"Instant favorite"
I'll admit, I'm a bit of a CAO fan. I like their Italia and Brasilia line and decided to try their Golds. Now I'm not a bit smoker of mild cigars. I want my cigars to taste like a meal most of the time.
I didn't know what to expect with the Gold Maduro. Mild fillers and a Maduro wrapper...intriguing. I lit it up and fell in love. It had the sweetness of a nice mild cigar with the fullness and cafe flavor of a maduro. What a combo!
Better yet it didn't have any of the burn problems most CAO's seem to have. Definately a keeper

"Decent smoke"
First smoke of this Maduro Gold. I am a big maduro fan. Nice construction and good looking band. Tight draw initially which eased up as I continued. The burn was always even and I smoked it to the band. Recently smoked a CAO VR which I found to be a bit milder, but more flavorful overall. And creamier to boot.
As I got down to the last third, flavor picked up a bit, but also some ammonia-like flavors. Purging helped get rid of some of it.
A mild-medium cigar in my book. Nice relaxing smoke. I hear that this is in limited supply, so I jumped on buying one to try. I might try one more in the future just to be sure of my findings. I find the Oliva O maduro a better buy and smoke.
