"overpriced"
While not a bad cigar, not worth the super-premium $. Very smooth and creamy but not much flavor. Aroma was good, but not great. Burn average with some correcting necessary. Strength medium to strong. Finish short. Value short.

"One Great Cigar!"
I was gifted this 80th Anni Belicoso about two months ago and I finally got around to smoking it this afternoon. Very well made, with a dark wrapper and very solid. The draw was near perfect, however the burn was a bit off all the way, requiring several corrections. This turned out to be a mild/med cigar with respect to strength. The flavor profile was medium, offering a rich leathery, woody, creamy profile. Into the middle and final third, a nice mild peppery spice kicked in, and distinct hints of cocoa, as well. This was a dam good smoke. The after taste lasted for hours. I need to get me some of these!

"A different cigar?"
I bought a box of AVO 80th anniversary TORPEDOS about a year ago. These cigars are absolutely one of the best around, They have leather, pepper & cream through & through whith a bite of cinamon at the front end. This is not just my opinion but also that of several friends who are very pleasntly surprised when they have smoked the torpedoes produced in late 2006, early 2007.
I am going too buy another box too restock the humidors.

"Extremly Overpriced and Overrated"
Absolutely horrible construction. The wrapper fell part halfway. I emailed AVO about my problems and received no response. Terrible.

"Not impressed"
I let it go out half way because I was not enjoying it. The wrapper was coming apart and not alot of distinct flavour profile. I would not recommend this one. I took it apart and found the filler to be quite scrappy. Disappointed.

"Eh...not worth the $15.00"
I got this as a gift, and I was not impressed with the stick. Construction and appearance were great...this cigar takes the hits in the flavor and value categories. Flavor was creamy and mild, but with an overwhelming grassy/hay flavor that really didn't help and only detracted from the flavor. This, plus the $15 pricetag, make this one that is not worth the money. At $6, great deal. At $15? Highway robbery.

"really nice, again value is just not there!"
pretty much same story as most reviewers... great smoke, construction, VERY creamy, BUT just too expensive. there is also a slight slight grassy taste which wasnt that great, and i cant believe these arent aged yet. so, even though i got a 5-pack for 12 each, i wouldn't buy these again unless i found them for no more than 9 bucks each.

"Mild but interesting flavors"
As boonedoggle advised, this is a good morning cigar, relatively mild although the nicotine seemed to pick up near the end. Tightly rolled but very smokable, I had to give it a couple touch-ups early but then it burned like a champ. Lots of smoke thanks to a wide cut I gave the torpedo head. A few flavor changes, but the overwhelming flavor for me was black cherry...very unusual, but pleasant flavors. Not my every day cup of tea, but a nice change of pace. Many cigars I would choose first for the price though.

"Nice MORNING cigar"
Prelight was very nice and I noticed immediatly afterwards, she had a perfect draw, as I've come to love about all AVOs. The first draw was a kick in the mouth. I believe these are mild, but those first few draws were very spicy. She settled down quickly and I soon discovered an array of different flavors. It reminded me of a weak cup of coffee in the morning with lots of cream.
Halfway through, I began to sense the taste of caramel. The peculiar thing was after each draw, my mouth was extremely watery and tingly. I've rarely sensed that with a cigar.
The burn was perfect and the smoke was thick and white. I set her down around band lenght because I felt this was getting too bitter for my tastes...at the end anyways.
I guess I was expecting more, but I have been smoking more full maduro's lately, and this one just didn't fit the bill. As with the Classic AVOs, I deem this a very good cigar with coffee in the morning.
Overall, I prefer the Domain's over the 80s, but still thing this is a very good cigar...just pick the time of day when you smoke her!

"Not much to this one"
Saw the cigar it had the look of the winner but my hopes were dashed once I lit this beauty up. This cigar is a very mild smooth drawing stogie. Well made excellent construction even burn nice draw. This cigar is lacking in any complexity or flavor. If what you want is an extremely mild cigar you will love this one. If you like a medium to full body cigar do not look here.

"Pleasant taste"
Smoked 2 of these not long ago and both were very pleasant smokes. Very nice and easy going flavors, great construction and very even burn. Too expensive for me to even consider buying a whole box when I can get cubans at la lot ess with better flavors.

"Good Smoke"
Awesome construction. Lots of smoke. I ordered these off the internet and paid $5.00 more then the MSRP. No problem, it was worth it. This one had flavors of cream/nuts and worked into some pepper flavors. It was good, but not worth the $$$$. Maybe worth $10.
