"Mild but tasty"
I usually don't smoke too many mild cigars, however I did like this one. Very well construction with a nice slow and even burn. Very nice draw on all I've had so far. Very creamy with hints of nutmeg and lots of smoke.

"1st Torano"
I have to agree with Scotty and dkpilgrim, this was an unenjoyable cigar smoking experience for me. I maybe smoke 1 stick a week and when I do I look forward to savoring an hour or two of smoking bliss, and after this smoke I'll need a do-over! Bland in the flavor dept, harsh aftertaste, a little bitter. Burn was fine, even etc.. and the contruction was good. That's where it ended....I like medium bodied smokes and REALLY enjoy the Perdomo lot 23 and El Rey Del Mundo.

"Yeah Buddy!"
If you can enjoy a mild to medium cigar, this is an outstanding stick, especially when you factor in the price. I smoked it at a party I didn't want to go to, out on the balcony away from the crowd and I loved the salty-nutty, cream flavor. The draw was a little tight on this particular gar, but it's the first of many I smoked and the only one with that problem. Oh yeah, one thing I've learned is that these need at least 6 months in the humidor to bring out the taste. Definately, not one you want to fire up as soon as you get it. I had this particular smoke with a Knob Creek Kentucky Bourbon, the Casa Torano's really go with good "sippin" whiskey.

"From bad to good to worse"
Stick looked ok, tan and slightly green shade in some areas. Didn't look right. Started off bitter and grassy. Draw was too loose, seemed like air/smoke ratio was off. Gave it time to mellow out. After 10 mins, the bitterness went away, but slight grassy undertone remained. After 15 mins, the draw tightened up a bit, which surprised me because cigars usually do the opposite while beings smoked. At the half way mark, it got a lot better. Sweet, toasty but couldn't quite pick out the nutty notes. Judging from my experience, I probably got a very young smoke. I got this in a sampler two weeks ago, so this stick only cost me $1.25. Keeping that in mind, this was a good cigar. I won't seek those out at higher than 3 bucks a pop.

"a good smoke"
Bought a box of these to morning smoke since I like stronge maduro's which can be rather rude, early. Felt solf but didn't act like it, had a very nice draw and burn, nice wrapper to but the ring size seem not correct. But over all a good stick.

"Excellent at the price point"
Got one in a sampler for about $2.50. Very smooth, tan colored wrapper, had a nice feel with no soft spots. Prelight draw tasted nutty and a bit sweet. Almost perfect draw. The first third was predominantly toasty, complemented by the same sweet, nutty prelight taste. Turned medium bodied about mid-way where it also picked up some complexity--cream and a bread-like flavor which faded in and out, also a fruity note. I was surprised at how much flavor this thing had! The downside was a horribly uneven burn that required numerous touch-ups. Overall, an enjoyable afternoon cigar.

"Nice..."
Smoked one of these last night on the deck and was really impressed how nice of a cigar it was, perfect burn and ash, it was tight on the draw, but nice flavor, a little spice near the end but definitely a mild smoke, looking forward to smoking another.

"Good Value"
Okay appearance, very nice draw, perfect burn. The taste startsoff very bready, and then moves onto a steady flavor of powdered cocoa and white pepper that maintains its way through the entire cigar. A mild/medium body smoke that is easy-going and a great value at under $5.00.

"Good all around"
A solidly constructed cigar. Quite firm, yet easy drawing with volumes of smoke. Even burn throughout.

"Ragged but good"
Beautiful gold/red wrapper with a perfect cap.Cut cleanly, and lit easily. Draw was very good from beginning to end. An abundance of cream and cedar smoke the whole way through. Started getting an uneven burn at mid-point. Huge grey, crumbly ash. One hour of good cigar though.

"Work of Art"
This cigar is first-rate all the way. It is well-constructed, beautiful, and smokes well. The strength is mild-medium, but there is flavor there throughout the whole length of the smoke, making this cigar fun, interesting, and rewarding. I found the slightly spicy hit a nice counterpoint to the toasty main flavor. The cigar burned cool, even, and the ash was pretty solid. A first class smoke, I'll be buying a box when I have the money...

"Go To Smoke"
If you want a mild smoke with lots of flavor, stick with Casa Torano. I can't believe these are the same folks that make Ghurkas. Such a great mild smoke that will not put you on the floor.

"a nice cigar, half way at least"
Just tried my first Torano smoke. The very first thing I noticed was how easy the draw was, thus providing ample amounts of rich gooey smoke. I never had a cigar with such an easy draw. The taste was very good. Exactly halfway through the smoke however, the wrapper came completely undone and fell apart, leaving only the binder and filler. Needless to say, from that point on, it smoked and tasted different than before, ruining any further enjoyment of it. The ash was at least 2" when good. I wish it wouldn't have fell apart on me, I may try another Torano before giving up on them.

"Viva Torano!"
The Casa Torano was one of those unexpected pleasures. I was not prepared for this complex and flavorful toro. I went out and bought more. Very creamy and chewy. The construction and appearance were also first rate. The price could be a whole lot worse. Viva Torano!!

"Aging wonderfully."
Unlike myself, time has been kind to these cigars. Scotty you owe it to yourself to try another. The pepper, cedar and cream are blending well and if anything they body is a little stronger.

"Did nothing for me."
Attrative, velvety soft wrapper. A well made puro cigar chocked full of nicaraguan "stuff". An A+ for Aesthetics and smokability. A failure in the flavor department. I think I got this from my buddy Glenn about 5 months ago and I stored this with some stronger cigars because I heard these were pretty mild and was hoping to marry some depth to it. This cigar had a blahness to it all through. Very earthy to the point of being muddy. Very disappointed. To me it fits perfectly with the "Downright nasty" in the ratings guide. Others dig these. I may have got a badly blended stick which surprises me coming from CT. Tread catiously. I'll enter $4 for PP.

"NICE"
This is a beautiful stick, well constructed and a complexity that you will love. It burned evenly with a long gray ash. An hour of great smoke, lite spices and a creamy flavor. Highly Recommened!

"Fine little Brother to the Torpedo"
I like this cigar. I like the torpedo better. I prefer the smaller ring size so I buy these more frequently. ASHMAN has posted as many reviews on this site as anyone so take his word for it...they're a great mild to medium cigar that has complexity and character...all for an incredibly reasonable price! Get on board with that and get some.

"More time in the humi"
This stick could have used more time in the humi. The wrapper was smooth and had a lovely cap that cut with no end trails. The foot lit even and burned with a salt and pepper ash. The taste was mild to medium and had notes of anise and burnt wood with some what of a salty finish. Not a bad smoke just needs more time to age.

"Never again"
I like my smokes. I like to sit and enjoy and take them in. I received some Casa Toraño's as a gift from a well intentioned novice friend of mine and I would give them back if I could. I 'm not sure that I even want to offer them to any of my friends or want them seen in one of my humi's. I smoked the CT Casa Toraño about halfway before I had to end my suffering. While the Casa Toraño did burn much better than the CT "Brick" which I have also tried and even less impressed, all I could think of was "Where in the world did they cure this blend? A paint factory?!?" The burn, construction and taste however was much better than a CT "Brick", but I think the only way I can get rid of these is if someone is foolish enough to ask for one. A stem was cause for some uneven burn and would haunt the ash during the abbreviated session, but other than that the construction was amicable. The appearance masked it's ugly alternative personality, once lit, the beast came out burning my pallet with some unidentifiable flavor as if hot pepper were the main ingredient. I caught some occasional sweetness of the wrapper trying to tame this harsh smoke, but never had a chance. This good looking smoke is a trap. Now, what do I do with the rest of them?

"All around excellent smoke"
All around enjoyable smoke. Beautiful in appearance, excellent construction, burn and ash. I was expecting a milder smoke than it turned out to be - although I am sure it may be the milder of the Torano smokes. This smoke provided a creamy taste with hints of sweetness and occasional spice. All around enjoyable smoking experience.

"Excellent smoke"
I really liked this smoke. Creamy flavors of peppery spice that's so smooth. This is a fine cigar that you can smoke all day long. The construction is excellent and the burn was perfect. It holds a good ash too. A very enjoyable and relaxing smoke. 2 thumps up here.

"I can't believe it!"
Now look, I know more of you have smoked this cigar. They sell like hotcakes. While I can't understand the lack of reviews, I do enjoy the fact that have a boat load of toros and torps aging. A great peppery, creamy smoke with lots of flavor and character. This smoke helped me to understand the term " complexity".

"Nice tasty mild cigar"
A dang fine looking cigar w/a shade grown wrapper & a solid feel. Thanx to God for gifting me this cigar. Nice creamy tones & a light sweetness dominate the 1st half. The second half sees an intensification of the flavors with a nice addition of some great highs in the sinus.

"I concur"
The reviewers of other sizes have been impressed and me as well. This cigar is advertised as mild but satisfying. No way! This cigar is tremendously satisfying but it ain't mild. It has a cubanesque quality of delivering power mildly. you will not be disappointed smoking this one after dinner. The golden wrapper belies the fullness of the total package. The burn is perfect, I am down to the last two inches and have only dusted the silver white ash twice. No touch ups required. The The flavors are so well balanced and complex that not one in particular stands out. They are superbly blended and balanced. If I could only smoke one cigar this may very well be it.
