"Worst value ever, not all cigar's fault"
Well, it happens, right? It happens that you have forgotten your cigars, and that you really want to smoke...I was in Naples, FL, on a public beach nearby the Ritz Carlton when I was hit by a terrible envy of smoking. I went to the beach bar of the Ritz and, althougth I was not a guest of the hotel, I was very courteously invited to enter and was taken by a waiter to the hotel sundry shop. Very classy, but I almost fainted when I was asked 37 dollars for a Special R, tax and matches included of course. Not that I gave up, I paid with a smile hoping at least I was doing a good smoke. Not at all. This Special R, as beautiful as ever from the outside, couldn't stay lit in the wind and was so bitter tasting I almost threw up...This will learn me to forget my cigars at home. At least, at Ritz's they have gained a client, but I shall go there with MY cigars...

"The good life."
I bought a box at the Davidoff store in Geneva. Very smooth tasting cigar. It's toasty flavor is a little light but very enjoyable. I smoked this overlooking a lake from my hotel room balcony in Nyon, Switzerland. I was drinking glass of swiss wine and watching a thunder storm in the distance. Overall the experience was breathtaking and enhanced greatly by one of the finest cigars I have ever smoked. Unfortunately I will have to ration these smokes due to the insane price of these sticks.

"great cigar, dont overpay though"
This is the best medium blend out there. The tastiness of the quality tobacco is unparalleled. The taste is not complex, but consistently excellent. The first cigar to come to mind when I hear "fine cigars" is the Special Rs

"ooops"
Pretty disapointed in this cigar. Was in Vegas for the weekend and was told to check out the Davidoff selection. Very nice construction, tons of smoke, not a great taste. For the $20 (Vegas price) i spent, I expected alot more.

This cigar looks really good, the smoke is very thick. But the taste is a bit on the toxic side

"Insignificant"
Absolutely insignificant as all the Davidoffs. Looks nice in appearance and construction but there is no flavor at all and the ash is quite flaky. Not a pleasant smoking experience. Disposed of it halfway. Compliments to the marketing team at Davidoff !!

"What's all the hype about?"
This cigar was harsh from the start. Tasted like burning styrofoam. I don't understand the comparison to Cubans at all. Maybe I just got a bad one, but at $18 a pop I'm not likely to try another.

"Where's the beef?"
A beautiful cigar. The best construction you'll find outside of Havana. The burn was even and the draw was easy. The flavour was nice, but a bit subtle. This robusto could've used a little more "kick". A little on the expensive side too. But, if you enjoy a really smooth smoke, this is the one for you!

"Fantastic"
This is one of the finest N/C robustos I have ever had. It had a very cuban-like depth and complexity but a mildness that is unique. Construction was flawless. Burn and draw were perfection. The flavor was great. The price was a little steep. I'll stick with cubans at half the price.

Lovely construction and perfect, easy draw. The tatse disappointed me a bit. It had spice but no aftertaste. The taste just disappeared leaving nothing in my mouth.

"Big Buck"
Nice aroma, obviously crafted with top grade, aged leaf. Really neat appearance. This baby was strong for such a pale-face. All assets considered, still not worth 10 bucks for such a brief smoke.

"Great Smoke"
I love these cigars. I usually smoke Cuban cigars, but the Davi SR is a welcome change...but only if it's aged. I only buy the ones at my local shop that have yellowed bands and cello. The newer ones are a bit acrid sometimes, but the older ones are creamy with wonderful wine like and citrus flavors, not totally unlike a Cohiba Robusto. One of my favorite non-Cuban cigars.
