"Don't Pay MSRP For This!"
Shows an attractive slightly veiny coal black wrapper. Cut easily with my Palio but had some mild unraveling issues at the cut end. Burns quick with a very airy draw and some uneveness which needed a few touch-ups. Maintained a nice long light gray ash. This is a medium-bodied smoke and extremely smooth. Flavors of cocoa, leather, burnt toast, charred oak and a bit of spice come through nicely with lots of smoke.

Overall a pleasant and satisfying maduro, but nowhere near worth some of the high MSRP prices I've seemn of $15.00 or so per stick. I'd say these are very comparable to the 5 Vegas "A" series cigars which are a lot more reasonable in price and just as flavorful

"Overpriced/Over-rated"
I purchased this cigar as suggested by the retailer. I have read much about the much vaunted Greycliff cigar and thought I would give it a try. I was most disappointed in the lack of flavor and the fact that it burned like a rolled up newspaper. Don't think I will try Greycliffs again.

"Graycliff Expresso"
Full bodied cigar. Better than average, but not at the top end of premium cigar list. Less complex than the non-espresso pirate. Also a little pricey.

"Rich and complex"
One of the most unique and rich NC cigars available. Medium in body with flavors ranging from coffee, cocoa and earthy spice. Good burn with an occassional touch-up and gobs of smoke, people sitting near you will think there's a fire nearby. While hardly worth the $18 MSRP (not many current production cigars are), you can pick a 5'er of these up for $8-9 apiece with a little patience on the Devil site.

"disappointed"
I've had several Graycliff cigars over the past few years, and have been disappointed in them all. This one had hints of flavor, but overall was just strength and no finesse, IMHO. Burn was crooked and difficult to correct. The final third had promise, but became bitter. Maybe they're cranking them out a bit too fast?

"very good, but medium bodied"
I let this sit in my humi for about six month after purchasing before deciding to smoke. Appearance was very nice, dark brown and veiny. Upon lighting was expecting a full bodied cigar but more of a medium body. Excellant flavor, hints of coffee, leather and an earthy taste not unlike some cubans. It stayed consistant throughout, very enjoyble even at $22.

"Avelino Lara is a........"
genius. Never had a Graycliff that was not smooth as silk. Excellent full bodied smoke without any bite or bitterness. Chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, damp earth with some pepper at the start. Agree with everyone about the prices. If you can find them at at decent price, which I did, I highly recommend you give it a shot at least once.

"not for $20"
Upon reviewing cigar prices, this seemed out of hand, yet i had to try one. Local shop had stopped carrying them because of price. Simply put by owner "IT DON'T SELL". I ended up paying 2 for $15---all i want--any flavor!!! Aroma seemed pure cigar heaven. Great draw that burned uneven a few times. Appearance was not that appealing (for the price). I did nub it and would echo the previous reviewer on flavours. I would fairly price this at $10-$12. Almost every review says too much--get the hint Graycliff.

"Overpriced"
This cigar started out spicy and fullbodied with a dominant cocoa flavor. In the middle it dropped off to a medium body with indeterminate flavor and somewhat spicy. The second half alternated with leathery and coffee highlights, and ended as a fingerburner with full bodied coffee tones and plenty of Vitamin N. Undoubtedly a top quality cigar but $24? Try Padron 1964s, Juan Lopez Ep.1 or 2, or Partagas Serie D #4. Nearly as good at half or one quarter the price.

"I am truely sad"
A friend gave me this cigar, but he left it at my father in laws house (100 miles away). By the time I got the cigar it had dried out. I tried to bring it back, but after about 6 months in the humidor, it still didn't come back. Even in the poor condition, I was able to get an idea of how good this smoke would have been. There was a little flavor in the first part of the smoke but it only got worse. I will be looking to try another of these in the near future.

Simply the best cigar I've smoked. If you like full body, look no where else. Pricey, unless you buy a box or sampler with a fair price.
