"Great Holiday smoke"
Loved the sweet richness of the maduro. Consistent flavors throughout, more interesting than most of the maduros I've smoked. Nice ash, and even burn. This one was only in the humidor for a week. Went back today and bought 3 more to sit on for a while.

"Nice, special smoke"
I love the ceremony of lighting a Hemingway. The flame from the match tickled the foot, and soon the small cherry at the end of the tiny tip steadily grew to encompass the bulbous foot. The draw opened nicely and rapidly allowed the smoke, and flavor, to pour through. I held the stick up to the sun and caught the majestic glistening of thousands of microscopic crystals clinging to the black background of the maduro wrapper. This was not a strong cigar, but it was quite flavorful with hints of wax and varnish intertwining with damp oak leaves. A dark variegated grey ash shot through with tan highlights grew at a predictable pace and held the unmistakable perfecto shape for the first two inches before falling to reveal a small orange coal. The cigar had a lovely rich aroma redolent of juniper and tea leaves.

"Nice perfecto"
Very dark, almost black wrap. Dry cocoa with hints of pepper. They have a sweetness to them when fresh, that diminishes with age.

"Enjoyable and I want more"
Had this smoke following a Perdomo Lot 23 and couldn't help but compare. Maybe it was the shape or size but just a much more enjoyable smoke. Easy light, good burn, very flavorful. I'm a newbie so I can't quite describe the flavors. I'll buy this one again and in multiples to have around.

"A True Classic"
A great medium bodied cigar. Starts out mild with a great aroma and rich flavor that builds as you smoke it. A little to timid for my taste but a great relaxing smoke. One of the better smokes in this price range.

"Buy a box"
My Hemmingway Signature came in the 2005 Fuente Holiday Collection. This is a great smoke. With a near perfect burn and light grey to white ash, it drew like a straw. This medium to full bodied cigar tasted great too. The smoke was creamy and rich and the aroma tempted me to smoke faster. I refrained. I consumed the second of the two Signatures in my collection and proceeded to buy a box. The Hemmingway Signature smokes best with 2-6 months in your humidor. Impressive.

"A. Fuentes Hemingway Signature Maduro"
These cigars are a recent purchase, and have only been in my humi., about one week. A very nice perfecto, with a very dark, not quite oscuro maduro wrapper with no large veins, or other imperfections. This cigar is nicely firm to the touch, with no knots or soft spots. Prelight aroma is leathery, with a hint of spice. I clip the foot with my cheap double blade cutter, and toast the foot, with a cbid match, then light it with a second cbid match.

A nicely firm draw releases a cloud of fragrant blue smoke, with a base of rich leather and light spice overtones. Much like it’s cameroon wrapper brother, this cigar has a classic hemingway flavor profile, but with an added richness provided by the conn. Broadleaf wrapper. A slightly uneven burn, at the start, typical of a nipple tipped perfecto, but I expect it will even out, once the cigar burns past the tip. Very creamy, leathery, almost chewy smoke, with a touch of nutmeg to start the show. At the ½” mark, the burn has self corrected, the draw has opened up, and this cigar comes into its’ own. The leather flavor seems to rise above the creamyness and becomes the most dominant flavor, at about the 1” mark, but it continues to have a nice spicy finish, with added notes of anise. The flavors seem to get much more complex, at the midway point, with the cigar alternating between leather and creamy, with the flavors of Anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg fighting for dominance, and a touch of black pepper makes its’ first appearance. Each puff releases a different flavor, and it really is very different with each draw. But each and every puff has a nice hint of sweetness, from the wrapper.

The very firm light gray ash, fell a little past midway, and stayed relatively intact, after bouncing off my lap, onto the floor. A true testament to the quality construction of this cigar. The flavors just kept getting more complex, all the way to the nub, leaving me with a pleasantly tingling palate, and a super long finish. I am still tasting the spice, 45 minutes after I nubbed this cigar. I give this stick, a rating of 4.45, on a 5 point scale, due to excellent construction, superior taste and complexity. I realize that these are hard to come by, but I heartily recommend searching out and trying this wonderful limited production stick. Enjoy.

"Heminway is always a classic"
A wonderful smoke. My box arrived a little dry, but once my humidor brought them back to the right moisture level this cigar has become a favorite. Slightly more powerful than the Short Story version (which was the first Hemingway I'd ever tried), but an absolute delight throughout.

"Much better than the cameroon wrappers"
I like the Hemingway cameroon taste but have often been disappointed with the wrappers falling apart. I have never had the same experience with the few maduros that I've smoked. These are much harder for me to find than the cameroons but are a much better smoke IMO.

"Smooth, Amazing, Damn near perfect"
Never a dissappointment with Fuente. The flavors I taste almost anytime with any Fuente almost seem supernatural. Sometimes I wonder how a cigar can taste so good. Super smooth, great draw, with hints of dark chocolate at the end. On top of that these cigars make you feel nice and classy.

"Rare indeed"
One should make every effort to find one of these, usually available once a year in limited release, because of the rarity and quality of the cigar. Like the regular Hemingway, these are balanced and delightful. Also, they should be smoked right away to get the maximum flavor from the blend. Delicious.

IMO this is a great cigar and the one i keep coming back to as
my favorite smoke. It is the cigar that i use as a
comparison for others that I've tried. Granted the wrapper is
veiny and not the prettiest in the world
but then who smokes looks. Con
