"Mighty Fine Smoke"
I only rested this cigar for 3 days after it arrived. A very nice looking cigar, that also seems well made. The flavor is creamy and nutty, it burned well and produced ample smoke. It was mild and demanded little from me. My only minor complaint was it lacked complexity. That should improve with age. I'll try to leave the others alone for a few months and see how they improve. Recommended for all but those who demand a very full cigar.

"Great smoke"
Mild and smooth with ample flavor. Lots of smoke and easy draw. Well packed. I have only had one (so far) but this could become a favorite

"Crackle and Pop"
Got this gar as part of Ci's prem sampler. First smoked it at a bar along with some brew and didnt really get a good judge of it then. Smoked the second one during a quiet morning with a cup of hot chocolate and man do I regret wasting the first one. This cigar is meant to be slowly enjoyed like a lap dance while listening to Iron Butterfly. Smooth as silk despite being med bodied, I dont quite think this bad boy is as full as the Italia. Very even burn and very very smooth and even ash. Incredibly easy draw. Only complaint was the construction. This bad boy came packaged in cedar and the end was already cracking even though it had been in my humidor the whole time. I punch cut this bad boy buy still had to overcome the flaking. Near perfect gar and recently added to my top 5.

"plesant suprise"
Perfect draw, a surprise after my last CAO. Last one was an Italia Gondola and the draw was pathetic. Got a couple of these in a sampler from CI and was not too excited about them. I smoked one today and was very pleased with it. It did have 1 very distinct vein in the wrapper, as well as some other cosmetic problems. I had to fix the burn once, but other than that the burn was fine. For those who have not tried this cigar, it is worth a shot. It has some very nice flavors to it, and was more complex than I expected. Had a nice mix of earthy, leathery, and coffee flavors to it with a bit of woodiness as well. Normally I am not a fan of anything longer than a single corona, 6", but this was great.

"Its complicated...."
The first 2 I smoked were GREAT! I told my friends I had a new non-Cuban favorite. Then....they went downhill. Each cigar had a black, charcoal like 'marble' in the middle. The only way to get past it was to chop off an inch of the cigar! When these are good, they are a 10....but when they have pieces of charcoal (resembling) in them they are no good.

"First Black"
I have been sitting on a box of these and Man O Wars since I started smoking cigars 3 months ago. I must say that this is a nice smoke, light to medium bodied but full flavored. They are packaged nice but don't look as good out of the cedar. The unlit draw was a little fruity. Nice burn and a great draw produces volumns of smoke. I think these will make a great smoke share with family and friends that only smoke on occasion.

"CAO at there best"
I get these from Cigarbid and are of my favorites to get from them. Great draw and burn's consistently with a nice ash. They have a creamy vanilla taste with a hint of cider as well. Maybe one of the best that CAO has to offer and being a fan of CAO that's saying allot

"Ditto"
I agree almost completely with the previous review from Boston_Dude--except that my numerical ratings are lower. This is a good-looking cigar that I really looked forward to trying, but it ends up being too mild to the point of being boring. It's a smooth and fairly sophisticated smoke (one critique: the ash is pretty flaky, but it does hold up fine), but the flavor is nothing to write home about. And it looks nice in the humidor, but when you take off the nice cedar sleeve, you notice that it's fairly veiny.

"Decent Mild Cigar"
Construction of this cigar is top notch. Smooth wrapper and cuts easily. Looks great. Taste it starts off excellent with a blast of spices that made my mouth tingle, and lots of earthiness. I really liked the flavor profile of the first few draws. However, then it really turned into a mild cigar with light coffee, grassiness and generally smooth draw. Didn't leave much earthiness on my palate that I really liked early on. I was hoping it would return but it didn't and it became a mild cigar the rest of the way with varying degrees of coffee, leather, and tones of grassiness throughout. The burn was even and produced a decent solid ash. Draw was loose early on with med amounts of smoke. Draw got tighter as it smoked and later produced much more smoke. Overall the taste was too mild for me.

"Ignore the abstract expressionist packaging."
I don't have much to add to what's already been said. Took a chance on these and scored a box on Cbid; it turned out to be one of my better gambles! Classy, well made, excellent burn even on a windy day. Easy draw and lots of smoke. Not a powerhouse by any means, but nonetheless far more flavorful and complex than the Gold. While my personal preference among CAOs is still the Brazilia Amazon, I have to say the this Black Frontier is CAO's best overall effort. It's hard to imagine any cigar fan not enjoying this great cigar.
As for the box; yeah, it's a nice tribute to Jackson Pollock but not something I necessarily want to pay for. The paint obviously hadn't cured before the cigars were packaged and whole thing reeked of volatile organic compounds. First thing I did was remove the cigars from the box and chuck it. In all fairness, I cannot detect any residual paint smell in the cigars.

"Good CAO."
I generally prefer the stronger CAOs but this one is quite good. Creamy, spicy, cedary and medium bodied smoke is drawn easily from this beautiful, well made cigar. The burn is impeccable with the white ash holding for over an inch. Take your time with it and it smokes cool and will last over an hour and a half.

"Winter Stick"
I love an afternoon when I “work from home.” Gives me the time to light up the long ones and sit on the porch and watch the chipmunks and birds and what I think is an owl up in the dark recesses of the pine tree. This is an excellent cigar. It’s a solid cleanly constructed log that burns true and fragrantly. Flavor crawled up and down the spectrum: mild and medium spice with cream, yes nuts and cedar as well. I took this one down deep into the minty-cocoa depths. That is no easy feat with this long boy. It took me so long to burn that I eventually did do some work. I vacuumed the wife’s car, cleared some snow and took care of my husbandry duties with Brigham and his hens. That’s where I finished the Frontier off: in the coop on the hill. Highly recommend this CAO.

"Never had better."
I have only been smoking cigars for about a year and have stuck with the mild to medium (usually Connecticut wrapped) cigars. This is without question the best tasting cigar I've had yet. The construction, draw, and burn are outstanding, but the taste is what will get you.

"As good as CAO gets"
The Frontiers is another example of CAO's great rollers with perfect construction and a great burn. The draw was great and the flavors were excellent. It's mild/med smoke with light spice and creamy vanilla and cedar. Smooth and long this cigar is relaxation for a hour. Good stuff.

"A good go-to cigar"
Good all-around smoke. It started a bit harsh (although I had a problem getting it lit-that may have affected it) but after a little bit it really smoothed out. Nice and mild, with a little spice and cedar flavor thrown in. It did get hot at the end though-I'd like to try their Lonsdale to see if it is cooler. All around, a very good smoke that lasted over an hour.

"Smoke me long time"
Mild to medium bodied smoke with hints of nuts and a nice sprinkling of spice to augment a very nice balanced cigar. I prefer cigars to be a bit smaller in length. Burn and draw were very good with lots of smoke. This CAO line is a winner.
