"Petite Edmundo that Couldo"
I've got to agree with IceHog3...the surprise was I got was a bit of a "slap" at the end. I'm hoping that some age will bring out more character? All in all...not bad.

"Pretty Good"
I was expecting more from these, but after adjusting my expectations and smoking a few more I'm ready to say they're pretty good -- not stellar, but pretty good. They start out nicely with mellow straight forward tobacco flavors, a good draw and straight burn. About midway the beans come marching in over a mildly leathery foundation. Later on there's a little pepper on the palate, but by this time it's burning a little hot. Right when it starts getting really good, it's done. Not a bad cigar by any means, but I'll be sticking with the smaller ring gauges to get what I want from Montecristos.

"Disappointing"
What a disappointment! Uneven burn, little smoke, draw not effortless, bitter flavor, became hot towards the last third. Although not very expensive, definitely not worth the money. Reading through previous reviews I wonder whether we smoked the same cigar!

"My new Daily"
A friend gave me a box of these as a give while in Paris recently. I really enjoyed them. Some people are put off by the size, but I rarely have an hour plus to devote to a cigar without letting it die out. This smoke is everything a cigar should be, from the construction to the draw. I am consistantly smoking these to the band.

"Good potential"
Smoked my first tonight, relatively fresh. The good: perfect burn, great draw with lots of smoke, and the 52RG made it feel like a truly substancial cigar. Not really any "bad" but the 1st half was very one-dimensional....good tonacco flavor but little else. As the cigar progressed, some good leather and coffee flavors appeared, but the smoke still tasted "young". That being said, it was still a good cigar, and I look forward to seeing what some age will do for these cigars.

"Petit Edmundo One of the BEST"
Split a box and these were AMAZING right off the bat. A dynamic cigar that devliers new flavor with every puff. Love the new length, and not a moment was spared from the initial light, it kept evolving throughout. The short fat robustos are such a great shape, and they really pack it with flavor. More Cubans should emulate this SHAPE & Strong FLAVOR. Juicy and left a delicious long finish. They have only gotten better with a little age. One of the best smoking experiences out there!!!

"Another excellent Monty!"
Pick up a few of these & was not disapointed in the least. Everything you would expect from a Monty Edmundo, but in a shorter amount of time. Construction was great, nice even burn, creamy & spicey, I was so enthralled I burned my fingers on the nub! I'm actually getting ready to order a box right now!!

"Great"
I smoked the first two right out of the box and they were ordinary. The third was about a week later and there was vast improvement. The fourth was about a week and a half later and it was outstanding. Started out earthy and peppery. Great draw and burn which lasted all the way. About halfway through, it became very nicely sweet, but not too sweet and the pepper went to the background. Wonderful complexity of flavor and character. I would think that these will only get better with a little more age. The box code was Feb. 07.

"Awesome"
This was a great cigar. I would absolutely buy a box of these. The flavor was awesome and included leather and mild spice. The one I had drew a little tight, but the flavor was so good it didn't bother me much. (Scores would have been straight 10's otherwise).

"A great little cigar"
This is a spectacular cigar. Its taste is consistent with the best Montecristos. Its beautifull and perfectly made. It has a perfect draw and consistent from one cigar to the next. Its flavor is complex, both sweet and creamy. It is leathery and nutty with a hint of chocolate. Its smoke has a great aroma and is one of the few cigars I smoke that my wife likes the way it smells. It is a solid and reliable cigar with a great value. It will age well and is enjoyable with lunch or later in the day.

"A star is born"
I had my first PE a couple of days ago.I think that the dark ages of cuban and more to the point Monte cigars are a past to be forgotten. This small robusto reminds me of my first m's ages ago when i started with cigar smoking. Respectable construction, very good draw, nice burn and an array of flavours that reminds of spices, cream and nuts and it can only get better. Excellent choice of the size too, practical and satisfying to the smoker. Bravo!

"fine smoke"
one of the best cigars I have ever had. I liked this one better than the Monty #2. Much milder and easier on the palate. toasty and knid of nutty. Cuban twang is prominent. A first class cigar. I want a box of them now. Hope I can get them to me!!!!

"Montecristo Petit Edmundo"
I read about these in cigar mag and bought a few, gave them a month in the box and shared the experience over Independence day at the beach. Was a perfect smoke to end the day, not too long a smoke(I wished there was a few more minutes) and I did smoke it til my fingers were hot. I really enjoyed the smooth, noticeable yet subtle flavors. Well worth it.

"Montecristo petit edmundo"
I agree with previous rater that still a little young, but still a superb cigar. Smoked one immediately upon purchase, then had to have another one a week later. Also a pretty good value for a Cuban.

"A cracker of a smoke"
Firstly this new release, around November 2006, is still too young. But its got something already. Secondly the whole idea of a petit robusto seems crazy to some.... All that said this new PE is such a nice smoke. Full of spice and toffee and cream. I am excited about it. Will be interesting with more time on it.
