"Fine, Fine Smoke"
Sports a fairly smooth and just slightly oily dark brown wrapper. Has a nice solid and tightly packed feel. Mellow pre-light aromas of earth, leather, charred wood and dark chocolate. Draw was easy and burn was just as consistent and even as possible. Long, persistant gray-black ash. Flavors were surprisingly smooth and fairly mild for such a dark Maduro. Silky smooth flavors of dark chocolate, molasses, earth, leather and burnt wood come to mind. Stayed smooth to the nub with no harshness or heat. Just a superb smoke.

"Another winner!"
Yesterday I tried and was very satisfied with the Robusto #5. This cigar is an inch longer - and $3 more - but construction and flavor are consistent. Beautiful smooth wrapper. It was mild, but creamy and never became harsh. Again, the thick ring gauge made it a challenge to keep lit and burn evenly. The price ($14.25 in NYC) prohibits this cigar from becoming an everyday smoke. Will add a few to the humi to enjoy over the summer.

"Lovely mild cigar"
i've had two of these so far. The first was my favorite cigar to date and had been aged for over a year. It like black cherries and was creamy. The second is about 8 months old and not quite as good. It's a bit fuller though. Let some of these age and you will be rewarded with one of the best mild cigars

"Good mild cigar, but expensive"
Beautiful appearance, great construction, and a very nice mild to medium body. The aroma is very mild for about the first quarter of the cigar, and about halfway through the aroma and flavor intensified nicely. Very even burn all the way through. For almost $11 though, I expected a bit more as far as flavor. I will certainly consider this smoke again though.

"Couldn't decide to eat or smoke it!"
I'm thinking I did the right thing by smoking it. I have been holding this cigar in my humidor for about a year knowing that this would be perfect for a special occasion. So July 4th(05), the time was right. I had a Ashton VSG the night before for the first time, and it was awesome. Great Fuente flavors came through, perfect burn and great aroma. I figured since I can't go wrong with anything associated with Fuente, I'd do the Diamond Crown while watching fireworks. As I examined the perfect wrapper I couldn't wait to light it up! The first few puffs were very bland but smooth. Fine I thought, give this until after the first ash and all those great flavors would come through. This is the next day, and that cigar is still about 3 inches long. I tossed it into my flower bed in disgust. This sort of reminds me of my first Dom. Monte #2. All hype, no flavor. I would have done better to smoke rolled up paper bags as I did smoking this cigar. I've never had a Maximus, but I'll give one a try. It can't be worse than this one. Sorry, a beautiful cigar, but it just doesn't deliver.

"not a maximus"
this cigar was a big let down after having a diamond crown maximus first. i wasn't expecting it to be as good and it wasn't even close to the maximus. i would compare it to an ashton a good mild cigar not too complex, good aroma and taste. burn was good until the end when it began to burn unevenly.

"Cubanesque"
Looks ok....but not all that special. Good solid construction. The 1st inch holds nothing special. It kind of reminds me of a typical mild Dominican. There is a straightforward tobacco flavor here that reminds me a bit of your 1st unfiltered Lucky Strike or Camel. About an inch in the flavor starts to warm up. There is a distinct Cubanesque quality to the nose. A creamy mild to medium bodied cigar, with some nice mellow complexities. The Cubanesque aspect in the aroma intensifies in the 2nd half. Very nice!

"Expensive but good"
At $10.50 per stick, this may be one of those few and far between purchases. But there are plenty of reasons to buy again. Flawless construction with smooth wrapper and a very straight burn. Solid tobacco flavors the entire length in this medium to full body cigar. Only drawback is price.

"I've died and gone to heaven"
This is perhaps the best cigar I've ever smoked. The hell with Cubans, J.C. Newman has out done them all

"Not that good"
Maybe I was expecting too much, but I thought that this was a fair tasting cigar at best. I know what the other reviewers think, but I have had cigars at half the cost that tasted better. I was disappointed in the taste for the cost.

"Not Bad!"
Still . . . it's not an Opus X, however, not bad at all. A real creamy smoke . . . but don't know if I'm going to pay $12.00 for this one again. If the price is right, I would buy the box. The aroma was primo. However, it burned a tad unevenly. A cute little cigar.

"Excellent"
I love this mildish, sweet cream, smoke. Not a bad note in the whole experience. A favorite for those times that I want to enjoy a smooth, yummy ride without the fire-in-the-belly kick of, say a Cuban cigar.

A little too loosely wrapped, draw was too light, huge amounts of smoke, pretty good but I've had better for half the price

A mild to medium flavored large cigar. The construction and burn are excellent. The flavor is mildly spicey with a smooth nutty finish
