Just a strong cigar. No "wow". One dimensional flavor.

"Testing, Testing...1, 2..."
...3. My Camacho SLR robusto soundcheck was a good one. A little spicy (hits the back of the throat, depending on your physical state). Good construction. Solid draw. Won't make my "heavy rotation"...but a good smoke. My local tobacconist hooked me up with a sampler pack at a golf outing...and this was inside. I was pleased...but i am not sure that I would buy them again.

"Very Good Maduro"
I'm a fan of Camacho. While I am not a big maduro smoker (I burned myself out on them when I first started smoking cigars) I ended up with these as 2 came in the Camacho mega-sampler I had won. The first thing I noticed was the absolutely perfect construction and burn/draw. Nothing is more satisfying than a properly constructed stick that draws well. After about an inch the SLR started to convey a nice spicy/nuttiness. Nothing overwhelming, just a well rounded enjoyable experience all the way to the nub. While I don't intend to get back into Maduro's big time again, i will bid on a 5-pack or two of these just for the change of pace from my current Corojo kick.

"Even better"
This is getting closer to a 10 than I like to admit. Really, if there were 1-2 bucks each..they just might be. If you smoke them right out of the box, they are great...if you give them a year in the humi..they are freaktastick! Strength with deep dark flavor.

Love em.

"Macho Camacho"
This is my first foray into the Camacho brand and it was a pleasant surprise. Good build quality...solid construction...nice wrapper. Nice, medium bodied smoke...balanced, leather and cream with a finish of nuts and earthy tones. Smooth overall...not too in your face. A very good cigar...I have a few more in the humi...I am looking forward to Round 2.

"packs a punch"
The cigar loooked very good - no noticeable veins; good construction.

Pre-light, the cigar smelled very strong - heavy tobacco smell and a very spicy draw.

Upon lighting, the cigar had a very spicy taste, heavy white pepper. This almost vanishe about 1" into the cigar, and a strong French roast coffee, earth taste with just the slightest hint of vnilla occasionally. This continued until about 2" from teh end when the cigar got spicier and some black pepper notes added.

The smoke was very potent, and the volume was medium. the cigar had a high nicotine content, and packed quite a buzz. Most certainly a full-bodied smoke; not for the unexperienced or weak, certainly.

I don't know that I would smoke this on a regular basis, but it was ok.

"Kinda Yukky"
As the ASHMAN sayeth, it is so. Not too great - bitter and just a poor cigar in general. For the record, aging does not help. I had ten of these sitting for months and finally threw 7 of them away. This is, by far, the worst cigar I've tried from the Camacho line. What a let down too 'cuz me luv to smoke Honduran! Oh well, as long as the Corojo & Havana lines stay the same I'll be happy.

"Sneaky strong"
A very well made smooth tasting cigar. Nice burn throughout with a easy draw. I fired this puppy up without the benefit of a full stomach. It didn't taste strong but about half way through, I found out different. A pack of sugar and a coke cured that. Flavor had some pepper and maybe leather. Ones I've had since have been with a full stomach, eat something before you smoke one these. Good cigar IMHO.

"Well made and always consistant"
Like these when I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for. Well made with always a perfect draw and burn. Lots of flavorful smoke if you like a hearty smoke. Hits me with hints of cedar on the dry side. Good everyday smoke.

"A little Bad*ss"
This smoke starts out quiet but speaks volumes very quickly. It's a strong earthy smoke. More refined and less intense than the COROJO but you still know it's a Camacho. If you need a nice quick powerhouse, this is a decent choice.

"A Manly Cigar"
My first one had a super draw and the flavor was nice, but not complex enough for me. Don't get me wrong, I would not kick it out of bed. For me this is a good after lunch skoke but not one I would sit back and relax with.

"I used to like the old SLR"
This is nothing like them. I smoked one of these next to an original SLR and the original blend was fuller and had more subtle flavors. This cigar was strong, no doubt, but had very little complexity and none of the spice of its cousin.

"Macho Camacho"
This cigar has some interesting cousins (Morro Castle and Baccarat), but certainly has enough personality of its own. There seems to be vastly differing flavor reception from various smokers. I got flavors of leather most of the way, and a slightly steely finale. It produces a very full smoke and an even temperature from the effortless draw. For those of you who have the habit of leaving the label on as you smoke, this one has a very classic-style band. Additionally, it was reported to me that my clothing did not stink following the enjoyment of this pleasant puff. Unfortunately, the strong fragrance of bourbon on my breath was not met with the same degree of forgiveness. The Camacho is perhaps the most pleasing from the Eiroa Family... it is a great straight-forward cigar, and can be enjoyed equally whether you give it calm dedication and attention, or are experiencing severe nagging. If you rarely receive nagging, showing up with bourbon on your breath is a sure cure. If you are nagged too often, I recommend the same cure.

"Wasted time...wasted money"
I don't know. I was very disappointed. This cigar was so tasteless to me that I had to get rid of it about halfway through. I feel bad being the only negative review thusfar. I couldn't keep it lit. The cigar didn't taste like leather, spice, coffee...anything. Tasted like a mouthfull of smoke. Flavorless smoke. Maybe my palette isn't as refined as the other reviewers, but I did not like this one...sad thing is I bought 6 of them.

"Where's the fuerte?"
My 1st one & 1st cigar of the day. A very well made smoke, w/a smooth, silky delivery. Billed as full bodied, but it's one of those that is smooth enough to fool you into thinking it's milder than it is. Nice tight ash. Some peppery flavor & a sweetly floral tone cavorts in the nose. A lightly toasty finish. Nice!

"Good But Overated Stogie"
I received a Camacho SLR as part of a sampler pack and I found it to be underwhelming. The burn was slightly uneven and the taste was overly acidic.

The Rothschild (actually 4.5x50) did have an excellent draw, was extremely smokey, and burned slowly.

"Not bad"
Cigar had a peppery, dry taste to it. Provided a nice straight burn the full length. On the full side of medium. I think this was actually a 4.5 x 50 size. A stout little smoke indeed!

"Camacho SLR Robusto"
I have always been a fan of Camacho, I perfer a full flavored cigar. I recently purchased a SLR robusto, the first one of this particular line, to test it out. I must tell you that this little cigar packs a big punch. The constuction was smooth and well made, as with most of the Camacho brand. The Cigar was a very full flavor, with a leather and spice, and a hint of coffee. Half way thru this stogie, I was already getting ready to by a box. I highly recomend it.
