"one of the best ever"
This is one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. I have now smoked four and the experience was similar with all of them. Appearance is wonderful with a colorado maduro, shiny, oily and siky wrapper. Pre light draw is wonderful. The flavor is very complex, cohiba like but more poweful: woody, leathery and very spicy. The more it is smoked the more complex is the flavor. In one of them I had to work at its lighting towards the end as it was a little underfilled. I have never had such a complex cigar, I would recommend it to all cuban cigar lovers. It is expensive, but it is definitely worth it.

"Big Dog"
You need to be ready for this and have smoked a good bit of Cubans, IMHO. I agree with the previous writer and I could actually smoke this all the way to tomorrow if nececcary! Construction was disappointing (perhaps that was shipping) but the rest was shockingly good. Great draw, complex, good burn. Best Cohiba I have ever had and definitely not the norm.

"Cohiba 2004 Sublime"
One of my 3 favorites. Just smoked another one over the weekend, and was even better after an additional 9 months in the humidor. If the world were ending tomorrow, this would be one I'd be smoking between now and then.

"another cohiba disaster"
Maybe I'm just unlucky with Cohibas in general (see my review on the Cohiba Robusto) but this was another dog. Bad burn, fair draw and not much flavor. Very bland. I received it as a gift from a friend but I had it in my humidor for approx 4 months so it should have recovered from any previous humidification problems, etc.

"Go App State"
I am an Appalachian State alum and they beat Michigan this weekend 34-32. So in celebration I smoked the last Cohiba in my stash.
It was as always perfection.
The problem is now everything else in my humidor has lost its appeal.
Ahhh the joy, Go Mountaineers.

"A great vitola"
I just had a chance to smoke a couple of those cigars during a stay in DR. The cigar was perfect from A to Z. The second cigar had an uneven burn for couple of minutes but that was it. A great cigar, great construction, taste-flavor, an easy smoke and extremely enjoyable and unforgattable experience. I still have the taste in my mouth.

"Cuban Perfection"
I do not like Cuban cigars just because they are Cuban. I find that many are overrated. This is not one of them. This cigar is beautifully rolled - like most Cohibas. Perfectly firm draw. Much darker wrapper than a traditional Cohiba. Very well-aged tobaccos. Not stronger than a traditional Cohiba, just more complex. On the full side of medium. Do treat yourself to one if you can find it. Expensive yes - but just smoking it makes any time a special occasion. I wish I could smoke them all the time!

"Only Gonna Get Better"
I haven't always had a lot of love for the bigger ring gauge Cohibas, but this one was smooth and grassy with a lot of flavor and oomph. I think it is a good smoke now, but will age somewhat slowly due to its enormous size. I look forward to what the few I have nestled away will become in another few years.

"Divine and expensive; will get better w/ age"
This cigar is well constructed with a dark and oily wrapper. The burn is even, the draw is perfect, and the smoke is cool and "sublime". Flavors include coffee, cream cocoa, almonds and earthy notes. I give these cigars good marks yet it still immature. They have not obtained their full potential. Patience is needed because these cigars will reach their full potential after aging in a good humidor for about 5 years. I have smoked nearly one box as a benchmark and have another to age. I have two cigars reserved for to monitor the aging progress over the next 5 years.

"like a rock"
I can never turn down a free cuban, and this one was so huge that I certainly wasn't going to say no. First time I've had a cuban with a rosado wrapper, and I am thoroughly impressed. A very earthy and deeply flavorful cigar, it is the antithesis of light-bodied. Great all around. Too bad I can't find sublimes anywhere, so CHERISH them if you are fortunate enough to get one!

"Nice subdued flavor"
These cigars are magnificent in their consistent flavor. Unlike other horrible experiences with cigars from the island, these cigars are a joy to smoke. They are beautiful and darker than most of the Cohiba line. Their construction is adequate, but less than consistent - slight burn problems and a tight draw are this cigar's worst flaws. The flavor was, to borrow from its title, sublime. As a regular Opus X smoker, its flavor was mellow and not as complex, yet wonderful. The value was good for the size and smoking experience. Among the best island cigars I've had in the past three years.

"Aah, yes..."
Ok folks, sit back 'cuz this smoke takes a while. Very large and club like with a spongy feel. Mine was covered in plume in the box with 10 others all looking the same. Very nicely aged. I gotta thank Norman at Bogart's for pulling this one out of the special drawer and offering it to a tourist. Loved it. Almost didn't want to smoke it 'cuz it looked so good and cost so much. Oh well... Great flavor all the way through with the usually butter-toffee cream lulling me into deep relaxation. Try it and the Sigla VI if you can find it.

"Fancy"
The fanciest cigar I've had and the 1st cuban I've had (from a shop in St. Maarten). This is a giant piece of tobacco and it is so strong that it could grow a pair of legs and start walking around. The flavor is potent but not harsh, good burn, I was very impressed with the Cohiba Sublime.

"Outrageous"
Best Cubano I ever smoked, period. Maybe the best cigar I've ever smoked. Yeah, it's expensive and hard to find, but there is no denying the flavor of the Sublime. Very, very full bodied, tasted earthy and chocolately and became more intense as the burn approached my fingertips. Beautiful looking smoke with a rosado wrapper, the aroma is awesome. If you love a good Cuban, TRY IT!

"THIS IS A BEAST!"
This is the best Cuban I can recall lighting up. I was lucky to get 2 in a Cuban sampler pack, and I am torn as to whether I should smoke the 2nd one. These are delicious, full smokes and you better be prepared to put aside about 1.5 hours for this colossus. Flavor is MONSTROUS and yet smooth. GET some and enjoy!

"Over rated Cuban again"
I am always anticipating that perfect cigar. The CUBAN mystique adds to that anticipation...but it can also add to frustration. This cigar looks soo good, but as soon as I lit up, it tasted like musty leaves and dirt mixed together...very dissapointed. I was even more unhappy when my friend who also purchased one a few months ago in a different country had a similar review. Sad.

"Not the best"
This is a great cigar, but just doesn't stand up as the best. Although its not a popular thing to say, Cuban Cigars, with respect for a complete cigar, cannot compete with a Fuente Anejo, or a Padron Anniversary. The consistency just isn't there. The draw and burn are not what they should be for the number 1 cigar.

Wow, the Cohiba Sublime provides a marvelous smoking experience! This fine cigar was well constructed and a perfect burn for the entire duration of the smoke. Tastes of coffee, cream cocoa, almonds and earthy notes make this cigar most enjoyable. I have 6 sticks left from the first box I bought in early 2005 and just purchased another box to age in my largest humidor.

"Probably one of the BEST Cuban cigars EVER MA"
There's just not much to say about cigar perfection. Yea, it's expensive. But, what an experience! I've smoked quite na few boxes of these lovely sticks. NEVER a bad experience in draw, construction, appearance, or flavor. Fresh or aged over a year these are the reference point for a Cuban cigar. Personally, I cannot imagine how a cigar could possibly be better!

From the first glance you can tell the leafs were from the top of the plant.. there weathered, thick and beautiful to look and feel. "Don't smoke these yet..."
This cigar surely has class and the fact that it is a large sized limited edition Cohiba enhances the experience in itself. However, flavor was just raw and strong (and I am a person who typically enjoys the stronger Cohiba, Montecristo and Partagas). There was no complexity and I didn't find any of the typical Cohiba flavors in it. My conclusion is that this cigar is way too young to be smoked yet. A powerhouse like this should be aged for at least another year or two before smoking. The sad thing is this very thought went through my mind before lighting up but I couldn't resist trying it. Don't make my mistake. Be patient.

"The best smoke to date"
I had the fortune to purchase just the one cigar from the factory shop in Havana. Whilst sitting in a bar a couple of days later I smoked this beast whilst drinking some dark Cuban rum. The whole experience is one I shall treasure. The cigar had a smooth cool taste that lasted from start to finish. Just didn't want to put it out. I smoke Cohiba Siglo VI as a matter of choice, but this cigar was simply the best cigar I have smoked to date.

"Tough to top"
What a cigar. A behemoth with class and oh lots of flavor. Perfect construction. The dark cocoa wrapper is quite appealing. The flavors encompass every type of cocoa and coffee and earthen flavor known to mankind. It takes a good long while to smoke about 3 hours at one's leisure and pairs well with a good strong cognac. It left me speechless and wanting more. A few years of aging will turn this cigar into a perfect 10.

Someday this cigar will be a star. Until then it is a promising smoke. The first half of this smoke was simply amazing. After that it started showing its youth. The flavor was overpowered by the heat, and the cigar just got a bit to agressive. This cigar will live up to its billing.

"long awaited"
From what I hear, these beauties have been a long time coming, and I think they will be very worth it. I rec'd three boxes box marked Feb 04 from a friend about four weeks ago, and I've smoked 3 and put the rest in my best humidor to age. Even though they're very young, they are something else, with a sure-fire future. Already complex, with deep bean notes, both espresso and cocao, with some of the richest tobacco flavors I've had. Lush draw and great burn, they promise to be one of the best cigars to come out of Cuba, no mean feat after the Siglo VI and EL DC! The wrapper is, well, sublime, and so is the construction...Hope I can hang on to them!

"The new hotness"
Got a box of these and have laid them up in the humidor. I took one out knowing that LE need a little sleep time before they realy come into there own. This smoke is in the vein of the LE Cohiba torp, a personal favorite but a larger ring size. This is a full bodied smoke with great construction. I had an uneven burn for the first few inches but the stick worked itself even.
At this point if you don't have a good connection for cubans then you will get bent over for a box of these. They are limited and getting a lot of press and that means over the odds pricing.

I would say that this is a cross of the Monte LE double corona and a Cohiba torp very different from the Siglo VI that is my current number one smoke. Before I pass final judgement I will test out a few more.
