CAO Black VR Full Fathom Five

A beautiful thick, black, oily wrapper on this cigar that doesn't disappoint. Right out of the box there is good depth and complexity and a mostly medium body (the last third becomes fuller but smooth). I have smoked the top layer (5) of these and they have been very consistent with clouds of thick leathery smoke. I usually go for something more full-throttle but the medium body is wrought with a variety of earthy flavors with a nice natural sweetness with a note of black licorice. A perfect draw and superior construction round out a great smoke. P.S. never rate a cigar off "a" cigar. EVERYONE is going to miss one here and there.

This is the box-pressed selection of the group, with its boxes hand-signed by Tim Ozgener. It pleases all the senses except taste. Smells great, like slow cooking wood clippings... the feel is amazing and oily head gives it its good looks!

Flavor was like the other blacks... hit or miss. This was a miss. I couldnt find a big differnce with the wrapper except perhaps there was more spice.
