"cao oddyesy"
i have had four or five of these in the last year or so and i find them to be very good, i get them for 8 dollars each which is very nice, i dont think i would pay 15 or more. i have gotten some uneven burns due to some good sized veins but i like the taste and aroma, it almost tastes like a costa rican or ecuador wrapped cigar, slightly odd or different taste. it changes flavors alot i think. my local shop is running really low on these and i think i am going to buy the rest of them, (7 or 8 left) at 8 bucks i'll keep them in the humidor and my local shop has had them in his for years.

"very good but"
This is a very good smoke. Without a doubt a premium stick but this I felt was a very complex cigar. The flavors were difficult to distinguish. That might be a result of having 6 different fillers. The cigar need more power to it for me. This is a good cigar but not worth the $15. I will say this if you are a seasoned smoker that has a well defined palate you really might enjoy it.

"Great CAO"
I bought a box of these for my buddy; a unique Xmas president. He broke the box open early and we threw a few darts and smoked a couple of these beauties. I tasted sweet nuts and cream. Mild cigar, but with a great unique flavor.

"Wildly overpriced"
Kind of cool looking with a very pointed head. I have to agree with others who point out that the taste is decidedly medicore. Mine decided to canoe a bit then had other ..... tossed a little over half way. Where's the beef?

"don't believe the bad rep here"
i bought 5 had my first and i really enjoyed it... appearance was cool to start with. the draw and burn were both really good i had no problems with either. starts off with a floral taste and arome after warming up its almost creamy and finishes off tasting sweet. the changes in the flavor profile are what set it apart from most of teh other cigars in the CAO line. i disagree with other reviewers here i think often times people are just bitter about price before they even light up

"Dissappointing and Embarrassing"
I've had other CAO sticks and enjoyed them immensely. I purchased three of these sticks, at $18.00 each. The intent was to have them on hand as a celebratory smoke. The event, the closing of my first home, was ruined. I pulled two of the smokes out of their "coffins" and let them sit in my humidor unwrapped overnight. They LOOKED so beautiful, my anticipation was immediately heightened. I shared one with a friend and was extremely embarrassed. (especially considering the hype surrounding the smoke session. They both burned unevenly. Mine canoed and my friends came completely unwrapped two thirds of the way down. We both had a similar taste experience. Somewhat dry without a lot of flavor. I'll leave the last one in the humidor for another year or so and try it again, but for now, I've sworn off this particular stick all together.

"DRACULA"
THIS WAS THE COOLEST THING TO COME OUT OF A COFFIN SINCE NOSFERATU....YOU WANT HOW MUCH??? AND IT COMES WITH A FREE CIGAR INSIDE, TOO??? WELL SIGN ME UP!!! BURNED SO JACKED UP I CAN'T EXPLAIN, TASTE WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO OTHER C.A.O. LINES, THE SHAPE LOOKED LIKE SOMETHING THE GEORGE JETSONS BOSS WOULD SMOKE...THAT WAS THE BEST THING... A MARKETING PLOY THAT I FELL FOR TWICE JUST TO MAKE SURE I HAD BEEN SCREWED THE 1ST TIME!!!!!!

"DISAPPOINTING FOR A CAO ... NOT WORTH THE $$$"
These "special edition" CAO's are disappointing. The $10-$15 asking price must be based on the shape of the cigar and the packaging. Each cigar comes in its own little wooden box called a "coffin." The cigar was ok tasting, not complex at all, perhaps a hint of cedar with a straight forward tobacco flavor, not anything near what one would expect from a CAO. There was a slight burn problem about a third of the way down, it started to "canoe." These are really more of a collector's item, because they are very pretty to look at, a unique shaped perfecto, and the little individual box is cool. BUT ... I have smoked much better tasting cigars at a fraction of the price. If you are a true collector of cigars, not just a smoker, buy one just to have the little coffin box as a souvenir, and a pretty cigar to admire ... and DON"T SMOKE IT !!! Keep it just to look at. (LOL)

"Buy 3 Brazilias instead!"
A beautiful cigar to look at, great coffin box, beautiful band and a georgous wrapper all promise a great smoking experience. Too bad the taste doesn't deliver. This certainly is not a bad tasting cigar however there are better tasting two dollar sticks out there.

"Oh Well........."
I had high hopes for this stick, I enjoy large ring gauge cigars and this perfecto fits the bill but the tobacco in this cigar leaves much to be desired. This stick was way overpriced for the quality. It does look great but looks are not everything in a cigar.

"Beauty is not enough...but it helps!"
A great looking cigar, this Odissey...I bought it about one year ago, at a Star Trek price ($30!!), it's been since in my humidor and I was really eager to smoke it. Now it's done...I have some mixed feelings about it: it started very well, smooth and flavorful, to get more peppery all the way through, it needed some fire up with the torch and eventually I had to give up at about 1 inch from the end, which I generally consider the sign of a sub average smoke. However, I feel a strange fondness for this cigar: maybe, after all, to have a good look helps. Ask Jenny Lo for confirmation...

"Looks better than it tastes."
Got this one free for buying a box of CAO. Smoked it 1 day shy of it's 8th birthday (8/31/03). A good looking big perfecto. Full bodied, smooth, plenty of barnyard in the finish, hints of sweetness & it picked up a nice spice tone. It had a long finish. All that & something is bothering me. Viola! It reminded me of a regular Padron. Hmmm. Padron @ $3-4. There's a no-brainer for ya.

"A Great 1 dollar Cigar"
Okay, I normally like the C.A.O. Family of cigars, especially the Extreme. This guy looks great and that's where it ends. I was hoping for more, but I have tried all 10 (had a box) and all ten were very very difficult to draw in fact all were plugged. Can't recommend this, don't know what it should taste like. Was to busy being upset that I couldn't smoke the damn thing.

"Hold the Phone"
Smoked another one of these after 6 months in the humidor. Three other people joined me. The opinion was unanimous: awesome. It's a completely different cigar now, rich and complex and unbelievably smooth. However, I can't understand why 6 months of aging makes such a difference to a cigar that is supposed to have been aged extensively already. Very strange, but worth the effort.

"Odyssey?"
Unfortunately I wanted to like this cigar. It's too pricey for a below average smoke that's wrapped so nicely in dress clothes. Overall a poor product from a usually freat cigar company. A real DeLorean if you get my drift.

The only CAO that's ever disappointed me. The Millenium is MUCH better than Odyssey, and frankly so is the less expensive Extreme. Don't waste your money on the Odyssey.

No doubt this coffin encased cigar will stand out in your humidor. As far as when you smoke it...you expect much after the nice looks, but the cigar delivers below that. Although...I wonder if any cigar could live up to these looks.
