"It makes me sweat"
When ever I smoke one of these I start to sweat...even when its cold out. This is full body cigar with good flavor and power. A little pricey catch them when they are on special.

"Refined"
A great smoke, but not as extraordinary as the price would suggest. It's a smooth smoking cigar with a full bodied texture that has more of a genteel attitude than more powerful high-end cigars like the Opus X or Padron 26. The wrapper gives it a lot of complexity (though to be honest it looks like shite). The basic flavor is woody but it becomes increasingly earthy as the cigar progresses, and the wrapper adds that classic minty sweet accent typical of good cameroon. Smooth, great smoke production, and solid construction all the way. All told, a fantastic cigar to experience once or twice, but I won't be shelling out the MSRP on a regular basis.

"Why?"
Why spend so much for a cigar when you can get other cigars for a fraction of the cost? Despite what some want you to think, there are no ambrosia cigars. Yes, there are some very enjoyable cigars, but not all have big price tags or say Cohiba/Feunte/Isom on the band. This is a smooth cigar with nice flavor, but not so great that 20 bucks should leave your hand for it.

"Good cigar, big pricetag."
Fuente just makes some of the best NC cigars around, and this is no exception. Good draw with lots of smoke, good burn, good construction all around. A strong blend with some intermittent spice and sweetness, the sweet tones having a black cherry type of taste. A nice cigar indeed but the price makes it rather prohibitive....I would suggest treating youurself to one if you ever get to the Casa Fuente, and pairing it with one of their killer Mojitos.

"Outstanding Draw"
I was excited to smoke the gof. I've been sitting on it for 5 months and smoked it on my anniversary. This was the best drawing cigar I have ever had. I expected more flavor, and was a little disappointed. I believe there are better cigars at a lower price point, but I am happy I tried it.

"A rare/special occasion experience"
I have all the Carlito variety of this cigar but chose to try this one first. The experience was very enjoyable and I enjoyed it with a friend that appreciated the experience of smoking this rare cigar. If the flavor had matched the appearance and construction it would have been a knock out. It had a great draw, it burned evenly and held the ash almost to the end. Plan to save them until I see a good bloom and will try it again.

"Worth it for special times"
Review Notes: In Jul 06, I focused on smoking 5 different cigars, all of which were aging in my humidor for at least 6 months. I only smoke about 15 cigars a month, so value isn’t that important to me, but I’ll rate each cigar that way on this site. However, just so you know, value aside, the overall standings for the month were, 1. La Gloria Cubana Torpedo (maduro); 2. God of Fire by Carlito 2005; 3. Don Carlos Belicoso, 4. CAO Brazilia Samba; 5. Montecristo Platinum Mini Belicoso (tubos). The God of Fire construction, appearance, draw and burn was as good as it gets. It's one of those cigars that feels good just holding it. Flavor was not as full as I like, but had a nice complex spice to it that kept me interested. You hate to pay $30 for a cigar, but I have to say that although it doesn't hit my top 5 of all-time, it is clearly a superior smoke.

"I think I did it for the band"
There is no doubt this blemd is from the top shelf of one of the top... two farms in the the Dom. Rep. However it is very close to the Don Carlos model in this line, a little more spice maybe pepper but its suddle and always creamy smooth.
I liked it but for the money, keep the coffin, glue the band somewhere and remember the experiance.
