have to keep one of the boxes of these I’m selling.

"a mixed bag"
Good looking and obviously well built. Burn and draw are excellent -- razor straight with a tight white ash that approached two inches. Quite strong. Mostly peppery and woody, with a bone dry finish that gets increasingly distracting. I keep thinking I'm going to like these more than I do, but this overwhelming dryness mitigates their better qualities.

"Sweetness like no other"
I had a couple of these with mojitos at Casa Fuente last weekend. while they were rather expensive, I thought the flavor lived up to the hype. There was a sweetness that I can't quite put my finger on. A unique flavor that I enjoyed very much. As usual wit Fuente, the construction was outstanding. The price will prevent me from stocking up on these, but I recommend them for special times.

"Simply the BEST"
I saved this cigar for New Year's Eve and was not disappointed. A very unique cigar in that it is smooth, yet bold, heavy smoke, yet pleasant aroma. As good as a cigar can be.

"great robusto"
Dark oily wrapper. Awesome woody flavors right from the start. Very nice draw. Thick robust smoke with each pull. Some cherry wood notes as well as hints of leather. After the second third I did taste some cognac, not much but some nice undertones. Really a sweet tasting maduro. Better than most cigars of this size. At this price I feel that this cigar has great value.

"what happened?"
i am not a maduro fan, but as others noted, the taste of this cigar is fantastic. what really disappointed me was the construction. about a third of the cigar just rfused to burn for the last half, creating a ridiculous scoop. surprising since fuentes have stood out to me for their construction. maybe i just got a bad stick but for the large cash one has to lay out for this smoke, more QC would be in order.

"Arturo Fuente Anejo #50"
A.Fuentes Anejo #50 A cedar wrapped beauty of a corona gorda. The wrapper is a flawless maduro. The construction of this cigar is impeccable. A very firm roll, with no soft spots, or knots.

Prelight aroma is of cedar with hints of leather. I clip a double vcut, or an X cut, as I call it, with my colibre Chancellor. I then pick up my cheap triple torch, and toast the foot, since the POS colibre doesn’t work. Instantly spice assaults my tastebuds, in a strong rush, though very pleasant it caught me offguard. This is a very full rich cigar, with a bold spicy start. ½” in I start noticing notes of cedar. The base flavor is Leather, with notes of cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and an occasional hint of cocoa. There is a slight deviation in the burn at the ¾” mark, but it is hardly noticeable, with all that this cigar has going on flavor wise.

About an inch in, I get a base flavor of Spiced Mead, this with some coffee overtones, quite a unique combination, and quite pleasant. I am really enjoying the interplay between the spicy notes, as the fade in and out, and suddenly build in intensity, then fade as they allow another take the forefront.

This cigar is extremely complex, and the flavors a so varied, some I have trouble identifying, as they are only fleeting glimpses into the depths of this cigars complexity. At the midway point, the firm white ash is still holding on exhibiting the fine construction of the cigar. The slight deviation in burn mentioned earlier self-corrected some time ago, and has not reappeared.

This cigar is really starting to show some strength, and I have a nice buzz. Ahh I noticed a little Anise, that has been fading in and out, and I just now figured out what it was that was trying to come through between the other flavors.

Wow, I just can’t get over the complexity of this stick. I am sorry that this is my only one of these. The finish on this smoke is amazing.

The ash finally dropped, while I was removing the band, just before the band started burning.

An hour has passed, since I nubbed this cigar while burning the crap out of my fingers, and the flavors are still with me. This has got to be in my top 10 cigars of all time. I have smoked several, but none have quite been as good as this particular stick. I give this smoke, a 4.5 on a 5 point scale. An excellent smoke, that I will hoard, if given the chance.

"Greatness"
The Anejo's are becomming my favorite NC. I simply love the taste of these. Chocolate and that sweet maduro and that subtle cognac aftertaste make for a great smoke. A slightly uneven burn is the only knock I have on these. Draw was a bit tight but doesn't take away from the cigar in any way. If you can get them at at MSRP its even a good value for the quality of this cigar. Greatness I tell you.

"Close to perfection"
Don't you wish they all were rolled by the Fuentes? This is better than just about everything out there, Cubans included. Along with the 64 and 26 Padrons, this is my favorite domestive out there. Deep dark wrapper, perfectly rolled, flawless draw and the taste is impeccable. This is a strong cigar, but is so smooth that the strength is somewhat concealed. Flavor comes on slowly and stabilizes about midway through. Great taste and best value on the market, no contest.
