"???"
Had one during the fireworks for the 4th this year and I don't get it. I've tried 3 Opus X and all are very boring and unflavorful to me. Tasted like smoke, no flavor at all.

"Great 2 hour smoke"
Lit this one up for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals...great choice. Perfect burn and draw, gobs of smoke with intermittent flavor changes. Black cherry, honey and cashews were among the most prominent. Not as much of an a$$kicker as some of the Opus I've smoked, but a great cigar nonetheless...too bad they are so damned expensive!

"now what?"
I've been sitting on these for months. Proper care, humi time and great anticipation. A cigar of this reputation requires the right occasion. Excellent construction, great pre-light aroma and flavor. I smoked these to the band and beyond waiting for the "WOW". I'm still waiting...I''m sure I'll fall prey to the hype again next year as they make great gifts. There are a boatload of cigars out there much better than this.

"Smoothe"
One of the best cigars I have had. Yes it is not the best but it is up there. Fuente is a marketing genius and I believe the anticipation leads to a little disappointment but who's ever really wanted to get a beautiful woman in bed and once you do it wasnt all that good...or was it?

"All hat and no cattle"
Usual Opus X. Exquisite packaging. Poor burn and not much flavor. Rough draw. Kind of like dressing a bum in a tuxedo. Very disappointing waste of $25.00.

"Don't see the fuss"
This is a good cigar, don't get me wrong. It's no different than any other Opus though. I hope the glass, and CD, and packaging isn't impressing folk.

"Fuente Raises the Bar"
In 1999, the leather Opus X Atoll case came with three Reserve D' Chateau Opus X cigars. I kept these cigars for 4 years and smoked them in late 2003. These three cigars were simply amazing in their construction, flavor, and beauty. I have not had a better Opus X or their equal since.
Fuente's Forbidden X tastes like a perfectly aged Opus X. The familiar Opus X flavor is there, but more subtle. The burn is slightly faster and quick to go out without attention. The taste in your mouth prior to lighting is less spicy or peppery, but just as tantilizing.
The ash is characteristically white and long to cling to the end of the cigar.
What was THE cigar label is now redefined and equally beautiful in black. I wish I could stop smoking them, at $30 a cigar, they are not a "daily" smoke - for most economic classes.
It is no strain on one's credulity, that this IS a must try for any cigar fan - Padron Anniversary may be more consistent and require a bit less attention in the humidor, but no Padron inculcates the senses like a Forbidden X.

"Forbidden x"
Being a lover of OpusX this was a must try for me! Love the new label with the black background and the word forbidden across it! I bought the platinum edition Dvd box set for $60 with 2 cigars. My first impression is that this is the smoothest opusx I have ever smoked. Lots of smoke too...so much you can chew on it. This cigar begs to be smoked leave it alone for more than a minute and it will go out! Incredible flavor, don't let the smoothness fool you, by the end I was feeling it! I'll definitely buy up all of these I can get my hands on! Well done Fuente!!

"Christmas Smoke"
This is one of the two included in the DVD set. I had them napping in the Humi for the better part of a year. This is truly as close to a Cuban than any other Dominican I've ever had. the construction was among the best and the burn was even down to the nub. The spicy smoke and complex taste, with Kick was beyond belief. A must try for special occasion... a must try treat!

"Spicy!"
This is my 5th one of these sticks. They are incredilbly smooth and creamy with a kick. I have had this in the humi for about 9 months. I have a few more that I'm gonna wait a couple years on. These are definitely a classic smoke.

"an Amazing smoke"
My cigar partner-in-crime and I smoked a pair of these on our graduation day, and might I dare say they are one of the best smoked I have ever had. I found them to be very mild, and only when you let the smoke seep through your nose were you able to taste the wonderful flavors. I would recommend this to anyone with a good deal of money or a special occassion.

"Must Try"
A smoke that must be tried and that is very complex with the flavor changes. Started off a little slow but turned out great, not worth the money but a must try once

"Wonderful Smoke"
Got a couple from the DVD set. Smoked one with a friend one night. Wonderful cigar. Th extra few years of age really made the difference. Great flavor and nice draw.

"Nice"
Smooth and cool all the way down to the end. Spicy and heady without all the pomp and circumstance found in other cigars. Construction was top notch with no burning problems and a great draw. Although this was a great quality smoke and a limited edition, $25 is still a bitter pill.

"Forbidden X"
This is the limited edition (20000)2 cigar's with the DVD. I smoked one of the Forbidden X's & put the other up for a special occasion. The first half of the smoke kept wanting to go out & not burn even, but after that it was fine !!!!
