"Great smoke but not worth the trouble"
Good Maduro, but ridiculously overhyped and overpriced even if you can find them at MSRP. If they were a $5 stick I would buy them all the time. Nice full flavor, nice aroma, truly a very good cigar and the best Fuente has done but it's not worth the headache of trying to get them.

"Nice smoke"
Great looks and draw, slight burn irregularities required a couple of touch ups. Flavor just not up to the standard the No. 49's have presented.

"Great, great ciagr"
A full flavored cigar with oak and coffee flavors, with some spice and earthy tones. Construction was great, as was the draw. The burn was a little uneven, but it didn't take away form the flavor or smiking experience. Would of been close to a 10 if the burn was perfect... maybe the next one!!

"so so at best"
Cigar Aficiando gave it a 94 so I busted myself to buy a box. first one burnt uneven but was correct. nice aroma, long woody spice finish. It was ok- but didn;'t meet up to the hype. 24 to go- maybe the next one will excell.

"these sticks are so so"
im from Europe,so ive been smoking nothing but cubans so far.finally in usa i have possibility to try all best non cuban cigars, opus anejo diamond padron etc(they are much cheaper in usa than europe and available to buy.got 5 sticks of each brand and thats my first review of this anejo by mr.fuente.well finally non cuban stick that has some kind of flavors in it.nothing special though but enjoyable.had 5 of them and i can say that i do like them but the price is totally ridicoulas.these would be good 6$ sticks but 17?????no way Jose.construction and appearance is tip top also pretaste smell is very good.even better than many cubans that i had.the overall taste is satisfactory but there is no complexity whatsoever and basically zero power and spice.i would say these were almost boring but that sweet aftertaste was a nice experience.would i buy them again?not for this kind of price.why there is such a demand for these?i really dont understand.these are good aftebreakfast when you not ready for serious cigar.so like i said i could like them little be more if there were 6$ sticks, higher dollars demand higher quality.i like to smoke flavor bombs not hypes

"Great Smoke"
I enjoyed this smoke this evening. Full bodied and full of complexity. Notes of earth, black licorice and spice. When I first torched her up I tasted a very metallic flavor that scared me and soon passed. This smoke was wonderful.

"top tier"
What a great experience. This was my first Anejo, and will surely not be the last. Tremendous dark coffee bean and chocolate flavors. Perfect burn, great draw and great mouthlouds of smoke. Only problem is this went straight from the smoke shop to the lighter. Only one day in the humi and it was done. What would this smoke have been if it sat for 6 months or so. Maybe perfect

"A first class smoke"
Managed to find a few of this at 10$ per stick, which is a steal in my book. From the first puff to the last, flavors of cocoa and strong coffee hit the palate consistently. After the first 1/3 spiciness develops and as the stick warms up you get hints of heavy wood. Luscious draw from the start, with tons of heavy smoke. Perfect burn. Construction was one of the best I've seen, with an ash that remained well beyond two inches. All in all a Dominican stick to rival, or even surpass, quite a few Cubans out there. The owner of the store offered me a whole box for 10$ a stick. I will be purchasing it tomorrow.

"Very, very good maduro"
This torpedo has a gorgeous dark wrapper and comes nicely presented wrapped in a sleeve of cedar. The draw and burn are both excellent. It's a smooth smoke with a sweet earthiness and hints of coffee and licorice. Medium-bodied with no resulting buzz. There's a cigar cliche that says all maduros taste the same--this cigar does have typical maduro flavors, but it also has an extra sweetness and is smoother than expected.

"Excellent for an NC"
I had less than ideal conditions to smoke this cigar in - Christmas Day in Chicago, back porch, 25 degrees and a 15 mile per hour wind. The finer qualities still shown through. Lots of rich smoke and an earthy, hearty taste. Very enjoyable and worth the looks of "crazy idiot" from the relatives as they watched me through the back door window glass.

"Top NC"
I have yet to have an Anejo that disappointed. Construction on these babies are top notch, there was even one that when smoked, never ashed. great flavor, the sweetness really puts this above the rest of the NC maduros. if you can get any Anejos at near MSRP grab them.

"mystery"
bought some of these cigars because of the hype and i like opus x. The reputation of these cigars is a mystery as it was so ordinary, not nearly as good as many non-cubans one third the price.smoked a cuban bolivar belicoso afterwards, not on the same planet.

"Different--- no.. really..it is.."
Way too much hype for this cigar line-- I expected to be disapointed. But... I was not. This is an excellent cigar. Flavorful with depth and complexity. I suspect most of us here enjoy fine cigars as well as puffin away at a stogie... the difference between the two is in the way you appreciate them. This isn't a cigar for when you are mowing the lawn. Don't take this cigar to poker night either. My suggestion is that you have 1 to one and a half hours, uninterupted along with your bevarage of choice (for me its a deep, hearty red) and savor this fine smoke. This is THAT type of cigar. Not that bad a value condisidering the rareness and experience of this smoke.

"Fuente never goes wrong"
Beautiful looking cigar with an almost black oscuro wrapper. The prelight draw was sweet and easy. Tangy chocolate flavor...yes, the cigar was rather one-dimensional,,,but what a dimension! Perfect burn, easy draw, lots of rich smoke! Taste remained the same all the way through, but trust me that is not a bad thing. Delicious cigar, not complex but certainly worthy of MSRP.

This cigar looks beautiful & tastes like it was powdered with cocoa. Unfortunately the flavor was one dimensional & it didn't burn well. The bottom line is that I didn't like it. If i ever buy another it'll be to gussy up the humidor. For the money, i suggest you buy yourself a ttt torpedo.

"Bold!!"
This cigar comes with hype and, in my opinion, is well-deserved. Dark, oily (almost oscuro) maduro wrapper with minimal veins and no soft spots. Attractive torpedo vitola comes wrapped in cedar. Excellent prelight aroma. Easy light. Drew a little hot to start with thick, white smoke. Began with intense black pepper and spice, then quickly transitioned into a rich, complex, and bold blend of dark chocolate, burnt espresso, and raw cocoa. These flavors remained present throughout the whole smoke, though became smoother as I continued. By the halfway point, I detected a faint oaky note as well as a floral note that grew stronger by the last 1/3. The burn was a bit of an issue, as it almost immediately started to tunnel. The burn was also uneven (canoed) through the whole 1 hour experience and required frequent attention. Nevertheless, the flavor was unbelievable. The Vitamin N was noticable by the halfway point, and intensified by the end. Definitely one to be enjoyed after a meal and not before. All in all, a very bold and flavorful cigar that deserves the hype.

"Well"
Took off the cedar wrapper and found a couple of veins, but a quite pretty, oily wrapper. Snipped the head and sparked it up. For such a firm feeling cigar, the draw was superb and burn problem free. Taste was nice, but because I've been smoking a lot of habanos lately, I found something was missing and ultimately was disappointed by this cigar. I've seen some places selling this cigar at thirty bucks a stick. I mean come on, thats just stupid.

"Fantastic"
Was gifted a 2 year old Anjeo. It felt hard as a rock, but clipped nicely and smoked beautifully. It was one of the best non-cuban smokes I ever had. Full, rich, with a delicious sweetness in the finish. Smoking it with good friends helped enhance my enjoyment.

"Just like the Shark"
Every bit as rich and robust as it big brother, the Shark. I was expecting a hint of woody ceday due to the cedar wrapping this cigar comes in, but that wasn't there. I'll have to revisit it in another year or two after some time in the humidor.
