"Smooth and Mild"
Very smooth and effortless draw. Mild but complex flavor with what me and a friend would describe as the subtle hint of fresh buttered biscuits. There was no "ashy" aftertaste at all. This is a good everyday cigar or how I like to describe it "The picnic cigar" Could be smoked at any point in the day, not neccessarilly after a meal because it only left me with a mild buzz yet it was suprisingly full of flavor and aroma. I will definately be adding this to my rotation.

"Excellent little Cigar"
This was a very nice smoke. I was pleasantly surprised, as a full bodied smoker, I tend to stick with the Habano if I am going to smoke a Nub, but the Connecticut still had tons of flavor, though a bit on the mild side. Excellent morning smoke, maybe with a cup of coffee. Has some similarity to a 601 Black Label, which I also enjoyed

"dont underestimate"
picked one up at my local b&m and originally thought it would be a quick smoke. he quickly corrected me.
took me close to 1.5 hours. burn is nice and slow and you didnt need to worry about it going out even if you went a coupe minutes between draws. for the price its great.

"it does live up to the hype"
I have found the Connecticut to be almost overly mild, but the fabulous flavor and construction make up for that. As far as I can tell the entire Nub line is worth a try. I'd love to put some away but I think the temptation would get the best of me and they wouldn't make it.

"Hub Bub on the Nub"
I've had the pleasure to smoke all three of the presently released wrappers on this little power house of Oliva. The Connecticut version is the mildest and would rate out at a 6 on strength. Construction is impeccible with a beautiful tan wrapper with limited veinage. Burn qualities were very nice, taking about 40 minutes to complete a pleasant smoke. General taste notes include a mild creaminess and light oaky wood flavors. Definitely worth a try.

"Sweet spot?"
This cigar was well constructed and had a grassy prelit aroma. The draw was good and the burn was mostly even. The flavors were nutty, creamy, woody, with a hint of leather here and there. I don't believe the sweet spot marketing BS, but this is a good cigar none the less. The ring gauge is a little on the large size for my likings, but it's something different to try.

"does it live up to the hype?"
This cigar has got to be one of the most hyped up cigars out there right now, so I thought I'd give at least one a shot. The basic premise is that the "Sweet spot" of a cigar can be "cultivated" in such a way that that spot lasts for the entire length of the cigar. Now, for starters I never really noticed this "sweet spot" thing, for me it's always a linear decline in taste starting from the first puff. Sure, complexities change, but the best part of a cigar for me, is always the first few minutes.
Anyways so the idea is to use a large ring gauge and I guess some "secret" use of the filler positioning. Does it work? Well, yes and no.
The cigar itself is short and fat; an unusual construction to say the least. It's part of the Nub theory to have a large ring. Construction is good. No burn problems or wrapper probs. Rather loose draw.
Starts out faily strong and tastes pretty typical Nicaraguan, tempered a bit by the conn wrapper. Lots of wood and spice. The flavor starts to fade about an inch down and takes on a more sugary character, but it still retains quite a bit of complexity beyond what an average cigar might; I guess this is the "nub special construction" at work. When all is said and done I think it's impossible to really tell if this is a new sort of way of thinking about making cigars. To me it's more like a gimmick. I can't really distinguish anything special about it. However this is a decent cigar and they're cheap, so worth a try for anyone.

"Great concept"
Very nice looking smoke with impeccable burn. Absolutely perfect the whole way through. Decent draw, a tendency to burn hot; so any looser draw would most likely make this a scorcher. All in all, an enjoyable smoke. Looking forward to trying the rest of this line.
