"just ok"
Even burn, no problems. Looks good. Smokes well. Smoke is smooth and not harsh. From CAO, however, you expect more than just smooth tobacco. This is good for most cigars, CAO should be above this. I say, just ok.

"Beauty"
Beautiful Cigar, too bad the taste doesn't quite match it's looks. The CAO Gold Torpedo looks great, but the taste, while good, is not anything to rave about. Like the previous reviewer mentioned this cigar goes well with a good sippin whiskey.

"Very Nice"
Wrapper had no real flaws to it and is a nice Connecticut shade color to it. The wrapper was starting to come off a bit at the top, but it didn't ruin the cigar. The cigar was packed nice and tight. It cut pretty well. I toasted the foot and then lit. Here I had a small problem, an uneven light. Now I don't think it was the cigar as much as I just missed lit it. The ash burns a nice gray and holds for quite a while.

Flavor was a creamy sweet and spicy, which smelt great. The aftertaste was good and not gross. This was a great med. bodied cigar. The after smell left in my living room is nice as well.

I would have another in a heartbeat.

Note* I paired with with a shot of Crown Royal Special Reserve on the rocks.

"Not for me"
I like the Brazilia line of CAO. Also like the CAO extreme. But this version seemed to be lacking in the taste department. As with most of CAO they are constructed superbly. Lots of smoke and an easy draw. light spice and wood tastes. Mild in strength. i guess it goes to show why so many cigar brands are out there. We all do not like the same thing.

"Nice!"
Well built and pretty. Was expecting it to be less flavorful, more of a Macanudo. however, it had some nice sweet spiciness to it. Nothing too strong, but a lot of flavor for a "mild" cigar. Great with my morning coffee.

"Gold Finger Figurado"
I had the Cameroon version of this line and it exceeded my expectations in every category. The box pressed shape is elegant and the construction is very very good. The overall flavor profile is smooth, dark and deep with a hint of spice and nuts...finish lingers on your palate. The shape reminds me of Padron Anni's and this is almost in that category...key word being ALMOST. I have smoked many CAOs and never been disappointed...this is no exception.

"Top Class"
This cigar is what changed me. As a novist I would occassionally spend a little more on a cigar and nothing ever made me want to put out the money until I tasted this one. It changed my outlook and made me realize that you do get what you pay for. A mild cigar with great flavor and subtile hints made my taste buds dance.

Really nice looking, but ho-hum flavors and construction problems really dropped this on in my opinion.

"Baby's Bum"
Very smooth and light. Not much smoke when I started to cook this one, but it did build towards the end. Light and slightly sweet sums it up for me. I'll hands this out to friends as a good place to start or pick one up again for a good morning smoke on the next camp out.

"Doesn't change your life...."
I picked up a couple of Gold torpedos at a shop about 2 months back and let them rest in my humidor. I have smoked both in the past week and I have to say that I was satisfied, but not overwhelmingly so. My go-to cigar is LGC Serie R 4 or 5 in maduro, and I do like maduros the best which these 2 Golds were not. I was happy with the consistent burn and there was a nice flavor. I was disappointed with the volume of smoke as I felt like I had to work harder than usual to get nice plumes. It was only until the last 3rd of each cigar that I felt like I was getting the smoke I like to see. The ash was solid and hung on quite awile throughout. Net review: good but not something I will stock in my relatively small humidor (125 ct). I am anxious to try the Brazillia in maduro as I have heard that is a step up.

"Gold Mine"
This cigar is a gem, my favorite light-medium bodied cigar. I have smoked around 7 of these and I can’t explain why I have not purchased a full box yet. As with all of CAO cigars the construction is almost perfection. Very solid, tight wrap, and excellent cap, they should all feel like this one when you hold it. Absolutely beautiful, could be a poster boy for Connecticut shade wrappers. A small cut was all that this torpedo needed, unlit, it had great draw. When I lit it up, it had perfect draw, and maintained perfect until the last puff. Even though I typically cut short, I have yet to have any of these plug up on me. This cigar is as creamy and smooth as they get. For me just the right amount of light spices and I detected a tiny hint of honey in a few of these. The torpedo lasted me about an hour and a half, never got hot until I was down to the nub. I bought a couple of these from my local guy, but also bought a five pack of an internet cigar company, I paid about $6.00 each. BOTTOM LINE: I will drop anything I am doing to smoke one of these, great everyday smoke, light-medium, creamy, and reliable. A must try.

"CAO Gold Torpedo"
Beautiful presentation with excellent construction. A definate "class act" from start to finish. Maybe slightly lacking in the flavor department as there was no real "oomph" in this cigar, it was very mild and creamy smooth. A very relaxing cigar good for mid day smoke or a night cap.
