"I love this stick!"
I love the shape as well though. I had a beautiful white ash that did not break until the very last 1/4 of the cigar. The draw was great, their were no major flaws...some veins. I got it for a great price though. If you can find it...store it....then savor it!

"Work of Art Indeed!"
What a great stick! A buddy picked up a pair Father's Day 2007 and was generous enough to share by the pool last night. Both were beautiful aesthetically with a pretty and oily black wrapper with very little veins. The pre-light draw was enough to make us drool and it just got better after firing them up. A perfect performance with a balanced draw and razor sharp burn which is a testament to the Torcedores since this is a difficult shape to roll. We each lost only two ashes each on these knuckle burners. Medium to full with wonderful depth and balance to the fat and chewy smoke. It has the traditional Hemingway flavor layered within a much more full and round smoke with billows following every pull. A first class smoke all the way. These are really hard to come by so if you find them indulge yourself; you will not regret it.

"Stout"
This is a bulldog that deserves best in class. I have not always felt that Arturo's cigars deserve the hype they get, but this one does. It look great and feels solid in the hand. The burn is perfect and the draw floows suit. The flavors are medium oak and nuts. Smooth as can be and no harshness to be found. Woth the price for a premium smoke.

"Strong and Consistent Performer"
Superbly constructed with oscuro wrapper and no soft spots. Pre-light aroma of cedar and alfalfa. Uneven burn with slightly tight draw for first inch and perfect thereafter. Ash is light gray and firm. Medium to full bodied flavors including black pepper, nuts, leather and earth. A creamy texture in spots but not throughout. A complex smoke that will hold its own following a large meal and with one's favorite whiskey.

"Good cigar, but stick with the standard Hemis"
These are gorgeous, perfecto cigars. Construction, appearance and draw were all what you would expect from Fuente. However, having smoked my first of the maduros last week, I have to say that I am disappointed in the flavor. Since these cost more than their standard Hemingway counterparts with Cameroon wrappers, I was expecting an improvement in taste. I was disappointed. However, I shoudl acknowledge that the Best Sellers are my favorite everyday smoke, so perhaps I was expecting too much. Anyway, I know that these have received good reviews so far, but I found the flavor to be harsh and just OK. If you want to try something interesting in a Fuente maduro, go to the other end of their scale and try their Flor de Ybor City in a #85 maduro. Those are the best $3 smokes I have ever encountered.

"Great Cigar"
I just finished my first Hemingway of this size and what a great cigar it was. The perfecto shape is very well done with a nice bulbous foot that tapers into a well capped head. It opened up rather potent but after the burn surface widened out the cigar mellowed a bit. Ample amounts of creamy smooth smoke with leather and chocolate on the finish. The last inch or so has some spice to it. The burn needed one touch up at the beginning but that seems to be normal for perfectos. A fantastic cigar and my new favorite from the Hemingway line.

"Brilliant!"
Lights easily with an easy draw. It tends to burn unevenly at first, but evens out with a little coaxing. The initial flavors are nutty with a sweet char. The finish is very short with a mild and clean aftertaste. The aroma becomes woodier as the burn progresses and has a syrupy, molasses-like tinge to it. For the first couple of inches this is a very easygoing medium-bodied smoke. The “sweet spot” is just at the mid-point where the flavor gets meatier, turning from smooth nutty flavors to smatterings of earth and black pepper. The aroma at this point is potently perfumey, sweet and musky. The flavors get gradually darker as the cigar comes to a close. The finish grows to a spicy bite and finally signals the end with a dirty bitterness. A fantastic maduro. One of the best out there.

"Big smoke from a small cigar"
What a great little cigar. Massive volumes of spicy smoke marred only by a slight irregular burn.

"Great quickie"
About 45 minutes. Started a little slow with a slight metallic flavor. Second third picked up some body, and the last third was more full bodied. Dry cocoa and coffe flavors. Great draw and burn. Ash didn't drop thil halfway down.

"Heck of a cigar"
I let this thing sit well over a year, and only pulled it out because, along with the beginnings of plume, I saw a slight bit of mold beginning to form around the foot (nipple) of this cigar. I removed that mold, clipped it, and lit 'er up after a greasy burger. At first, I was ticked off, b/c the draw was so tight. After clipping a bit more, it really opened up and I was rewared with TONS of thick, blue smoke. Coffee and chocolate predominate, but leather sneaks in towards the end. This thing smokes and burns like a dream. Highly recommended.

"The flavor is a work of art"
A buddy gifted this to me a few months ago. I have had quite a few of these before and love them, I just don't remember them tasting as good as this one. Nice mild spice with heavy coffee flavor. The appearance was something of another story. While the shape is interesting the wrapper was a little blothy and had veggie glue from the band all over it. If they were to pick a pretty wrapper this would give it that much more appeal.

"Not bad for what you get"
A mild first third evolved into a medium bodied 2nd third while saving the best and full bodied part for last.Definite cocoa and black pepper traits.Draw was not excellent but adequate. Nubbed it but would stick to the natural Hemingways.

"Too Short"
AF sticks are probably my favorite smoke, but this one is too short. It started a little woodsy, but by the time it got to the normal Hemingway flavor it was almost gone. The construction was excellent, as this little stick burned perfectly and held an ash almost to the end (I flicked it for fear of having it fall on my nylon Raider jacket or it may have made it all the way to the nub). In addition to the burn, the draw was great. Since I prefer longer sticks, I don't think I'll be buying anymore of these.

"I fell in love"
I fell in love! I got a box 3 days ago. I usually let me new arrivals sit for a few weeks but I couldn't wait. I took one out and brought it to a cigar lounge with a bunch of other guys. They were all smoking ISOMs.
I pulled it out of the wrapper and you can't help but appreciate the beauty. Nice deep dark color, a very smart looking perfecto. I took a sniff and it gave a woody aroma.
I gently toasted the foot (or in this case, the little toe), I felt I had to coax it like a first date. the draw was a little hard for a few puff but once it got going (like a very nice date), it released what its made of! sweet, mildly spicy flavor that did not overwhelm you. The smoke was rich and full. The burn was consistent and the ash---oh the ash became a point of conversation. I had it going well beyond 2.5 inches before it collapsed unceremoniously on the floor. I smoked it till almost 1/2 inch to the nub then I had to let go. I know I still have 24 sticks left but I have my eyes open for another box!

"Hmmmmm"
Nicely rolled, adequate construction, taste was good .... not great, not excellent, just good. Why people get excited about these is beyone me. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with these, but if my local had them at list I wouldn't buy any.

"My new Hemingway favorite"
Up until this one, my favorite Hemingway was the Short Story. But after smoking the WOAM, all bets are off. A rich smoke with a lot of character. It was a beautiful stick and it burned very well. Loved every second of it.

I had been saving this one for seven months. After all I had heard about it, I knew I would be disappointed. While it was up to the usual Fuente standards, it had no flavor and lacked any character.
