"Epitome of Great"
I was gifted one by a good friend as a birthday smoke. All I can say is wow! In the past, I have had ISOM Cohibas that really were horrible. This was a fabulous robusto that burned even and had a great flavor right to the band!

"Very good, but..."
Full yet smooth and refined flavor. Grassy notes and some flavors of salt came through at times. The construction was perfect. Overall, a great cigar. However, when one pays $22 bucks for a smoke, value has to come in to consideration. This is the area in which this cigar suffers. It was not any more enjoyable than many other fine robustos I've had. Don't get me wrong, it was an excellent cigar, but no better than a Boli RC, RASS, or VR Famosos, which are all half the price. The bottom line is that you pay quite a bit just for the label.

"One of the Best Cigars"
This is a second rewiew of this cigar. I aged the cigars for three years prior smoking them. Once again these cigars are the best and can be smoked any time of the day. It is one of my favorite cigars. It is not very strong but is a complex and creamy smoke. It starts as a smooth and mild aroma. The flavor is slightly peppery, earthy, and leatherly with hints of hay and cedar. The construction is perfect and the draw is great. It has godd consistency from one to the neck. It is expensive but worth the price.

"Nothing Ecceptional About It"
Perhaps its an aging thing- newer box 3 months old- average if best in flavor. Nothing but average tobacco flavor. Very slight spice finish. major nicotine rush- that's about it. To the lower level of my cabinet for 5 years they'll go and will report back in 2013.

"Even Better when Aged!"
There is no doubt that Cuban Cohibas are a leading brand. I have a box of robustos aging for 2-years in my humidor and I decided to smoke one as a benchmark and WOW what a cigar! The smoke is rich with the spicey Cohiba flavor. The draw is fantastic and the smoke superb. Splurge on a box and age it!

"The best cigar I've had!"
I recently got hold of a 3 pack of these Cuban Cohiba Robustos and wow! The flavor is unlike anything else I've had and this stick was remarkably smooth. I did have some uneven burn with one of the cigars, but the other two were flawless. I will definitely make an effort to get more of these for the future!

"Make the plunge"
I finally gave in a picked up five of these "classics" with my last shipment. They were specially priced with a minimum order. After letting them sit a few weeks in my humi, after a fine meal and great glass of bordeaux, I fired one up. And it didn't disappoint. Wow! I'm a huge Monte No. 2 fan and this stick rivals if not exceeds the overall pleasure of those smokes. Even at the "cheap" price it's still spendy (for my wallet) but definitely worth the experience.

This is truly one of the best robustos around. Beautiful construction, some veins on the wrapper however. The draw is nice and creates a lot of smoke. The tobacco is a tad stronger than the Siglo series. Overall a great robusto.

"An above-average Cohiba"
My favorite Cuban cigars are Cohibas. They have such rich history and smoke beautifully. Although I'm not a fan of robustos I had the opportunity to get a 3-pack. Its a standard Cohiba cigar but didn't burn as well as I would have liked it to. But its still one of the best robustos in the world.

Very good robusto, without doubt one of the best.Great construction.fine draw nice ash, linear burn. A complex medium body smoke, spicy and grassy can only get better with age. I always have some in my humidor but in all truth i prefer RAlones sps's for fuller taste or Bolivar RC's for complexity not to mention the price.Classy smoke though these Cohibas, it's good to have them in stock and treat your self from time to time with one of those robustos.

I bought one of these babies in Tokyo a few months back and have been sitting on it. I tried to make it for a year but I just couldn't wait. Boy was it worth it! I don't get into trying to explain all the flavors, what I taste and what you taste can and usually are completely different. This was one of the best Cubans I've had, just under the Monte Edmundo in my book. If you ever get a chance to try one enjoy it.

First, aged ones are the way to go. I'm rating this on one that was aged 4-5 years. Flavor profile is great. Earthy, leathery flavors that linger on your palate. "My Favorite Robusto"
The Cohiba Robusto is my favorite robusto. It's a medium to full bodied cigar and has a powerful yet smooth smoke with an incredible balance of coffee, cinammon, earth and Cohiba spice flavors. This cigar ages well. Divide the number you purchase and smoke half and age the remainder. My in-laws live in Canada but vacation in Cuba. I always ask them to purchase a box so the price I pay are per Cuban national stores.

"Very, very good"
First off, I need to comment on this cigar's construction. The wrapper on these Robustos are some of the finest I have ever seen, zero veins, smooth as silk. Smooth to touch, yet very firm. Top notch construction. Great pre-lit smell. Flawless draw and burn, with tons of smoke. Flavors of grass and cocoa dominant throughout the cigar, becoming more complex nearing the end. Not as full bodied as I expected from reading the reviews, but very powerful all the same. A very very good smoke, paticularly given that the sticks are young, Oct-05. They can only get better in a few years.

"Good"
A reprise review for me from a cab I purchased with box code NJP 9/04. This robusto sports a rich, brown wrapper with minimal veins. The traditional triple cap is present. Hefty in the hand, it's construction seems excellent, with a firmness and resilience that appears spot on. Easy light. Good draw. Even burn, though required 2 relights, which may be attributable to the fact I was talking whilst I smoked it. Gray black ash. Started with white and black pepper and spice. The first third brought flavors of grass, vanilla, cocoa, and a hint of milk chocolate. The middle third saw notes of soil, berries, grass, and barnyard hay. The last third continued with the traditional Cohiba grassy flavor with a hint of plum and a mild "twang". All in all, this full bodied smoke appears to be coming along nicely. An enjoyable robusto, with the potantial to be one of the best, I would say, though, that it still needs more time to show it's true colors.....

"Mmmm...tasty"
The entire Cohiba line is spectacular and the robusto is no exception. It might be the prettiest cigar on the planet...gorgeous wrapper with intense color...sexy bands with embossed lettering...and beautifully made. The flavor profile is complex and the finish is satisfyingly long. Spice is prominent but not overwhelming...nice balance. Overall this is a world class smoke.
Now a comment on those who rated this cigar the equivalent of a Swisher Sweet...try to be a bit more unbiased. Do you really feel that your review is an accurate representation of this smoke? A 5? A 2 for flavor (that is downright nasty on the scale). If you really feel that this cigar is of lesser overall quality than an El Rey Del Mundo...well, then I am not sure I want to read any of your reviews because you either have an axe to grind or have a palate that has been terribly distorted by a tragic crack overdose. How much a cigar costs or it's status should not impact your review...

"Cohiba Robusto"
I agree in part with the overpriced comments that are expressed here but I know that these cigars are made with great care attention to perfection which makes them rare, etc. So the price might be the market pressures. Not like some forced "limited release" cigars on the market slapping huge price tags on mediocre cigars. That being said this cigar is great. I like the Lancero, and I think the Sancho Panza Belisco is a better bargin, better but I would smoke this anytime and enjoy.

"Terribly Overrated"
Cohiba is the one brand that has become a household name...Even in households with no cigar smokers. While the line remains consistent, and the construction is excellent; this brand is extremely overrated.
Yes, this is one smoker's humble opinion; but it comes after smoking many different sizes over the span of 15 years. It's just not as good as the hype that precedes it.
This includes the Robusto. Nothing is spared in it's beautiful presentation...Varnished slide lid box, beautiful rings (though I prefer the original), and nice wrappers with good sheen.
It better have all that, considering it is THE most expensive Cuban robusto on the market.
It's not a terrible cigar, but it just doesn't seem to have the complexity that such a celebrated cigar should; despite the cost. There is a basic core of tobacco tastes, some earthy qualities, and a salty finish. Very ordinary, and does not compare to such great robustos as those from El Rey Del Mundo, Ramone Allones, or Saint Luis Rey; which are all complex in taste....And literally half the cost or less.
For obvious reasons, this is also one of the most counterfeited cigars, so newcomers beware.

2 Partagas series D #4's to 1 of these? I am not sure its worth that. Judging it without the price in mind is hard to do when these cost $25.00 per. It is however a very, very good smoke, I have smoked quite a few from my 04 box. No matter how you cut it though, I wouldnt trade you 2 partagas SD4's , or 3 boli RC, or 3 RASS for 1 of these, which is what the price suggests that they are worth.

"Good but overpriced"
As is typical of most Cohibas, the price tag is pretty high. That said, it is definitely a quality smoke, with creamy flavors and a mild to medium body. There were occasional fleeting bits of charry and cocoa brilliance but otherwise it lacked the punch of some other better habanos like the Rafael Gonzales petit corona (at 1/3 the price). The Siglo I and III are also much better IMHO.

"Good"
An expensive but tasty smoke. Smooth milk chocolate wrapper with minimal veins. Construction felt solid with no soft spots and just the right amount of "give". Nice prelight aroma. Easy light. Smooth draw. Gray-white ash. Tons of rich, creamy smoke. The burn was an issue for me despite ideal storage conditions in that it canoed on one side for over half the cigar, demanding touch-ups with both saliva and the lighter, though no formal "relight". Started with traditional Cohiba flavors of medium tobacco and grass. This foundation was present thoughout the entire stick. In the middle third, notes of vanilla and a very light dusting of cocoa was noted. In the last third, the grassy note became more prominent and the tobacco flavor became more "toasted". All in all, this one hour medium-to-full bodied smoke was enjoyable, thought the burn issues detracted somewhat from the overall experience. There is definitely some Vitamin N here, as I had a buzz by the end of the stick. It is expensive for what it is, which is a given, but still a pleasure to smoke - even though it won't make it into my regular rotation.

Outstanding construction and burn is all i've had from this cigar. Never a tight draw or a bad burn. It's a complex smoke in the flavor department too. "It deserves its reputation"
To say that a Cohiba Robusto is a good cigar is pretty obvious...what is really amasing is the great balance of this stick, it's powerful but so smooth someone takes it for "mild" (it is not, make you sure), it's so beautifully flavoured but all these flavours blend very well together, it's very well built and so on....Only issue is price, although in Europe less so ($ 15/18 a piece). All in all, possibly the greatest cuban robusto, in a tough competition arena.

Sampled a couple of these with a friend the other evening. Both burn and draw were exceptional. He enjoyed his more than I enjoyed mine, although I thought it was quite a good smoke. I guess the difference being that I paid for them, and he simply sat back and enjoyed. That's the point when you get right down to it. This cigar is a quality mild to medium bodied robusto, but not worth the premium price tag. I see no reason to pay substantially more for this cigar when there are other cheaper/better Habanos. That having been said, this is a very good smoke that appeals to experienced and beginners alike. Worth a try.

"Great smoke; Too Expensive"
In honor of the Houston Astros going down honorably, I smoked a Cohiba robusto for the first time. It was a tonic to my misery. For the ash fans, the first one hung for a full inch and a half. The flavor was medium to full and complex. I smoked it to the nub. However, during the game, I smoked a Gran habano Corojo Rothschild. It was not as perfectly constructed, but it was delicious. I am not saying it was as good, but it pointed out that the price differential is an important player in today's market. I reserve my Habanos for special occasions. It is as much an ideal as it is it for a great smoking experience. The cohiba robusto is a great cigar, but I like the Ramon Allones more. If you pay the price, it is worth it, but there are others for less, that without comparing rings, give you as much pleasure. A "10" cigar with a "5" price.

My father-in-law shared his small stash with me one fine summer evening. The night before we had smoked some very good non-ISOMs I had brought along, and we wondered how much better this Cohiba could possibly be in comparison. Answer: A whole lot better indeed! I haven't smoked very many Cubans, so I was surprised to find this one to be only medium in body, not a real head-kicker. But this gorgeous Robusto was unbelieveably clean and smooth tasting. I smoked it down to the nub, and we were both sad to have this fine experience come to a close. But it never really grabbed me and made me look at it and say...This is one fine cigar. I smoked it to the end, and the cigar was smooth and rich to the end. A great cigar? "Very impressed"
Now I see what they mean when they say how incredible this cigar is. I loved the flavor. Flavorful yet smooth. Good draw and burn. Can't wait to get my hand on another.

"OVERRATED"
Always holding out for a really good one of these but still have not had one. Always really moist right out of the box and always has a strange crunching sound when you squeeze them. Nice construction but no real flavor. Strong and packs a buzz but no flavor.

"A Delectable Delight"
The best robusto on the market today. Second to none. Taste, draw, burn, and construction are the best.

"One of the Best"
Though I prefer Cuban cigars to any others, as it is so obvious from my reviews, I am not particularly crazy about Cohiba; my all time favorite is still R&J. But I have to pay due to this Robusto. It is very good. Beautifully constructed, attractive appearance, unique flavor, very rounded and balanced.

"when they're great . . ."
when you get a good one, I can't say enough good things about them, but when one starts burning unevenly (it happens) the letdown is catastrophic, - the flavor and experience are totally ruined.

"Second Best!"
As far as I am concerned, this is the second best Robusto, after R&J LE. Great Robusto with exclusive Cohiba flavor and almost perfect construction. Twang, sweetness, creamy smoke it is all there. Very hyped cigar, but it is all justified. In the world of cigars Cuba is the King!

"Classic Smoke"
Well, what can i say which hasn't been said already. A classic great smoke. Much better than it's Dominican counterpart, with more consistent flavor and less harshness. Enjoy!

"Love it"
A real beauty to look at, good construction and an abundance of strong flavors. My wife says it really stinks, when she says that I usually love the cigar. She said that if I smoked these in the military there wouldn't have been any reception lines to go through. Great cigar.

Is there a better cigar? A medium to full bodied cigar that's slightly sweet, with hint of nuts and spice. Perfect from start to finish in every way. Each cigar from the box has been so good that I've smoked every one down to the nub. Everyone should have

The best smoke there is as far as I'm concerned. From start to finish, they are unbelievable. Nutty/toasty with hints or spicy cocoa and caramel. Beautiful appearance and construction. It's almost like they smoke themselves, they burn so incredibly well.

I was gifted a good one and folks nearby wanted to try it. In fact, too many wanted to try it.
The Robusto can be a high quality smoke that you just have to pay for once in a while.
