"not to bad, but not great"
I enjoyed this smoke even though it was nothing to right home about. I love the box. I feel that it is a little over priced for what you get.

"doesnt sell"
i work at the cigar store... we bought a box of these and the box was broke, but we still paid $225 for the box... our distributer sent us a new empty box so life was good... i find it to be an excellent cigar, but i cant argue with anyone complaining about the price... i could smoke a rocky patel, ghurka, primer mundo, (im just gonna so the list doesnt go on all day) for a whole lot cheaper with about the same quality... but definately an impressive cigar... it looks excellent with the white label and light color and has a medium with a whole bunch of flavor... but when i can smoke it's equal for half the price, or a better one for the same price, why would i buy it? i cant even recommend it to the new smokers because they're picking up cheap ones and working their way into smoking, not buying $15 cigars straight up

"Phtttt"
For $14 I expected a cigar with some character, decent construction and a good burn. This one gave none of those. Best pass on this rip-off.

"Excellent if 8 bucks, but at 14? umm..."
Like my 'review title' says, this is an AWESOME smoke whose packaging pushed the price over what I'd be willing to pay for it. Tastes like an even fuller- bodied Cien Anos (Aurora, if you haven't had one and can find them, do yourself a favor... try 'em)

Again, great cigar, construction is near- perfect, draw is just a little on the tight side of 'just right' -- enough to let you know it's there, but not enough that you're sucking golf balls through a garden hose... Very firm to the touch, at least near the foot and at the head. Minimal veignage, but a nice bloom starting at only 2 or 3 months (no, it isn't mold, I'm sure... though I'm paranoid about that stuff) Overall a very cedar, sweet-wood, and sweet- spice flavor with abundant smoke density and volume. If cheaper, I'd smoke it as my "go- to" / daily cigar, but at this price, I'll stick with others (PAM 64's and 26's, Partagas vintage, higher- end gurkha's, etc).

Bottom line: great cigar, not worth the price, and you are paying for marketing hype about the box.

"Powerfull Smoke...but too pricey"
Well, I'm a sucker for great packaging, so I had to try one of these when they showed up on my local shop's shelves. To begin, they are well made and very pretty, as one would expect from CAO. The cap is thick and made for a solid bullet cut. At first light, I must say that I was a little disappointed with the lack of flavor, but the volume of smoke coming out of this thing was remarkable. The word on the street is that CAO draw tests every one of these things, and it shows. My first few puffs, however, were deceiveing as this cigar started to get it in gear about a half inch in and continued to produce a stong, but not spicy, flavor with no particularly dominate flavor, but concentrating on the creamy, leathery, nutty side of things. Maybe it was me (I had only had two slices of pizza for lunch) but I found this smoke to be quite powerfull, especially for a CAO. You can really appreciate the Piloto wrapper and two kinds of Ligero filler in this cigar.
Overall, a good to great smoke, but for $14 I would MUCH rather buy a Padron Aniv. and have a FANTASTIC cigar where I'm not paying for a box that I don't get to keep. CAO, if you're listening, sell these to tobacco shops sans fancy box for selling singles and with the fancy box for selling boxes. That way we might could get this cigar in the 7 buck-a-piece range where it would really shine as a nice full cigar that's exceptionally constructed.

"Not bad but..."
Finally had one and it's not bad. Packaging is a killer though. I figure a box is 280, and the actual box is worth at least 100. I paid 14 for one torp...minus the box it would have been 9. Definitely a good 5-7 dollar smoke. Strong, good burn, and a decent one dimensional taste. If CAO can get the price down I would be a little interested in this line. But right now, put it with the Soprano. A good cigar for the price of two good cigars.

"CAO has done it again"
I had one last weekend. It's an excellent smoke. The draw is smooth, the taste is consistent from start to finish. I was amazed, since the flavor of most cigars change during smoking. For CAO's first Dominican cigar, they did a good job, you can tell the difference right away. The mixture of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Brazilian longfillers give it a very unique taste that after only one stick I could recognize blindfolded.
While it's a great cigar, I feel it's a bit overpriced. Maybe it's the packaging (The stylish humidity-regluating box they come in is breath-taking) or the hype created by it's late release. The cigar may suffer a similar fate of the Soprano line of cigars, great smoke, but a bit over-priced. The Epiphany is $14.00. I highly recommend this smoke. CAO has another hit.
