"Can't put it down..."
I have had the pleasure of smoking just about a box of these sticks in the last 3 months. I will have to say that these babes are great just about anytime of the day. I smoke them in the morning with my coffee or late at night after dinner. It's all good. I love the mild cocoa flavor with just a hint of spice that i get. I can't wait to smoke another... wait... I have another smoking in my hand... ahhh.... pure bliss.

"Smokes as good as it looks"
Flawless construction compliments a near perfect blend of tobaccos. Light cocoa and coffee flavors meld beautifully with the smooth tobacco taste and a woody finish. IMHO the Hemingway line is the star of the Fuente line-up.

"My favorite cigar yet"
LOVE this cigar, but probably not for everone. For me it was the perfect mid point (strength and flavor) between a maduro and a lighter (yellow label) cigar. Definitely better aged a bit, mine started to taste much richer and fuller after about three months in humi.

"Summer of My Discontent"
This was a good cigar, but with all the hype it turned out to be my biggest disappointment of the summer (cigar-wise). I guess my expectations were just too high. The looks, and build of this cigar were certainly well above average. The taste while above average wasn't way above average. If I had paid $3, I would have counted myself lucky, but at more than twice that, I feel letdown.

"Not up to the hype"
This cigar should of been a knockout based on its following, but it came up short. The look of the cigar is pretty basic and the construction was good. The draw was completely effortless, but the burn was uneven. I had to touch it up and then it finally evened out for me half way down the cigar. flavor wise, the cigar was good. Lots of cocoa and spice, with woody/oak flavors. A good overall cigar, but for the rep it gets, I expected more.

"Good, but not great"
I picked this up at the local smoke shop. Smoked it same day, didn't age. Appearance was ok, nothing special. Love the shape, but the wrapper had some prominent veins. Wrapper also had a couple of small tears, but never unraveled. Construction was solid, had a tiny amount of give when pressed. Lighting was very easy, thanks to the pointed tip at the foot of the cigar.

Initial flavor was very woody. Aroma was good. About an inch later, it started to mellow a bit and the initial kick dissipated. I started to pick up some vanilla like notes. About half way in, the smoke tasted peppery. The rest of the way, the cigar did not improve. Kind of lost complexity. The smoke was always cool, never hot. The burn was uneven at times, but required only one touch up.

Overall a good cigar, but the price paid is the killer. $8.50 for this stick is just a buck fifty too much.

Doesn't live up to it. Not very complex. Smokes slow and doesn't produce all the smoke I would have liked. That being said, it tasted very good. A bit sweet thanks to the Cameroon. But again, the lack of complexity makes me wonder why the reputation.

This smoke is just about perfect. Even burn, nice draw, fantastic taste. I could smoke this cigar morning, noon, and night. I've smoked cigars that cost four times as much and the Hemingway line just goes to show that you don't have to break the bank to enjoy a wonderful smoke. I will always have a Hemingway, be it the Signature or the Classic, in my humidor.

Just started second box in 2 years. And I still love it. It have special place in medium cigars price range ($ 6-7). True pleasure to smell this spicy and creamy cocoa, chocolate and pepper cigars even before smoking. I have kept it 6-9 months in 70/70 humidor and need to say its perfect... Perfect construction, amazing flavor, slow burn and balanced draw. One of my best short smokers (70-90 minutes).

A decent mild-med cigar. The draw was tight but opened up about halfway. Unfortunately, the taste also went stale at the same point. I didn't finish the cigar. This Hemingway and the Don Carlos turn me away from Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva's. The Fuente's Ashton line is much better

"An ever-changing cigar"
Man, this thing was all over the place. Decent apperance and pre-light aroma. Construction-wise, it was okay. Burn was mostly even (it would start to get a runner and then even itself out, for the most part), but the draw was extremely tight for the first third of the cigar. About 1/2 way in it loosened up a bit and for the last third it was okay, but not great. Flavor-wise...extremely varied. Started of kind of leathery, which then changed to a woody and coffee flavor with a strong undertone of anise that lasted through the entire smoke. There was a very tart flavor to the smoke that was okay and bearable, but not too enjoyable, until about halfway to the three quarters in, when that tartness went away and the undercurrent turned buttery which was extremely enjoyable. Towards the last inch and a half it got kind of tarry which dissipated somewhat after I purged it once. This was a good smoke, for the most part. It was just inconsistent in it's flavor and had it remained the way it was during that middle half of the cigar, I would give this a 10 on flavor. Not a bad deal, and I think that a good few months in the humidor might alleviate some of those issues.

"Very nice!"
As with the other Hemingways I've tried, this is a very nice cigar with the only detraction being some harshness even after a few months of aging. It is medium/full cocoa and coffee, very tasty at light, but then turns a bit funky and harsh intermittently for about an inch. After that it was clean and medium bodied tasty toasty and cocoa to the end. As with the others, this likely needs at least 3-6 months of aging to smooth out the rough spots. Great flavor though.

"No taste."
Somewhat attractive. Burn and draw were impeccable. I found the flavor to be non-existent. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Zero. I am a medium to full flavor cigar smoker. I remember smoking one of these about 4-5 years ago and it was heavenly....What's up with this? Have I killed that many taste buds? This stick had been in my box for at least a year. Either they don't age well or I got a bad stick. I'll rate value based upon $7.

I should just copy my review of the Classic here so I don't have to type this one here lol. Smoke both of them this weekend and loved them both equally. What fantastic smokes. Perfect construction and great flavor. These are to me the most relaxing smoke made out there. Lots of anis taste in this smoke, with a bunch of other flavors in there to. One fine smoke, Well aged and mellow Fuente Hemmingway's are a class smoke.

"Go-To Favorite"
Although I still consider myself a neophyte smoker, quality can't hide. The Hemingway Signature is one of my favorite cigars. Always a pleaser, with a nutty, mellow, ever so subtle sweet undertone to it. Not too light, not too strong, it can hold its own alone, with a beverage, or even after a big meal - the flavor never gets lost. Great stuff. No matter how many different cigars I try, this one never fails to impress. I only rated it a bit lower on 'value', because they tend to be a bit pricey, likely due to high demand for this fine cigar.

This is top notch, great taste and a smooth easy draw. The burn was a little crooked, but it corrected itself about halfway. Icehog3's comment about anise was right on the mark. Pretty cigar like all the Hemingways, lit perfect, drew perfect and burned perfect. This one had an overwhelming flavor of anise about 1/3 of the way through, not unpleasant al all since I like the flavor. I have tasted hints of anise in cigars before but nothing like this. "Not quite convinced"
I fired up a Hemi-Sig on Christmas Eve while sitting around a toasty bonfire. The burn was great. The draw was great. The ash was great, even kept the little pointy shape. But the taste was unremarkable. Maybe the smoke from the fire interferred with the smoke from the cigar. The last third of the stick got real hot, almost unsmokeable. While the taste was bland, the cigar gave me a walloping nicotine buzz, which I don't like. At $11, I will reserve it for special occasions and only when I'm not driving.

"Packed with flavor"
Like all Hemingways this is a a beautifully crafted perfecto; I've had an occasional problem with the wrapper unravelling, so handle these carefullly and keep the band on. Once the burn gets past the pointed foot, the draw opens up nicely and the burn eventually even out. It's very robust, with wood, red pepper, and the distinctive Hemingway graham cracker taste; flavors seem a bit too intense and could benefit from additional aging. A good smoke now with better potential.

"What we have here..."
is a bunch of gullable cigar smokers who are afraid to tell the truth. Somehow they heard that Fuente is the best so they decided the scores should be higher, even though they probably didn't really enjoy it that much. It's time to open the minds of these poor chaps and perhaps, chapettes. Construction, burn, appearance, and ash get a B. Taste, however gets a C-. There is nothing spectacular about this cigar. The flavor just doesn't reach the level of hype surrounding this brand. It's smoooth and consistent and BORING! Whoopie! I just wasted $8 bucks on an average stick. Look at me, I'm smoking a Fuente. How cool am I?

"Ditto"
Have to agree with the rest of the reviews here-- it's a fine cigar, but there are other cigars that are just as good for a lot less dinero. It's a nutty, smooth and consistent smoke -- though I have to admit that over the years my tastes have turned to the spicier smokes, so I don't like this one as much as I used to. It does have some spice, light kitchen spices that are certainly pleasant but lack kick. Try the Carlos Torano cameroon line for comparison-- your wallet will thank you.

The draw was near perfect; The flavor was incredible; Burn was a little off in the beg. but corrected itself. The Sig also produced a huge volume of smoke. I should note that it's been resting in my humi for over a year. It's funny that the CAO L'Anni. Robusto is rated in the top 25 in CA Mag yet the quality of the Sig was levels above. "Wonderful"
That's the only word to describe it. Tapered end makes getting an even burn a cinch. Wrapper taste is plesant to begin, but filler comes through as you smoke through the cigar. Taste reminded me of a strong glass of unsweetened tea, not at all strong with a pleasant aftertaste. Went out at two inches, but probably more my fault. A friend recommended, even though I'm a fan of the stronger cigars. This was a change of pace I'm appreciative for being exposed to. I plan to buy a box to let age when I can afford it.

"Good Stuff"
Another great vitola in the Hemingway series. An attractive tawny brown wrapper with minimal veins and sweet prelight aroma. No soft spots. Easy light, especially with the tapered foot. Slightly firm draw until the taper eased out into the full girth of the cigar, then became silky smooth. The burn was razor sharp and never needed correction. Tons of billowy white smoke and a marbled gray ash. Started with cedar and mild dry nuts and intensified slightly in the middle third. A floral note seemed to dance in and out throughout the 1.5 hour experience, but never remained constant. Finished to the nub. All in all, this is a mild-medium bodied smoke that is superbly constructed and thoroughly enjoyable, at least to my palatte. Will be a regular in my rotation for sure. Paired well with single malt scotch, but would go well with just about anything, in my opinion...

Pure enjoyment. I enjoyed one of these under the stars with a single malt on my patio after a long day at the office. To me, a good smoke is less about the palate nuances and more about enhancing the occasion. Simply outstanding in every way. Buy a box...you won't be disappointed.

"Impressed...disappointed...impressed"
I was really, really impressed with this cigar initially. It's a gorgeous cigar, beautifully built. Nice Cameroon wrapper. Seems like a lot of LLG's really enjoy this cigar so I thought I'd go ahead and try one--even though it's a little beyond what I would typically pay for a single.

Lit perfectly, draws like a charm...the first thing I noticed is that it doesn't have the "Fuente" taste. I don't know how to explain it, but to me, all of Fuente lines have a very particular taste to them. It was a delicious smoke--to start.

The middle third of this brought about a change of flavor in this cigar. It became somewhat of a bland smoke...just nothing to be impressed with. Draw was still great...flavor seemed to go out.

Third half the flavor returned and it was really enjoyable--until the wrapper split and started coming apart. I had to finish this cigar without the wrapper leaf, using only the binder. Was ugly, but still tasty--but for 8.00 a stick, I would expect better construction.

All in all, I think this is a very good cigar. If you are looking for value, however, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

"Nice one"
I had this one tonight and was quite impressed. Great construction, perfect burn, loads of smoke, great taste, medium body. I had a couple of wrapper cracks as I smoked but I attribute this to a week only in my humi. Great smooth medium body and taste I find in habanos. I'll definately buy more.

"Not Fuente's best"
Medium boddied, with a solid toasty character that was a little bit harsh and spicy that was hard to really pick out. The ash was dirty and flaky. The draw was smooth, but the burn was very uneven due to the shaped foot of the cigar. The wrapper rough and the cap was well made. The flavor ws nicely refined, but I was hoping for better flavor since I had to sit out in the cold to smoke it.

"my 'regular' smoke"
I always have a couple of cases on hand aging nicely in my humidor. I like the sweetness of this smoke...never overpowering and goes great with some tea. Always smooth, consistent draw, construction, even burn and it just gets better with age.

Good cigar with great construction, good burn but you need to take care of these babies, any time to dry out a little bit and the wrapper is jumping off. Mild but flavorfull and good to the nicotine nub!

"A first rate cigar"
Tasty pre light draw. Easy lighting due to the tapering foot. Lots of smoke, smooth, easy draw. Medium body. Sweet wrapper but not as sweet as a Baccarat (thank God). Builds in flavor to the end. I nubbed it 'till it burnt my fingers. Excellent!

Good medium bodied cigar. Draw was a little tight but not hernia level. Just received a sample pack today and enjoyed one on the ride home. The others are going to have a nice 2-3 month humidor nap before they get burned.

Good cigar. Construction was good and burn was perfect. Excellent sweet aroma. Sweet tasting wrapper—almost like it had been artificially sweetened. Good medium body smoke but a bit too leathery and slightly bitter. Finish was very good.

A good hardy smoke with plenty of flavor, well made, and a good firm ash.
The draw was decent, and plenty of smoke. Hard to say anything disfavorable about this Line, except it is somewhat overrated and difficult to find due to low production and a present favorite.
