"did not like"
the scent was enjoyable, and alluring, but the flavor was too strong for me; i think it had that "leather" everybody so raves about. (I've only smoked about 4 cigars befor this one) It stuck together well, it burned evenly, mostly; a listtle expensive for the attack it had on my mouth.

"A boring smoke"
I was given a few of these as a gift and I smoked one right away while letting the other age for a few months. Both were well made and had a nice feel to them but the flavors never developed and I found myself bored both times and gave up less than halfway through the smoke. The second one also had a hard time staying lit.

"Tasty"
This is still one of my favorites because it tastes so good. The draw is tight, but the construction is great and the burn is even. The taste is rich and chocolaty and somewhat nutty, but it is a bit complex.

"Just not for everyone"
If I buy a stick instead of a bundle or box... this is it. It's an aquired taste, not top drawer. For some it's harsh, or they dislike the aroma. I think uniformity of taste and color is a bit irregular, but I like them a lot. Occasionally I get a SUPERB smoke out of these, sometimes mediocre.

"To quote one of the staff,"
....like a Macanudo.".....Wait! IT WAS A MACANUDO!!!! Well I guess that explains it. I would not recommend this brand as a whole to anyone, even beginners who aren't picky! I just can't see why they sell so much.

A decent average smoke. One problem: over-priced. Just not worth 4-5 bucks.

"Enjoyably mellow..."
People seem to look down their noses at this brand. Sure, its not got the flavour of a top cuban but its got a mellow sweetness that I found satisfying. On the other hand, its not a distinctive smoke and I'd bore of it, if it was all I had.

"I'd never turn down a free one...I think"
My second venture into this brand, this was a gift...the initial flavor reminded me Somewhat of a Hoyo Epicure No.2s' initial, only it had a little bitterness to it (and was milder of course)...the initial smell however reminded me of the fishing docks in Newport, OR! my curiosity (that something could taste far better than it smelled) led me to the second phase, and FINALLY I was greeted with that chocolate-espresso (still mild mind you) flavor that I expect from a maduro the crab smell mellowed out into a playdough like scent with a hint of vanilla (ehh)...finnish was cedary with a touch of spice. I think this stick is overpriced considering you could smoke a bolivar corona for just another buck.

Perfect burn and draw and nice construction, mild tasty maduro. Good morning cigar that went quite well with my coffee. Not really cost effective though.

"Worth a try"
This was a freebie from Macanudo during a recent event at the local smoke shop. Draw was fairly tight, and the first third was unimpressive, but it then turned very flavorful. Some sweetness of cocoa, then hints of leather and a little woody. Burned slow and even. Nice looking, oily, white ash, and bluish smoke. Overall a very enjoyable cigar. One I would not hesitate to try again.

"Need some chap stick now."
Though the flavor of this cigar was, overall, pretty good, I just couldn't get past the dryness of the wrapper. The guts were nice and spongy but the wrapper just dried me out. Nice tooth on this one, very very mild. So mild in fact that you can't even tell you're smoking a cigar when you swallow. Now that's mild. If you're looking for a mild, decent smoke, this is a good bet. But if I were you I'd go for something a little cheaper than this one like a La Gloria Cubana maduro or my personal favorite mild maduro, the Santa Rosa maduro corona, (if you can find it)... which is about half the price of this Mac.

"Just average"
I started learning about cigars with Macanudos. I prefer many other brands now. Got my last ones in a sampler deal. Was dissapointed with the construction and flavor. Doubt I'll get any more.

"Classy"
This cigar is one of the finest maduro's out there, and trust me, I love maduros. It has a great, cool flavor that never really gets bitter. The flavor is cool and almost minty, with a nutty, creamy aftertaste. What can I say, I've smoked over 20 of em, and I loved every one.

"Milquetoast Maduro"
I'm really happy that there are smokers out there who can appreciate Macanudos, and I thought I might finally be able to join them after trying this maduro. Flavor being paramount, my judgement of a good smoke has everything to do with taste and little to do with strength, but I found little of either in this cigar. Perhaps it would be an excellent introduction to more robust cigars for someone used to a mild blend, but if you're looking for spice, try a single before you invest in a whole box.

"An unqualified review"
I have smoked casually for years, and have just recently started paying serious attention to the quality and flavor of what I'm smoking. This cigar is the first one I've had since becoming more serious about cigars that has truly made me happy. It's a rich, complex smoke, but not harsh. While the draw was only a little above average, the flavor more than made up for it.

"Good...but still not a Padron"
Good strong, rich flavor...just a tad harsh and bitey. Nice, steady, even burn. I enjoyed the cigar and thought I might try it again, but it is more pricey than a Padron 2000 and not as good.

"Maduro well done"
First off, these are more oscuro than maduro. I love the sweetness of the wrapper and wish more maduros were this good.

I haven't smoked a Mac for quite a while and it is definitely a nice change of pace from the powerhouse smokes out now. I am very glad I have a box of these for a nice short sweet smoke.
