"quality control?"
i work at the local cigar shop so i try to smoke at least one of everything so i can tell people about it... i smoked the virtuoso and i loved it... it was absolutely perfect for me... i didnt mind the $7 price tag (especially with my discount)... but the next one i smoked was a load of crap... was this cigar roller drunk or something? pulling the wrong leaves to put in this cigar... i can see one sitting there trying to find a way to americanize a cigar with some pine needles and a few oak leaves thrown in with the tobacco in the cigar... but none of the virtuosos were ever the same, so ive steered off from the toranos name brand

"Not a $9 cigar!"
Local shop had just one left, I wish someone else had beat me to it!

Nice presentation with very good construction & burn.

Good flavor & medium body. Not strong or harsh.

"Very nice."
No way this is a $7 cigar, but for $3.40 it's a winner. Beautiful dark, oily wrapper, firm roll and draw with a near perfect burn. The looks and feel are a 10 unfortunately this very pleasant smoke is good but not special. Sweet maduro/coffee flavor throughout with a mild to medium body. I thought I was in for a butt kicking this afternoon and it turns out this is as late in the day to smoke this one.

"A great sun grown"
I didn't know if I was a big fan of sun grown wrappers, or if I was just a fan of Fuente sun growns. The Fuente 8-5-8 sun grown is one of my favorite cigars period, and the Cuban Beli's are outstanding. That being said, my experience with this wrapper was pretty much limited to a handful of Fuentes; until I smoked this churchill. This is an outstanding cigar that rivals the Cuban Beli's in construction and flavor. I got these real cheap at longashes2u.com about a year ago when their prices were still unbelievable, but I would smoke them at more widely available price marks as well.

"not bad"
Had this at a Torano tasting. From what i remember it had a nice burn, consistent ash, and a lot of black licorice. I'm not a fan of black licorice, so i didn't warm to it a lot.

"Lives up to the hype I've read"
Straight forward nicotine and tobacco smoke. Notes of black coffee and dark chocolate.Burns well with only one minor canoe burn that quickly corrected itself.Other than a few relights this was excellent and there will be more in my future.

"Good to Excellent"
The Virtuoso series is be far the strongest in the Torano line and for me it's a bit over-done. It's rich and very full, a nice evening cigar with a strong bourbon than can stand up to it, but for my taste buds it's not as interesting or complex as either the 1916 Camaroon or the Signature series. I keep a few aging in my humidor because when I'm in the mood for something strong and "manly" this really hits the spot, but it's not an everyday thing. As always, the Torano construction and consistency are first-rate. Try one, see if they suit you. A good buy, but there are definitely more complex choices out there.

"Hardly a Virtuoso Performance"
Although the burn was pretty good, the flavor profile left a lot to be desired. It was a medium to medium+ bodied cigar but with a dominant single mediocre maduro flavor throughout. At about 3 inches it developed a "stale cigar smoke" flavor that was pretty unpleasant. For $7 it needs to be impressively good and complex, not just average. The Signature series is far superior and cheaper, and the 1959 series are a deeper, more complex maduro.

"Great cigar"
This is a very nice medium cigar. I found it to have geat flavor with a lot of spice and semi sweet chocolate nuances. This cigar burns wonderfully and has a great finish.
