"Smooth and light"
CAO is not my favorite brand, but this cigar was well made and looked good. It’s a very smooth cigar and awfully mild. If you are looking for that kind of stick this one fills the bill. Not much spice, sort of a coffee taste. Burned pretty well but was pretty loosely rolled. At the end it got hotter than I would have imagined but not to bad. I doubt that I’ll buy any more but wouldn’t discourage anyone who likes mild cigars from purchasing them.

"Eh..."
Not bad, but not that great either. This one had been in my humidor for almost two years, which may have been too long. The flavor was of light wood with slightly sweet ceader on the finish. Like most CAO's, the construction was very good. Overall, a decent mild/medium cigar, but not spectacular.

"What Happened?"
As highly rated as CAO cigars are, I was surprised. I do not like strong cigars and this one just left me waiting and wanting more. Construction was good as well as burn and draw. But the flavor seemed too weak.

"Tasty"
These
things come from Nicaragua (mostly). I don't think
that is a real place, but this cigar is REAL good.
Smooth, light and creamy. A tight draw, and makes
relatively little smoke. Light warm aftertaste. It
became a little strong at the very, bitter end - But
the journey was a lovely thing. Yummers.

"Good and cheap"
This is a very nice beginners smoke in my book. Very mild with a very good burn and construction. It's flavors were smooth and woodsy and roast coffee, but that's about it. Great it the morning with coffee too.

"Good smoke, but odd construction"
I got this cigar after reading the reviews and gave it a try. The first 3/4" were a bit harsh and bitter. Maybe I held the flame a bit too close. But a definite burnt coffee flavor. The burn was even without much effort. It mellowed afterwards, and had a smooth coffee and tobacco flavor. After an inch of that, the wrapper sort of unravelled and the binder blistered out a bit. This was about 1/2" down the stick. I was kind of annoyed and let itself burn down and smoked it only to keep it lit. It eventually burned past that area. The flavors were still there although maybe a hint of bitterness. Still decent though. It smoothened and I thought the flavors got a bit stronger too, to a medium bodied. Good woodsy taste. I smoked it down to the label and was very good. Overall, I think I may have gotten a bad one, but I'll definitely try another. Worth it (if it stayed intact) but maybe I'd try aging it a bit to get rid of the harsh first inch.

"Great everyday smoke"
The CAO gold line is the cheapest of the CAO's (I think) and they aren't bad at all. The corona is a great quickie that gives you a nice range of flavors. I noticed a milky/vanilla undertone to this cigar that was satisfying. I'd say it is one of the best buys out there for $3.95.

I found this stogie to be mild to med with a good burn and enough flavor to keep me intrested. A light nutty state with a hint of vanilla to it . It;s also a very creamy smoke. My favorite Gold line yet.

"A solid performer"
This is one of my everyday smokes, mild yet full of flavor. The spices heat up midway, not really peppery but sort of nutty with hints of vanilla. Great with a mild cup of coffee in the morning, great value too.

"Good, but overrated..."
Just had my second one, and I didn't think it was anything special. Not much smoke at all, very little flavor of any kind, and started to fall apart towards the end. Yes, the price is good, but I'd rather spend that money on a Padron. Sorry.

"Enjoyable"
I was pushed into trying this cigar by a CAO sales rep, and I am very pleased he introduced me to it. A very mild cigar that did not leave any bad taste in my mouth the whole time I smoked it. The draw was a little tough but I think that is because it wasn't in the humidor long enough to soften it. Will buy this enjoyable cigar again.

"very good...just short of great"
Very tasty cigar with a perfect draw and burn. Mild, sort of a nutty balance--hard to describe the tast other than smooth and enough flavor to want to keep puffing. Mouthful of smoke with each draw--a well constructed smoke that's hard to ignore. All I can say is after I finished I wanted more, had no bad aftertaste. Hint--great with a dark brown ale--good contrast.

"A really nice little smoke"
I don't really have alot of comments about these subltle little flavors of which everyone speaks. This cigar had a beautiful draw. It left a nice sweet aftertaste and was a joy down past the band. Medium bodied. I can still taste it long after it is gone. Yum.

"Not my flavor profile."
Picked some up & put them in the humidor. Started hearing bad reports on CAO, decided I'd try one. Glad I did. Not my normal flavor but it was well made, lots of smoke, tasty for a milder cigar. The flavor was more vegetal than I prefer but had a nutty flavor that remained nicely on the palette. I keep a few around now.
