"Cuban Looker"
This is an old Havana brand that many of the locals smoke. This cigar has a classy look and burns very well. The flavors are not as robust as I would have liked, but it was a fine smoke nonetheless.

"Montecristo 2001 Double Corona"
Very good medium to full bodied cigar. As with reviewer before me, very difficult draw for first 2 inches of cigar. Much improved after that. Not my favorite size in a cigar, but definitely belongs in top 50 or so.

"Worthy"
This had to be one of the finest looking cigars I have ever seen. The oil on this wrapper looked as they were sprayed with armorall. Beautiful & smelled very delightful. Not my usual preferable size, but I knew I probably would not see this again anytime soon. The first inch or two was very difficult on the draw, but as soon as I got passed that point, it finally opened up. Great leathery flavor with very pungent notes of spice on the finish. The last three inches of the cigar gained strength but added more of a charred espresso bean kind of taste. Burned fairly even, but took about 2 hours to smoke. Why do I care, I had nothing better to do but enjoy. Despite the begining, one to enjoy, but not really considered a classic.

"Incredible smoke"
This smoke had it all...slow, slow burn, took almost 2 hours to smoke. Perfect draw with gobs of smoke, and a razor sharp burn. But the complexity...that's where the amazement comes. Started smooth with hints of vanilla...then turned spicy, an expresso filled powerhouse. Again and again it changed, sweet, spicy, smooth, just amazing complexity. Wish I had a box, but I hope to find another one of these someday!

"Nice cigar"
Just smoked this today. Dark, veiny cigar with a nice draw (touch firm). It started off mild with a cool smoke, and slowly developed into a medium bodied ,complex cigar with an earthy overtone and hints of cocoa and vanilla. I also noticed a bit of almond flavor. Overall, it was nice cigar.

"Lush"
Thick smoke, slow burn, LUSH draw. This cigar was not visually pleasing. (Veiny and not a solid shade of brown) This gar was mild for a Cuban of this length. Traditional Monte flavor with hints of chocolate. Smoked to the nub.

"Holy SH## This is Good"
I ordered a box based on the Top25 rating and reviews. I have only smoked one stick but boy was it awesome. Great construction, burn was even although went out twice. But the flavor and development was complex and fantastic. I am not one of those pepper leather types. What I know was that this was head an shoulders above the typical LE smokes from Cuba andmy new benchmark.

"Great EL lasted hours"
I got one of these as a gift a couple of years ago and it was one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. Smoother and more measured than the Monte A, this cigar seemed to last for hours. In retrospect it was probably only two hours, but those were two of the greatest hours of smoking ever. Dark wrapper and a perfect roll.

"Not sure what happened..."
Arguably one of the best looking cigars I have ever seen. Unfortunately I really had a dud. The construction was horrendous with a very tight draw, and it kept going out. The flavor was better than average, and i agree will be great with time. The construction issue was just to much to overcome.

"Powerhouse"
Just got a few from a friend who just came back form the base in England. Since the last review by MO could not wait and smoked two of them. This is a true powerhouse cigar – very full-bodied, but not harsh at all, very smooth for a gar with so much flavors and complexities.
Smoked all the way to my thumb and enjoyed every single puff.

"Very Special"
This cigar is quite special -- it needed to be, since I had to pay $375 for a box, damn that Rasputin! Anyway, this cigar was the slowest burning I have ever smoked, it takes forever to get through it, and what a pleasurable ride indeed. The flavor is like 100 shots of espresso distilled down to one cup, it's very strong. However the smoke is not at all harsh, and will clearly age very well. My only complaint was the draw was a bit tight, but I think it's my fault -- smoked it right out of the box with no time to dry. I highly recommend this cigar. FYI, box code for this review is SCO DIC 02.

"The king is still here!"
I am new to this Web site. Just came back from Havana and want to share my experience with you. One can actually go to Cuba through Canada, or Mexico without having a stamp in your passport. All true cigar lovers and aficionados must, I repeat must have Havana experience. Great People, great Cigars, gorgeous Women! I do not care about the rest. MC DC is one of the best powerhouse cigars out there. Complex, balanced, strong, full bodied with lots of complex flavors. Perfect draw, had to relight only once, after not puffing for 3 min. Very smooth, but be aware it will knock you on the button, if you get too much out of it. Take your time smoking! Cuba Rules in the cigar world, period!

"Awesome!"
Awesome!
Just paid a promotional price of $210 for a box of 25 Monties Double Corona LE. In the nutshell – a true Cuban cigar with “strong character” and lots of flavor. I will not go about describing other features of this cigar, just take my word for it – buy it and enjoy it. If you do not like this cigar – quit smoking, period! I hope this vitola does not go up in price and Habanos stays consistent with the quality. But just to be on the safe side I ordered 10 more boxes at $210 and I hope I will get them, cause once this baby hits stores the price will go way up!
