"If I were a rich man..."
Unlike the pale Connecticut wrappers that cover normal Macanudo Cafes, these have have a nice darker color. No. 12 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2006. Although it burns slightly unevenly, the draw is excellent and fills your mouth with lots of creamy smoke. It's toasty and nutty with vanilla and cream flavors. I do think these taste better than regular Macs; however, these cost twice as much and I wouldn't say they're twice as good. Maybe 1.5 times as good. Still, if money were no object, this is a good choice for a creamy mild-medium smoke.

"Absolutely..."
AWFUL. This MUST have been a dud. Pre-light draw was fine but taste was bitter, very bitter. This bitterness persisted through the first 5 or 6 puffs then finally went away. Flavor was nice after that - somewhat nutty with mild coffee. I wish it lasted longer because about an inch or 2 away was lurking extreme harshness AND MORE BITTERNESS!. Now I know how to smoke. I didn't subject this stick to high winds or incessant puffing or anything. I also know how to avoid buying a certain cigar again. Terrible value, even without the problems.

"Decent Nutty Smoke"
The one thing I like about Macanudos (besides hearing newbies mis-pronounce the name) is the unique nutty flavor. Other than that though, a pretty average cigar.

"a favorite"
I really enjoy this cigar i would not pay $10 for it but if you look you can find them for $6 and at that price it is excellent. I think it is better then the 1993 and 2000 years that i have had. i find myself always going back to them and always keep some handy. A very smooth cigar with light a bit of light nut flavor great with whiskey.

"no aging orgasm"
This cigar was really disappointing for a vintage of 8 years old. Cedary, slight nutty with a evolution to herbes, with a hint of fern. This vintage cigar has no change in taste from his second third. The end was agreeable. The draw and burn were excellent.

"Nothing great"
I expected this smoke to be a lot better than it was. Guess I just expected more for a vintage Mac. but it turned out to bet just another Mac. Nice construction and burn. Mild decent flavors. Just nothing great for the price.

"Nice overpriced smoke"
A nice enjoyable mild to medium flavor. Every one burned slow and even. Nice long white ash. Made well, but I still think a little overpirced.
