"Good but expensive"
This was my first Ashton. I was initially a little turned off at the price. I normally smoke maduros but after having a Monte White, I've been trying milder cigars more often. Picked this up on a suggestion of a B&M employee. I really liked it. Smooth looking wrapper, draw and burn were perfect the whole way. A creamy, nutty smoke. Picked up a hint of spice half way. While not as full in flavor as the Monte White, it was still a great mild cigar.

"Like most Ashtons - pricey but good"
This corona has a lightly colored and fragile wrapper so handle it carefully. The draw and burn are both very good. It's a smooth and creamy smoke with bready and vanilla flavors with a pleasant light spiciness that leads onto the finish. Definitely not strong but I would classify it as more towards medium than mild. Rather expensive, but with the Ashton label that should come as no surprise. Good choice for first smoke of the day, or with coffee.

"Uneven Burn"
I enjoy a mild smoke, and Ashton Coronas are among my favorite smoke. What I've found though is that an awful lot of them burn unevenly, to the point I need to use a lighter to even out the burn. For what these sticks sell for, they should burn better.

"Good Cigar with Unique Flavor"
Ashton's are a must try for their unique flavor. This one is a standard line and certainly not in the class of the VSG's but nonetheless very good. A very clean burning smoke and smooth to the core.

"Still a winner"
I smoke a ton of full-bodied fare, with JdNAs, La Flor Double Ligeros, Cuban Bolivars and the like among my favorites. And yet, I still enjoy many cigars in the mild genre. A good CT Shade will not be in your face, but it should have a creamy, sweet and nutty profile with decent manners. The Ashton Corona still does it for me. Sure, I wish it were less expensive, and there are others that are cheaper and probably as good. But just on its own merits, and without the issue of expense, it remains a classic easy-going beauty that rarely disappoints for its intended purpose...mild, tasty and botherfree smoking.

"Too mild for me"
I started off smoking Montecristos and have graduated to fuller bodied smokes. Recently, I decided I wanted to pick up some milder smokes as a change of pace. I found a few good ones, such as the Aurora 1495, but also picked up one of these. I tried it the other night and was throughly unimpressed. It produced a lot of smoke and had a slight cirtusy tang, but had too little flavor to me. If I'm spending $5-10 on a smoke, I want flavor.. not air. If you're into mild smokes, this might be up your alley, but it wasn't for me. The Aurora 1495 has way more flavor and is less expensive.

"Toasty and Tasty"
My favourite smoke. Most flavourful mild cigar I ever had. Creamy toasted nut tastes. Great draw and construction but burns a bit unevenly at times. Will buy my second box soon.

"Smooth and Creamy"
This is absolutely my favorite cigar. In my review journal I described it as "smooth and creamy." It is very mild, but very relaxing at the same time. If you're looking for a lot of flavor, try one of Ashton's Aged Maduros. However, if you're looking for a really smooth cigar with lots of smoke, this is hands down the best one you will find.

"Creamy"
If you like a cigar to just enjoy while reading the paper or lying in the hammock this might be it. Mild cigar that is easy to smoke. Silky smooth creaminess

"Great Cigar!"
I bought a couple of these and a friend smoked one with me. We both agreed that this was one of the better smokes we had had in a long time. The flavor was mild, but that is not a problem for me. The only drawback we found was in the price. Not something I would get often, but would always try to have one in the humidor for a special occasion.

"Ashton consistancy"
You know if I could afford to smoke any of the Ashton line on a regular basis I would and this would be my daily smoke. For their basic line, which still runs about $6 a cigar, its a fabulous smoke, just as good as their cabnet series. Consistant good burn with a creamy taste just like their entire line that you will smoke all the way to the end

Very nice cigar! One of my favorites. smooth and creamy texture. My friend was smoking a A. Fuente, looked at me smoking my Ashton, says, I can just see that's a damn good cigar! Very enjoyable.

The smell was great and the taste a little bland. After some fun with my girlfriend the smell was bad and the taste was great.

"Freebie"
Received as a GWP at Holt's last Nov. My value rating reflects if I had paid full price. Excellent construction and burn-no surprise with Ashton. Second half of cigar better than the first. Mild leading to medium body with a little more spice as the cigar burned down. Worth a try.

"very average"
Although this cigar is mechanically excellent, I found it to be very average in taste. Toward the end this cigar became very harsh.

Really enjoyed this one. Excellent construction, slow burn, and nice ash. Mild but tasty smoke with not a bit of harshness. Smooth finish. A winner but a bit pricey

Smooth smoking corona that was well refined and a mild delight. A typical Ashton. It tasted of toast and brown sugar.

"Too Lite for My Taste."
The cigar was a tad too firm, which I thought was why this stogie was too mild. Well constructed with a nice appearing wrapper. That is all I can say about this cigar that is positive. Have two in the "dor," which I hope will improve with age

Strong and spicy is the best descripting of this cigar. A powerhouse of a smoke with very complex, full flavors. Not for the beginner. Grab your favorite beverage, turn on some music, be seated and enjoy.
