"Yummy to Poopie"
A sad experience with this one. It wasn’t in the greatest shape, but it lit well and burned OK for a while, then the canoe settled in. The flavor was quite delicious for the first half, but became suddenly unbearable. I tried to work my way through the acrid spot, and it did let up some, but then it came back with vengeance. Dropped this one on the snow covered yard-pile and tried my best to scour the flavor left in my mouth with Absinthe. (It didn't work.)

"couldn't get excited"
Just didn't think much of this stick as it was inconsistent throughout and just would not maintain it's flavor which was pretty good when it was there.

"Time has not helped"
After nearly 5 months, I can report that the GLC Glorias extra is not any more exciting, at least for me. In this size, I will go with the Angel 100 1961, amazingly, at a lower price.

"Good Value, Good Construction"
After reading many favorable reviews of this stick, I took the plunge and bought a box of the Miami manufactured Glorias Extra. I cracked the box, letting them breath for around a week, and decided to see what the hype was about. A very unusual aspect was this crystaline sparkle that the cigars had, almost like glitter makeup, just a trace; certainly different from any other cigar! The box odor was very mild, and the maduro wrapper very distinctly darker than the filler and binder. The first cigar pulled had a slight flaw on the foot. My worries quickly evaporated upon lighting. With a cat's eye cut, the draw was just perfect, and the burn was very even. Flavor was somewhat light for the volume of smoke, but definitely lacks complexity. Pretty good value, but I tend to like a bit more spice.

"Maduro - Often Overlooked"
Tonight I am reviewing the La Gloria Cubana Glorias Extra Maduro. It sported a 61/2” length, 46 ring wrapped in an oily maduro wrapper. I had this one in the humidor for several months and decided tonight was the night to endulge this $3.00 stick. Yeah you heard me right, $3.00. Prelight aroma enticed my senses. I toasted the foot and then torched the perfect light. The first half inch had a bitterness that developed into a magnificent symphony of coffee and earthy flavors. In the first photo you will notice nearly a 31/2” ash. The ash grey and white with dense rings that you normally find in a $8.00 plus smoke. Volumes of thick white smoke accompanied with a bouquet of sweetness. My son told me this cigar smelled very nice. This particular LGC is not one of the more popular shapes and is often overlooked and underestimated. The second picture did not turn out too well, because my wife is down in Ecuador with our digital camera and had to use my camcorder. The third photo will show the second and last ash before I burned my fingers smoking it to the nub. I rate this smoke a low 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. This stick spells VALUE; just because you have value does not mean bland flavor.

"still decent"
2nd review. Oscuro wrapper with some color variation. Seedy texture, rough, and not particularly straight. Firm to the touch with a tighter draw than usual. Uniform white ash, tight roll, sweet smelling smoke. Still has the rich chocolate and sea salty undertones along with generous pepper spices, some fresh brewed coffee. A little better than the first, and still would smoke again.

"Tight but Flavorful"
Dark oily black wrapper with tons of flavor. It was tight but did not loosen up until 2/3s down. I will try another one out hoping the tightness is just a fluke.

"average at best"
Got a stick from local tobacconist's humidor and let "age" in my humidor about 2 months before smoking (65F/68%RH). The almost black wrapper was nice looking and the head clipped perfectly. The draw was a bit too firm and detracted from the smoke. Burn was OK but not entirely even. The smoke had an almost dry kind of taste but not bitter or astringent. The first two-thirds were pretty uniform in taste/flavor/body. I let it go out with maybe 3 inches left. The draw detracted from the experience along with the monotony of the flavor and taste. This smoke was perhaps slightly more than medium bodied. I prefer the medium to full or full bodied smokes, particularly if they have a bit of spiciness. This cigar had very little if any spice to it. I would smoke these again, if gifted to me, but IMHO there are significantly better smokes available for less than half of the $6 USD I paid. This was simply an average smoke.

"not bad"
Dark chocolate color, Even burn, light-grey ash and easy draw.
Starts out a bit salty, turning into some charcoal towards the middle. Hints of walnut, and in the 2nd half gets oily w/some elbow grease. Aroma reminded me of working on your car in the garage.
Not bad, but pretty simple on average.
Would try again.

"If you got a few months"
The five cigars I smoked were all aesthetically pleasing cigars that didn't live up to their attractive appearance. Construction was good but burn was poor on two. Pleasant medium bodied taste, that improved with every week in humi.
Most LCG's seem to ship before their time but become outstanding smokes after a few months.

"La Gloria Construction problems"
Like a lot of LGC's I've smoked lately the poor construction and burn hinders an otherwise great tasting cigar.

"Rock solid, great smoke"
Terrific smoke. Not my numero uno "go to" smoke but really one of my favorites. Spicy buzz to the palate. Great example of the LGC line. Recommended!

"Mmmmmmmmm........"
Over- looked & underrated cigar in my opinion dark natural Ecuadoran grown wrapper has been the original (cloud-grown) a.k.a. (sun-grown) long before everyone went ga-ga for it & started using this beautiful tobacco for there "skins"..........Earthy, spiced leather is a good taste description of these gems
