"Room for improvement"
I am mixed on this cigar. I enjoy the taste. Woody, slightly nutty for the first half. Tward the end it turns a bit grassy. I have liked these in the past, but the burn was not very good. I could barely hold onto an ash, and it was very dark grey in color. Also had some bad tunneling on this one. If this was improved it would be a good average cigar.

"Revised Edition"
Gosh! What has happened to to these cigars? Since my original review 6 months ago, I have noted a steady but certain decline in the quality of not only these, but some other Fuente products as well. Are they sacrificing quality, for quantity? Bad draw .... TERRIBLE burn .... splitting and even falling apart .... What a difference six months can make. I'll not be wasting my money on these any more, unless I am sure the problems have been fixed. Meanwhile, I'll be ordering a much more smokable cigar, without the cedar sleeve and ribbons, at a much more reasonable price.

"you get what you pay for!!"
The lady at the cigar shop asked me if i tried these she said they fly out the door. The size, construction and taste did not impress me. for the price of two you can get a lot more cigar

"Pretty Disappointing"
I'm not a sophisticated smoker, but I just didn't get much out of this cigar. It's reasonably priced and the burn was good, but it didn't have much flavor.

"Bundle cigar"
If you changed the bands on these and put them in bundles, they would rate about the same as I rate them.

"A pleasant smoke"
Experienced an even burn, good draw, well made cigar. Flavors were very pleasing, ranging from cedar to nutty to spicy. Smoked consistent throughout, and found myself wishing it were a bit longer. These will have a reserved spot in the ol' humidor!

"Nice flavor, horrible burn."
Good appearance and pre-light aroma. I had this in the humi for 8 months so I was anxious to see how it would turn out. The body was mild/medium with main flavors of cedar and some vanilla. My issue was that this stick spooned pretty much the entire way through, and even with numerous touch-ups, I was not able to get this to burn evenly. Otherwise, this would have been an enjoyable smoke.

"Mild Flavor, Good Summertime Smoke"
Mild flavor even for an AF, slightly spicy, somewhat uneven burn. Nice on a hot day. Would be a good cigar for a non-regular smoker or newbie because there's nothing surprising or strong.

"One of my staples"
The AF Chateau Fuente is a great and cheap cigar. It's one of my everyday staple cigars. They are individually wrapped in cedar which lends to the full bodied cedar flavor. This cigar also has spicy notes. If you like sun grown cigars then I recommend the AF Chateau Fuente Sun Grown.

"Decent inexpensive smoke"
I always like the Fuente's for a decent, consistent, under $5 smoke. Well constructed and good flavor, but not complex or outstanding. A good smoke when you want something you don't have to sit down with and think about.
Not much else to say about them.
Gryphon:
Check out the Fuente Hemmingway, Don Carlos and Anejo lines. Those are their high end cigars.
Don't expect any of them to be Cubans, though.

"Not too bad"
The draw is really free... To let all the
strong through. About halfway through, I sprouted a
large patch of chest hair. The good news is, unlike a
loan shark or a hooker you refused to pay, it doesn't
kick you in the face when you're down. It stays
mildly menacing through the whole smoke. It couples
very well with a good Cab. Not unlike a battered
spouse, I find myself oddly looking forward to being
punched in the face again.

"I dont get it?"
Ok, I mainly smoke Cuban cigars. But with all the hype, I decided to test drive the Fuente range. I don't get it. This smoke, was nicely made. In fact not much was wrong. it was just so boring. No life to the flavours. No body. Very disappointed. I was hoping for more

"Fair"
Very fustrating, smoked 2, and both times, required a lot of attention. Very nutty, medium amount of finish. Mild spice. Overall Just not my type of cigar. I like Asthon's or Partagas better.

"Needed attention"
Good tobacco flavor with floral hints. Seem to need a lot of attention but if paid, made lots of smoke. Nice draw, but consistant uneven burn. Good short smoke for the money.

"Quick Fix"
This is a perfect smoke when you do not have a lot of time. I smoked this little burger for a few years. Great construction with a consistent middle of the road strength and a mild finish.

"When tired of Maduros"
good little smoke but use a V cut of plug cutter because the draw is aliitle loose. Love the nutty and woody flavor; short smoke when have little unlike the Royal Salute.

"A good short Fuente smoke"
Partially wrapped in a sleeve of cedar, this is a solid and nice-looking cigar. It has a decent draw but an inconsistent burn that requires attention throughout. After a very spicy start, it becomes more balanced as the spiciness is joined by some woody, nutty, and sweet notes that surround a core of tobacco flavor. A good smoke but I still prefer the sun grown version.

"A good average smoke"
This is a good smoke, but the draw is a little loose. The flavor lasts as long as you don't rush it. It would be a good one for an occasional smoke or for company.

Excellent overall. A bit floral with a peppery finish. Beautiful burn and a nicely formed white ash that held on for almost the entire smoke. This one's a keeper.

"Key word: Consistent"
Well made...tasted great. This is one you pick out and know that you wont get no surprises. A mild bodied cigar..nice burn to it. The flavor was not overpowering, but a bit mild for me. This was one that is worth the $$. Got 5 for $15 on cigarbid.

"A noteable Gar"
I've smoked a lot of these as well as the double. Performance has been variable sometimes I hit a box that has a few losers in it. Definitely gets better in the humidor. all in all at the price a pretty good everyday smoke.
