"Amazing value"
Great everyday smoke. Definatly the best under three dollars. Buy a box. Very ugly though.

"Cool bits of tobacco"
A friend offered up one of these after purchasing a box. The wrapper was veiny and had a pronounced stem along one side. The color was good and the stick cut easily. A cool sweet taste was the first thing you notice after lighting up. Like breathing in after finishing a handful of peppermint lifesavers. The sweet taste went away after 2 inches were burned and you were left with very little flavor. For a short filler cigar, the ash didn't flake off too easily. The burn was even and never needed a touch-up. I never noticed before, I must chew the end of the cigar. The short filler left me with bits of tobacco in my mouth after each puff. The cheap price will entice you to purchase this stick based on the brand name. This is not the usual Fuente product most cigar enthusiasts are use to. You get what you pay for here, a cheap average smoke.

"If it is the Deluxe, it is the deal"
I have smoked both the standard Curly Head and the Deluxe. I don't see a distinction in the choices on this site. The last Deluxe I smoked was the real deal. Outstanding flavor-- really some of the best flavor in a cigar at any price--let alone $2.00. The drawback is the medium filler which leaves tobacco pieces in your mouth and the uneven drawn. For an everday smoke, it cannot be beat.

"great everyday smoker"
My first Fuente curly head. For $2.25/smoke, this is an awesome value. I'd go best cigar under $3 easy.
The cigar is not pretty, and the one I pulled had a couple of heavy veins in the wrapper. I didn't know if this would affect the burn, but it did not. Actually, other than the veins, the maduro wrap was a beautiful light chocolate with a slight sheen.
The curly head started to get wrinkled about 1/2 way through, but other than that, the cigar was firm, but not hard, and seemed to be built well. The draw was good. The cigar had a slight uneven burn up and down the whole stick. Light smoke volume.
I was wowed with the flavor of the cigar. Initially, the wrapper, being maduro, was a touch sweet. Not unpleasantly so, and I was very pleased by the taste. Upon lighting the cigar, I immediately got vanilla, caramel, and a light cafe au lait vibe. This is a mild to medium bodied cigar.
Certain spots, about 1/4 the way in, had a bit of pepper spice, which was welcome to break it up. About 1/4 from the end, the cigar got spicier, but never got hot. I would have smoked until I burned a finger, but I had some work to do, so I had to toss it out as the flavor was getting more diverse.
No downsides at all for this smoke- an everyday pleasurable smoke that goes on my short list for now. I'd like to get that smoke in a robusto, if it is available. With a bigger smoke, I would imagine the flavor would increase, as well as the smoke volume.

"Awesome Everyday"
I really enjoy these. It is almost impossible to smoke these too hot, unless you are smoking like a vacuum. They have a really good grassy woodsy flavor with some pepper. Fantastic stick for the price. Not the prettiest cigar by any means.

"Not my cup of tea.."
At just a couple of bucks a stick, this is the best value cigar Fuente makes. However, you get what you pay for as the saying goes, so don't expect anything spectacular. Other than that, this is a solid stick with a fair amount of smoke that compliments a morning cup of coffee very well.

"Nothing special"
Hand rolled Dutch Master IMO. A bit grassy with a touch of spice. Just nothing special. Tampa Sweethearts are light years better if you have to have a AF.

This cigar is nothing to look at, but the taste is far above the cost.

"Love 'Em !!"
They say, "To each his own". Well, I must say that sang is oh so true. Because in MY opinion, (and we all have one, right), these sticks are one of the most enjoyable I have ever had. And for what they cost it is a perfect everyday smoke. Now remember, I am speaking of the Maduro only, because I have never tryed the natural. Anyway...try one , I think you will agree.

"A.Fuente Curly Tailed DOG ROCKET"
You get what you pay for. This "cigar" is made from sweepings from the factory's pet day care facility. Bitter, Harsh, Uneven burn. I'm sorry folks, but don't waste your money.

"best value you will ever find PERIOD"
I am in love with these. I burn 6-8 sticks a day and price is a big issue for me. Shure they don't look sexy and construction isn't perfect and the flavor isn't exquisite but @ >1.50 a smoke they cant be beat.

"strong and bitter"
This cigar actually looked pretty good. Very dark, almost black, evenly colored, and fairly smooth and shiny. Construction and draw was okay. Prelight oder was a little amonia like. Flavor was strong and bitter throughout, and a little salty. Not really what I prefer.

"Shouldn't be called Fuente"
I'm not overly picky when it comes to construction, but this is likely the worst-made cigar I have had the misfortune to come across. I'm used to the real Fuentes; I kept spitting out pieces of tobacco, and yes, I do know how to cut a cigar correctly.

"Cheap Smoke"
The thing was nasty! I paid $1.95 for this stick and thats what it tasted like I was smoking, a stick. The cigar has a strong wood flavor with little else. The construction was so so, because it burned evenly, but the draw was somewhat stiff. I won't be trying any more of these things.

"A little better!"
A little better than the reg Curly Heads that is! But that isn't saying much. So-so construction and burn, but the draw is good. Very rough looking and tasting. Good for the yard if you can get em cheap but nothing else.

"The sleeper"
I prefer a bigger ring, she knows this but, it's Father's Day! The name didn't blow my skirt up either! Once the box was opened they weren't much to look at! As I randomly lifted one from it's nap I found a definite sleeper, not much to look at but unbelievably priced. Right out of the box flavor! Built only for enjoyment with an ash the big boys talk about. I stored the rest for (06/19/2006) biggest bang for the buck.

if it were not for these cigars I would not have began the lust for a good cigar, I was a cigarette smoker looking for something better and these did it, now I love cigars and think this is a great everyday smoke

"What do you want?"
At under 3 bucks I'd say this is a pretty decent smoke. I've gone through about a dozen of these, and I think they are pretty consistent. Not very complex in flavor, but sort of bready with the occasional harsh draw. The construction is quite crude, lots of soft spots, sort of spaghetti westernish- but I happen to dig feeling like the man with no name once in awhile...

"good everyday smoke"
I bought a couple of these while on a business trip in San Francisco. They taste ok for everyday smoke, but they are a little bit of work to keep them smoking straight. I got a good deal on a box of the Maduros and smoke these fairly often. Rough appearance

"Far from par"
I had a couple of these and were not satisfied whatsoever. The first one wasn't too bad but the second was just plain terrible. It didn't have that great of an aroma and the flavour was like harsh shoe leather. It left a sharp unpleasent taste in my mouth and I actually put it out after an inch and a half. I felt so ripped off that i had to light up a Cuban (I'm from Canada so they are legal) to cheer me up. BTW, I had to pay 10$ CAN for one of these =( what a rip off

"not that bad...not that good"
I've had a couple of these and they just don't do anything for me. I like the smaller ring gauge, but the construction and burn are a little shoddy (and I like some short fillers) and the taste is not that great. There are better cigars out there for half the price

"Good cheap cigar"
This cigar isn't one of Arturo Fuente's finest but its a good cigar nonetheless. A bit of a woody taste to it. Good draw throughout, ash was slightly loose but stayed together. Overall, not bad.

"Good Value"
Let's be honest these are made from the stuff that falls on the floor at the fuente factory. Although the material and construction are not great the price is and if you are burning a lot of gars each day this ain't a bad one for the habitual smoker. In it's price catagory it's a winner.

Very slow burn, hard to draw.
Started out OK, but became very strong--almost bitter--during last
half. Finally ditched it with a couple inches to go. Was very
disappointed!
