Mild spice and sweet cedar are bountiful in this light-bodied smoke with a mildly spicy but lingering finish. Great and opulent aroma.

This is by far the most consistent and pleasurable smoke i've ever had. Perfect draw and loads of creamy, chocolately flavors.

"Good favor"
it's a great cigar with the exception of the price. I got a a box dated Dec 06. The draw is fine. The appearance was a good brown. The cigar is smooth over the favor to me was coffee. Even though the price is $18.00. It was the best $18.00 cigar.

"Very nice"
If a cigar can have a creamy leather profile, this is it. Medium bodied with a smooth leather taste, and a nice draw with lots of smoke. I had to give it a couple re-lights, but besides that it was very good. Milder and less "spicy: than the Monte #2s and #5s, a good pre-dinner cigar.

"almost perfect"
This cigar displays everything you ask for expect the draw. I bought five of these in burmuda and the draw was like trying to smoke a piece of wood. $16 because of burmuda taxes.

"Birthday Cigars"
I got a box of these as a bday present and put them in my humidor for a few weeks before smoking them. Definite difference between a cuban cigar and other geographies. This cigar was a great smoke although it had trouble staying lit. Draw was smooth and the taste was leather and coffee and cream. Tobacco a little grey for my eyes but overall very good cigar.

"Montecristo #1"
Good cigar with lots of flavor, but a bit tight on the draw. Smoked one the next day after a #2, and liked the #2 better.

"Good things come in small packages"
Purchased a 5pack in an airport tobacco shop. taking it out of the box the construction was superb. upon lighting it drew much tighter than i expected ( A pleasant surprise) This little beauty was a flavor bomb it started out with a citrus floral hint turned a little leathery ended up with a coffee with cream.

"Sweet"
This is by far the best in the no. series from the monty that really hit the spot for me. Really has that sweet Montecristo tobacco taste mixed with the cuban twang. GREAT! On the flip side, draw can be a problem at times.

"Short of perfection...but not by much"
This was a very nice smoking experience. Beautiful wrapper. Very Good Construction. Nice flavor profile. Mellow, leathery tones with a bit of chocolate and nut...smooth finish. I stuck mine in the humi for 6 months...and the draw was pretty tight. It is a beautiful thing to look down at the Monte label and see "Habana" on it. One minor complaint. I had to suck as hard as a hoe inhaling a watermelon through a garden hose. This is what kept my review from being World Class. Great flavor and a damn fine cigar.

"Subtle and Brilliant"
Smoked a recent production and was bowled over by the strong flavor of vanilla bean and leather. Medium bodied, not harsh, and consistent flavors. A must have.

"great smoke"
I've been letting a few of these sit in my humidor for the last 6 months and they are smoking great right now. Beautiful colorado wrapper that burned perfectly. It was a medium bodied smoke that started off with sweet nutty flavor that became more cedary as the cigar reached the middle third. In the last third the cedar flavor receded and the cigars sweet flavors became more pronounced. I hated putting this cigar down.
Perfect cuban.
Perfect cuban.

"Unremarkable"
I smoked this cigar less than 24 hours ago and I can't remember a thing about it's flavor. I remember it being very plain. The wrapper was rough and very toothy, it didn't hold much of an ash, it just wasn't that satisfying. The draw was probably the nicest part of this smoke.

"A classic lonsdale.."
This one seduces the palate with notes of chocolate and leather along with excellent balance..a rich flowery aroma .... a Monti worthy of it's heritage.
